Poet Jordan 'As the tide came in I wished that you were my bear' (Volume 32)

Be a poet, I said to myself, Quietly, Show the world, The words you can write, Tell a story, So all can read, Relate to in some way, Be a poet, Share the words, Hoping some may say, Something in return, Just so that I know, The words that I write, Aren’t lost in space, Be a poet, In my own way, With some way, To say, What stories, I have to tell. With your hand placed upon his heart, The other hand holding him close, You look up into his eyes, As your body language, Looks at ease with love, The smile across your face, Tells a story that would be many chapters, But as seen the smile tells more than a thousand words, It is something that quite simply, Cannot be put into words, To describe how you feel, As you look up he leans down, To kiss you upon your lips, In a way to show, That the smile he sees, Is all he needs, Before long, Arms are stretched, Around each other, Before walking into the distance, Arm in arm, With presumption, That there is smiles upon their faces, As they walk away, In happiness. Give me a picture, And I will find where you are, Show me the view you see, And I will walk to find it, As distinctive as you are, The land will give me clues, To where you are, And where you walk, Give me a picture, And I will do all I can, To walk into that image, And stand next to you, The beauty of the land, Is almost as beautiful as you, From the picture I will find you, Wherever you may be across the land. As I stand upon Coopers Hill, To the North is the saviour, That be Churchdown hill, To the West, Stands Robinswood Hill, The unknown entity, But a good view, All the same, Travel South East, And a Roman Villa, Will await for you, To explore and imagine, What it would have been like, To live amongst the hills, Travel in a southerly direction, And you will find a beacon, By the name of Painswick, With a walk to a trig point, Full of views, If not a chilly wind, Will usually welcomes you, Whichever direction, There are plenty of paths to walk, From one hill to another and back again, Robinswood Hill, A place explored, But never really understood, As a pleasant walk it gives, Yet doesn't set the mind on fire with ideas, Somehow never fitting into my thoughts, But still a place, To stretch the lungs, And the mind to breathe, Maybe a few more walks, To explore here and there, Will show the mind, What it is, That it misses. Coopers Hill Forever a muse, A place to walk, In sunshine, A bask in the views, As the summer sun shines, And in snow, If it shall fall over the winter months, I write the name of the love I have, Upon the ground, When the sun is setting, A place to be, To see the light change, And the colours come alive, A hill walked many times, Yet each time, Is a different experience, In thoughts and walks, As the journey of life continues, Forever a muse, A place to walk, To clear the mind, And set the words free. Churchdown Hill A saviour, A place where I feel at ease, As I walk around the church grounds, Views simply breathtaking, After walking through the trees, A sight worth every step to see, The world opens up, As I reach the top of the hill, With the church standing proud, The views stretch for miles, When the sun shines, I rest upon the wooden bench, The mind breathes, The poetry breathes, I breathe with ease, Never did I think, A hill would be a saviour, Yet here it is, A saviour. Hill After Hill The view Can be seen Mile Upon Mile Standing Next to me Is the love I live to be Hill After Hill We walk We keep Walking Mile After Mile After walking to the summit, We stood side by side, To admire the view, Both in front of us, And the beauty, We stand next to, You huddled in close, As the wind was brisk, Your nose turned red, Yet your eyes gave me warmth, We held hands, Up and across, The green fields we walked, Never did we let go, As we descended, I held your hand tighter, As I didn’t want you to fall, Nor I want to let go of you, After the walk, The roaring fire, Warmed our chilly feet, Closer now than ever, I began to change, From being lost and incomplete, To a found and complete soul. My heart melts when it sees your eyes Whether it be in person or in a photograph my heart simply melts as it misses you when I think about you My heart melts as I look at the picture waiting to see you once again. Whilst I was looking across the land, Admiring the view that is before my eyes, I forgot that the view behind, Is that of equal beauty. You can tell from your eyes, As you stare at the camera, That you hold happiness, Within your soul, And you look like, You’ll never let it go. The walk to the hill, And the view that it has, I don’t think, That people will ever understand, Partly because, They don’t understand me, The only way I could explain, Is that if I take you there, When the sun shines bright, (The sun shining would help), Walking with you, Talk with you, Why this place means so much, And why it inspires, Me to write, And why the hill, Is a place that I come to, To think, ponder, explore. Be I As I Do believe You & I Are as one, If not, The only one. Love & belief What I have for you. Once you admit something, The world changes a little, Simple words, Seem the best, To say the most So to say, I like you, May not mean much, To you as you hear me, Adore you, I adore you, Never expecting, A word to come back, Yet I stand afar, Admiring a heart, So close, To mine, Yet so far. I used to fall asleep, Listening to music, Taking me to a place, Far away from the world is now, So I gently fall asleep, Dreaming, From the dream I would wake, Listening to music, That would send me back, To my world of dreams, Peacefully and quietly. From where I sit, I see the fields leading to the hill, Where we should walk, And when the time is right, Kiss along the path, As we share our hearts, In the way that I live, For you and I, To be able to walk to the hill, Side by side, Without a care in the world. When you See happiness Leave it be As why should It be disturbed Poetry: My way to be me. By me. I wish you were my bear I wish you were my bear, As I would hold you close, Lay down next to you, When I need you most, My bear with beautiful eyes, I need not look elsewhere, For a blue filled sky, Those eyes are all I need to see, If you were my bear, I wouldn’t care, Even if the world crumbled around me, As I would have you my bear, By my side to help me, I wish you were my bear, Then I wouldn’t be in so much despair, As I see a bear in need of a hug, And I’d hold you close, My little bear, To keep you safe, warm, And to care for you more, Than I could ever care to imagine. The sun sets, For the final time, Deeper and darker, Does the sun become, When we go further, Into the winter wind, The days are shorter, Warmth is scarce, Yet we wait, Until the sun rises, And the cool air, Cannot be cold no longer, As it starts to warm up, From the rays of light, That have been hidden, For month upon month, I'll be, A Tree, You be, A bird, And you, Can sit, Upon me, Looking across, The world, As we, Spend time, With eyes, For each other, To admire, Us two, In this, Wide world. May I love you, In the way life, Has taught me so, For I dream today, That you & I, Will be our future, May I love you, From my humble heart, As I truly know, I love you. Stand Tall Here I, Stand tall, Not far, From you, As I, Call out, Not knowing, If you, Can hear, My heart, Beat loudly, As you, Are near, And I, Listen out, For you, To stand, Here next, To me. The hill so close The hill so close, I feel I could walk there today, Yet life lives on, And the hill has to wait, How we become, Lost in time, And what matters, Is just past by, When it’s all too late, We wonder why, We let the time we had, Slip away from us, As the hill is so close, I will one day walk more, To and from a place, That has the mind captured, In a beautiful world, So close I could reach out, Almost grasp your beauty, But time holds me back, Just a little bit more, The hill so close, Grateful I’ll be, For being able to see you, And one day, I will walk there today. Even if we didn’t know You and I, Made the world, As round as it could be, Holding hands, Running through the trees, To the other side, Even if we didn’t know, Where we were going, At least we knew, That we had each other, We trusted one another, With our lives, With the direction we travelled, Whatever there was, On the other side, That we couldn’t see, We knew we had each other, And that is all we needed. You be you, And I’ll be me, And if we, Ever cross paths again, You can be me, And I’ll be you, You were my mistake, You knew what was at stake, I couldn’t let go of you, No matter how much I tried, You were my pleasant thorn, In my side, Keeping me on my toes, Yet painful to let go of, Everything was at stake, When I stood by you, However I stood by you, As I honestly thought, You were the risk I needed, With the confidence gone, I need to walk, Upon you grass filled fields, To get my thoughts back, And into the correct order, I see where I like to walk, From afar, Yet you’d think, It was further than a mile or two away, The grass filled fields, Upon an incline, Gets the blood flowing, And awakes the memory, To what needs addressing, And what needs to be forgotten, I was lost in your eyes as I looked at you, And when you walked away, I was lost in this wor

