How Can We Characterize Distribution? We are all familiar with distribution to some extent. Whenever we go to buy something off-theshelf and it isn’t immediately available then we are made aware of the existence, or in this case maybe the absence, of distribution. Of course it is best of all when distribution is invisible to the end user. Distribution systems are an integral part of many processes and present their own unique problems and attendant opportunities.
