1. My second year project, a boat maker workshop. Skilled boat maker are lesser nowadays and it is important to keep this tradition to our next generation. How to introduce and promote this cul ture to the public is the main concern. Will the integration of boat making technique into the workshop construction, the tectonic produced a sense of satisfaction to the boatmakers themselves.
2. We had a studio exhange with Institute Technology of Bandung in Indonesia in the semester break. The site is chosen in a village called Kampung Dago Pojok. By staying there for 3 weeks, we took the opportunity fully to understand the site context and produced a scheme which is suitable for a community library proposal.

4. 3. This was my first time exposed to measured drawing which required a team to measure a heritage building and produce a set of report and drawing for future use. The heritage building is a abandoned fire station in Kuala Kubu Bharu, Selangor. Beside the measuring work, I was the report writer in the team. Working in a team was so much fun!
This project was done in my third year. This visitor center is important by serving its function in Malacca, a historic state in Malaysia. With the intepretation of site in different aspects such as vehicle and pedestrian traffic flow, we fully utilize the site in the city center of Malacca.

Projects involved from 2015-2017
This project was done after the visitor center. It is a community ifelong learning center in Malacca. This was my first try to fully produce the board digitally. The learning center was meant to educate youth and adult about green recycling and the fun of growing own food. From the germination of seed, harvesting the crops, cleaning and selling process until recomposition of waste food, the recycling process is completely shown to the public.
I am keen to collapse the categories and boundaries between architecture, fine art, and documentary photography. COMMUNITY LIBRARY When the park become a library and the library become a park
2
Our site in Kampung Dago Pojok was a place with beautiful view of the Bandung city and lovely people living in a community. That was the first impression when I reached there.
How to integrate the reading habit into the life style of that community would be the main question, since it was not easy to attract people to take a book out from shelf and read.Having so much beautiful elements to be preserved, it turns the library into a park and a park into a library. Library was not the main idea that I wanted to promote. In fact, the community library was just a plus point, either for the t elderly who went there for a walk or the youth who went there to play. There are two massing; the block closer to the street are for family and children while the block that had the full view are for students, avid reader and researches. Thin steel columns of 110mm diameter ease tense feeling under the heavy concrete green roof. Bamboo louvers set in the steel frame folding doors provide flexibility and allow air ventilation. Washrooms are screen using green bamboo. Banana trees are planted as the food source of the kiosk, while paddy field terrace was restored. The meeting place of two blocks became the communication platform between villagers. Intersection of axis through the food be stall and gathering place makes interaction between people more significant.

3 From the site investigation, we need to record every detail measurement, ornamentation and understand the construction methods as well as the materials used. Teamwork among members and time management is crucial in every stage to make sure the full set drawings can be produced correctly within time. The drawings will be conducted partially manual and partially digital. Throughout the process, digital and manual skills are both been polished up before entering new semester in 2014. Being the reporter for the group, all documents were gathered, analysed and compiled. The current building condition, marks left, materials used were examined to produce a list of renovations that had been made throughout its operation period. Photos and drawings obtained were analysed and compared. Information lacks were searched through other mass media in order to make a more accurate assumption.
MEASURED DRAWING OF KKB FIRE STATION Measured drawing is a translation of a three dimensional into a two dimensional form. It is done on buildings that are old, contain historical and aesthetics values. The records of this measured drawing also serves as an important data and measurement of the building when it needs to be rebuilt, restored or renovated.

Designing for the ease of tourists obtaining information is the key. By studying the potential human activity flow across the site, series of walls and columns are generated to indicate a clearer path. People get the sense of direction and orientation of position through visual connection with the outdoor. The actual and implied relationships of transparent modes or operations are seen in opposition to each other, creating ambigious diaelectic or double overlapping of planes and spaces. by connecting, layering, and revealing the spaces in the building, the daily routine of the users becomes transparent and a dialogue between the community may develop.
VISI TOR CEN TER The implied planes formed by the columns and beams cut through the volumns in such a way to create a condition in space where actual space can be read as layered. --------Eisenman,1975
The site is located af cente of the historic Melaka City which is listed as UNESCO world conservation site. The area is rich with historical and socio cultural history being one of the most important marine entreport city in South East Asia from the 15th century and was subject to power struggle and cplonisation by the Portugese, Dutch and Brifish.

