The Barossa Weintal is situated in the quiet, peaceful surroundings of the Barossa, close to some of Australia’s most famous wineries and vineyards. The Barossa Weintal itself is located in the small township of Tanunda, known as the heart and soul of the Barossa, filled with distinct church spiers, cafés, restaurants, wineries and boutique shops.

A range of facilities are available for you to experience during your stay. Hire a bike and discover the Barossa, enjoy a meal at our in-house restaurant Angus & Co. Bar and Grill or enjoy a picnic in the garden.

For your convenience, we also offer free wireless internet access. Access cards are available from reception.

For those without a car, book a unique wine tour or consider a private wine tasting. The Barossa Farmers Markets are held every Saturday morning, near Angaston, showcasing local produce from local growers.

Adventure For those looking for action, consider taking in the picturesque views by bike. Create your own itinerary or make use of The Barossa Trail Cycle Track. The 40km sealed track leads from Angaston to Gawler and passes through Nuriootpa, Tanunda and Lyndoch. If you’d prefer a bird’s eye view of the stunning vineyards, consider a hot-air balloon ride or take an unforgettable helicopter flight over the Valley, just don’t forget your camera.

History Discover the rich heritage of the Barossa for yourself. Visit up to 20 preserved churches and cemeteries to find out their unique stories. Immerse yourself in the history of the Barossa and follow the Barossa Heritage Trail as it takes you on a journey throughout the region, visiting the Barossa’s earliest settlements in Bethany. Stop by Seppeltsfield, famed for its red soil, palm tree lined road and the winery that the Seppelt family established in 1850.
