Programs One of the most difficult decisions a student makes when attending college is choosing a major. In the programs section we let the student know it's okay if they are unsure what they want to do. We then show them a few programs and a little bit about them.

Cost College has many expenses that high school students may not be aware of. The cost section informs college-bound students about general costs and some costs that they might not know about. After they know what they need to pay for, we then tell them how to pay for it in a well organized intuitive linear slider.

Subsidized & Unsubsidized. Subsidized is the better of the two types.
An interest rate percent is the amount of the debt added to the total.
These are the most cost efficient loans because they do not add interest until six months after you graduate.
Unsubsidized Loans - 6.8% These start adding interest right away but the interest rate stays the same. INTEREST RATE FOR UNDERGRADUATES 2013
Tip As long as you are enrolled at least 6 credits a semester, your Subsidized Loans will not accrue interest until after you graduate. This means that you won’t have any additional debt added to your loan until 6 months after you leave school.
Tip Even Unsubsidized loans are much better than most alternatives or private loans (almost universally) because the interest rate is fixed and usually much lower.

Tip The amount of money awarded in a grant varies based on the year and budget. Always try to figure out how much is being offered and above all, submit everything early.

Dear, Mr. Plainfield I am applying for the Baccalaureate Graphic Design program at Ferris State University. The past two years have taught me so much about graphic design and has further strengthened my desire to participate in the program. I have been interested in the graphic arts most of my life, and I chose to pursue this field after job-shadowing a graphic designer my senior year of high school. After learning more about the field, I have made it my priority to obtain a degree in the graphic design profession. With my acquired skill set and passion to succeed, I feel I will be an excellent addition to the program. Ferris State University’s Baccalaureate program has everything I am looking for in a graphic design degree. This program is known for having excellent job placement statistics, and is one of the few design programs in the nation affiliated with the college of business. This will allow me to gain valuable experience within the business aspect of the graphic design field. I am also given the opportunity to work with actual clients, further preparing me for real life situations.
106 N. Michigan Ave Big Rapids, MI 49307
I believe that I have the drive, passion, and skill set necessary to succeed in the Baccalaureate Graphic Design program. The previous two years have taught me what it takes to be a graphic designer. I have also been offered an internship for the summer of 2011 with a design firm called Curve Detroit. With the experience I have gained from the program thus far, and the real world experience I will gain this summer, I feel I will be more than ready to continue my education in the Baccalaureate Graphic Design program. Thank you for considering my application for the Baccalaureate Graphic Design program at Ferris State University. Please let me know if there is any additional information I can provide.
Sincerely,
Mark Sweppenheiser

Posters Instead of focusing on the negative consequences of drinking, smoking or sex, the Good Choices campaign focuses on highlighting the positive decisions students are making. Using the popular meme “said no one ever”, we were able to create a poster series that brought attention to these topics in a humorous and somewhat controversial way.