WORK II: HERITAGE SHOPHOUSE
ADAPTIVE REUSE Measured drawing and HIA report was prepared to investidate and examine the qualification of works on a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This report is a Heritage Impact Assessment (HIA) for the application of planning permission for the proposed amendments and addition to the existing 2-storeys building with mezzanin floor as well as change of use to hotel (21 rooms) on 117 Victoria Street, 335 Beach Street, Lot 98, Sek.23, D.T.L., George Town, Penang. This section of Beach Street S and Victoria Street are located in the Core Zone of the World Heritage Site (WHS). This document is prepared in accordance with the 2010 Draft Guidelines for Heritage Impact Assessment for the World Heritage Cities of Melaka and George Town. The impact assessment addresses the plans prepared by B.K. Ooi Architect and any assessments made regarding the impact to the Core Zone will be written in reference only to the changes in design of the buildings as they now stand. on
The intention of this report is to view the impact that this proposed Change of Use will have on the site, surrounding context, the Outstanding Universal Values (OUVs) of the WHS, and more specifically to the building itself. George Town WHS is a historic urban environment where the built, natural and living cultural landscapes come together to reflect the rich history of both the natives of the island and those of the migrant populations. Over the years, social and economic values resulting from the mutual exchanges between the settlers and the land had helped to form the island’s identity. Traditions brought from foreign homelands, were adapted to fit the new place, most of which can still be found mirrored in the living cultures of today. George Town has become a cultural melting pot whereby the existing heritage become testimonies to its entrepreneurial forefathers, and just as activities were rife in the trading days, they are equally as busy today.

PHOTOGRAPHY I am keen to collapse the categories and boundaries between architecture, fine art, and documentary photography. Just to look at how photography can be used as a medium, not to just look at the intentions of architects but their lived experience and lived reality, and at the same time also explore the symbolic value of architecture in the photographic medium. I love photography because it taught me to see, not just grand landscapes but to small imitate details. To notice and apprieciate what is happening around me in a slower pace after a whole day studio work. By capturing the essence of moment in time, I can see life through the eyes of someone else and feel the connection that help us to understand one another better.

PHOTOGRAPHY DOGS FOR ADOPTION Photographers play an important role in society and one that is perhaps much more vital than some would initially think. Photography isn’t just a means of documenting the present for the future, but it’s also a brilliant way of visually exploring and supporting issues in order to challenge and change people’s perceptions.
SPCA Penang is a non-profit/non-governmental organization with the aim to help educate the public in responsible pet ownership. As a volunteer for SPCA in Penang, I love to takes photograph the animals that are up for adoption so that prospective owners will see the pets at their best. A positive picture of a well-groomed pet means a better chance at adoption.

CHINESE WATERCOLOR PAINTING
Nowadays, many are rediscovering the beauty of traditional Chinese arts and the benefits attached to practise them. Chinese saying: "Absorbed in painting, you know not old age is coming". Chinese painting is known to greatly benefit our mind and our body. After I left Architecture school, I joined the Chinese watercolor painting class every week to learn new skills and make new friends. Students learn how to use their wrist, elbow, forearm ... to move the Chinese brush energetically with control in the class.
Through the learning process, we were taught to master the brush to draw the proper sizes; create energetic movement; control the expanding of water; create proper shade for the ink and color. Rediscovering the beauty of traditional Chinese arts and the benefits attached to practice them was a reward after a hard day's work. My dream is to create art and architectural design of beauty that is versatile in functionality, and at the same time never fails to
