eople have been telling many of us here at Trucks Plus for years that we should think of doing some sort of New Product/Buyers Guide for Trucks, as the aftermarket truck accessory industry has never been bigger. So we finally decided to take a look into doing exactly that. And luckily for you truck owners looking to accessorize your ‘pride and joy’ with the latest that the industry has to offer, we decided to take the plunge and produce this 2013 Trucks Plus New Product Buyers Guide.

Whether it’s a new design in Tonneau Covers, Lighting, Suspension or Hitches, there is a wide variety of new products that come to market in every applicable category for you to choose from. And that’s why we’ve decided to do this guide - to give Canadian Consumers a resource to keep track of what’s new and/or improved for 2013. A good indicator of just how much the industry has grown over the past few years is the yearly SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nevada. Our company has been represented at the show for the past 11 years, and while there may have been a hiccup in growth after the hit to the economy in 2008, we can say that from our own experience, the Truck Section at SEMA now has

respective truck offerings. Given that the Ford F-150 pickup has been the best-selling vehicle in Canada for 47 consecutive years; not just the best-selling truck, but the best-selling vehicle overall, clearly Canadians love their trucks.

Whether it’s for use on the farm, in building construction, oil rigs, as a mobile office or trailer hauler….or just as an urban utility hauler of the kids and groceries, there are more and more varied reasons for their use every day. Along with the variety of uses for each vehicle driven, comes the appetite for new aftermarket products to customize and accessorise these rides to the particular tastes of their respective owners. In producing this first New Product Guide for you, we have tried to assemble as wide a sampling of available new products for as wide a number of applications possible. We no doubt will have missed a few, but are very open to suggestion as to how to make what we will be publishing as our annual New Product Guide, the best and most comprehensive that it can be.
size pickups spend $875 on accessories. GMC Sierra owners spend the most with an average of $998 while Toyota Tundra owners spend the least with an average of $514. The majority, 78%, of 2001–2011 full-size pickup owners are between the ages of 35–64. Midsize pickups owners spend an average of $486 on accessories. Toyota Tacoma owners spend the most with an average of $806 while Honda Ridgeline owners spend the least with $279. Similar to the full-size owners, the majority, 70%, of the midsize pickup owners are between the ages of 35–64. Another indicator of an upward trend in this market can be found in the latest new truck sales gains being made across North America.
