The 2015 full size Transit Van is available with two engines. The tried & tested 3.5L Ecoboost Twin-Turbo V6 tuned for strong 400lb ft low end torque with 310hp. EPA fuel economy rating is 14 city / 19 hwy which will of course vary with load carried.
The other gas engine option is the 3.7L V6 with 275hp and 260lb ft torque. There is also a compressed natural gas / liquid petroleum gas / CNG/LPG Engine prep package available.
Another new engine option is a 3.2L I-5 Powerstroke Turbo Diesel. This new engine produces 350lb ft of torque and 185hp. EPA has not rated this model but we expect good economy figures from the diesel engine combo.
Max payload is 4,650 lbs and max towing 7,500lbs when properly equipped.
Full size Transits are also available in the Wagon format with 2 wheelbases and 3 rooflines with carrying capacity from 8 to 15 persons. Chassis cabs and cutaways are also available.
