SHORT ARGUMENT

In order to overcome the threats of the 20th Century urban mobility, Europe and America have been focused to move towards sustainable and democratic mobility transition. France strong commitment in this respect was recently confirmed through President Emmanuel Macron´s decision to make “mobility” the main theme chosen by France for its participation in the Dubai World Expo of 2020. In accordance to this objective, the Innovative Metropolitan Mobility” (IMM) Chair- a research and education platform on sustainable mobility in contemporary metropolises- aims at bringing together academic researchers and mobility experts from both private and public sectors.

This working seminar thus presents itself an opportunity to deepen and exchange knowledge on these topics by mirroring academic research and research-action experiences in different contemporary contexts.
