2022 PORTFOLIO

In 2022, I have been promoted to Asistant Project Manager in HEXXA Internatinal Industrial Limited,(HEXXA). HRC is a brand of HEXXA.

HEXXA is a reliable Licensed Radio Control Car manufacturer and providing a full range of service including concept design, 3D tooling, prototyping, engineering & production, packing design. HEXXA are the official licensee of many top car brands, include but are not limited to Audi, Hummer, Honda, Jeep, Lexus, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Subaru, Suzuki, Toyota.

My job in HEXXA is focusing on product development , such as concept, design, follow status with factories, comunicate with customers, manage company website and youtube channel, etc.

Base on my works, I am confident to work with design tools and softwares. Adobe creative cloud: (Photoshop, illustrator, Lightroom, inDesign, XD. I am also open to have more challenges in the future.

JONESJ DESIGN is a brand of my own design projects. I have set up a instagram account to showcase my works. More design works will be upodated in the future.

In 2022, HEXXA's aim was going to expand business in worldwide. The first thing to do was needed a website which people from all over the world can see and understand what HEXXA business is about.

One of my misson in the begining of 2022 was design a website for HEXXA. First of all, research online for more inspirations. After a few dicussoin with team, we gathered some points from other companies and agreed to follow these points to design HEXXA website.

Points:

- Light colour background

- Thin navigation bar

- Drop down menu

- 4 big product categories

- Responsive design

- Website layout

I handle all designed components on the website, including logos, images, all products' images, slide videos, banners, Fonts size and style, look and feel, created Google map location for HEXXA, etc. After confirmed desgin by our team, it sent to IT team to do coding and testing. I followed from begining to the end which the website was officially launched.

After the website is launched, I have to maintance and update the website regulaily on WordPress. Every images on the website is tailor made. It was very challenging because all has to be in certain size and resolutions. When it was finally looking nice, I felt like achievements unlocked.

Some product images usually modified heavily in Photoshop. They usually used in showcase events as poster or website as concept image. To achieve the best result, different layers are created for different effects in the image.

1/24 Audi RS Q e-tron

Audi is one of the favourite brands customers like. For this year 2022, we are able to get this Audi RS Q e-tron licsenced in 1/24 scale RC car. One of our customer ask for a PVC car body version.

PVC car body is light, cost effective, unlimted graphics design and look great. Some people likes, some people not. We also believe that we will have ABS body soon.

This is one of my favourite projects. From the begining, I have to look for 3D model of the car. Normally, we can buy it online on 3D modeling website. Fortunately, I found the 3D online otherwise it may take so much time for factory to create it from 0.

After sent 3D model file to factory, they have to modify the 3D model to fit on our 1/24 RC chassis.

Factory also started to build phyical prototype. When I recived the prototypes from factory, I have to check the car body details. Every single bits were important. Only way to check is from pictures online, so we also requested Audi to check together. For the best result, factory needed to modify a few times. Good news was refinement took not a long time. We managed to get Audi approval very soon.

After confirmed 3D. Tooling was immediately with graphics design for PVC car body. I must created the real car graphics base on real car pictures.

In the end, The 1/24 PVC Audi RS Q e-tron was beautifully done. This was one of the best projects handled by me.

Final Prototype

Every year, company wants to update their image to give customer a refreshing look. For HEXXA, we wanted to refresh our packaging box for our all RC products.

We decided to use Red, Black, Light Gray to make family pack so that we can stand out the crowd.

Near in the end of 2022, 2023 Catalogue usually needs to be ready before 2023. I decided to make a booklet for 2023 catalogue.

In the catalogue, I used a lot photoshopped images. becuase it can shows how cool the RC car can be and let customer knows we are professional and passional in our products.

There are 26 pages including front and back pages.

These are my best 4 pages in the 2023 catalogue. They look exciting to be played one of these RC car. I enjoyed how its presented to customer soon.

FIAT 500 Club Hong Kong

Designing logo is very interesting to me. This time I designed for "Fiat 500 Club Hong Kong". It was Inspirated by Abarth 70th Anniversary badge. I took its base shape and put Fiat logo on it. Abarth and Fiat are having strong relationship in motoring world.

I made stickers for interior, and static stickers for windows. Menbers in the club liked it. You can see the logo on windscreen is sharp and nice.

MINI ELECTRIC HK

MINI COOPER SE is the only model in the MINI ELECTRIC HK. The special thing of the Mini Cooper SE is the Power Stoke Wheels. It is special made for this model and a great opportunity to create the logo by using the wheel shape(13A 220V power wall shape).

The colour I used on the logo are Elecric Yellow, Black, White and Light Gray.

OLD BENZ CLUB HONG KONG

Another club logo designed for. The design was inspirated by Mercedes Benz logo. Customer requested to use dark blue and red for their club logo. I created 6 logos for them. They can reveal other styles in the future as an updates.
