Bondi & Paddington

Buses depart from Alfred St Stand B all day and night. The express bus is the 333. You may also change at Bondi Junction for the 380 (Bondi Beach and Watsons Bay) or 313 to Coogee Beach

These bus services will take you through the city via Oxford Street where you can explore the Paddington area that has a variety of boutique cafés, restaurants and Australian designer fashion stores in some lovely old terrace houses. The bus will continue via Bondi Junction Westfield’s Shopping Mall, which has two towers of shopping, entertainment and dining options. From there it is down the hill to the famous Bondi Beach. There are many enjoyable activities to do in Bondi, including surf lessons, swimming, Bondi to Coogee Walk, boutique shopping, cafés, restaurants and bars.

Manly

The Manly Ferry departs from Wharf 3 at Circular Quay approximately every 30 minutes.

You will find an excellent variety of cafés, pubs and more trendy dining options. It is a 10 minute walk through The Corso to Manly Beach. There are many enjoyable activities to do in Manly, including surf lessons, snorkelling at Shelly Beach, North Head National Park walk, bicycle hire, roller blading and water sports.

There is also the Manly Fast Ferry from Wharf 2.

Opal Card

Opal cards are smartcard tickets that you keep, reload and reuse to pay for travel on public transport.

Add value to your Opal card then tap on and tap off to pay your fares on trains, buses, ferries and light rail—anywhere within the Opal network. Opal cards are free but must be loaded with a minimum of $20 to use on any public transport and are found at most convenience stores. If only travelling for a single fare you will need to get an Opal Single ticket. These tickets can be purchased at a ticket machine near most train stations.

If you have an American Express, Mastercard or Visa credit or debit card or a linked device, you can use it to pay for your travel by tapping on and tapping off at Opal readers. Just look for the contactless payment symbol . Contactless payments are available on all public transport in the Opal network.