4. As you stare at the camera You can tell from your eyes, As you stare at the camera, That you hold happiness, Within your soul, And you look like, You’ll never let it go, What I see before me, Are eyes that do not lie, Giving a tentative heart, Signs that you are happy, With no need to worry, You can tell from your eyes, The camera does not lie, Capturing the light, That the eyes give out, Is pure happiness, From the camera, To the picture, Your eyes remain, As seen through the lens, Holding happiness, Never ever planning, To let go of what you have.

5. The natural camera The natural camera, Sees the light, In its natural way, Best enjoyed, Still and silent, Taking in what is seen, And remembered forever, As the eyes see raw beauty, Whether it be a view of land, sea or air, Or even the beauty that is you, (And yes you are beautiful), The eyes are our natural camera, The only camera we may ever need.

13. Words into poems (by the Poet) You are the words, And I am the poet, That puts those words, Into the right order, So that the words you speak, Are seen and heard by everyone, Even if they don’t know, That the words are from you, You may not even know, That you are the words, Or your presence, That inspires the words, That I put into order, The words I hear, Make me see you in a different way, As I feel funny inside, When I be next to you, As those words, Are needed to be ordered, To even make sense, Of what I feel, The words, Spoken or otherwise, Make me realise, I have a dream, To write, What I see, What I feel, What I hear, What I do, With you.
