Publicano /pub.bli ’ ca. no / Do you know what I was thinking about when I prepared black coffee for the guests? I am always curious to see what the guests at the tables are doing, what kind of mood they display when they are matched with a cup of black coffee with the right taste. The black coffee is not covered by any creamer, and nakedly presents the quality of the coffee made by the barista. It's like when I'm designing a book, I need to comprehensively observe the combination of text size, color, typography and etc. High-quality of coffee and books are presented in our eyes and mouths with a sense of hierarchy. They advance layer by layer, allowing us to enjoy the rich taste and vision.



Chapter I


Gotham's Phone - Typeface Introduction -

Design a set of typeface cards which is a guide to learn gotham". This set is ideal for anyone who interested to typography. What makes it even more fun is that uses different social media design cards to introduce fonts, this design element is also based on the origin of Gotham typeface.

WWF - Save World 2019 - Newsletter Design -

A designer hired to design the monthly newsletter for National Geographic which includes the highlights and happenings of the organization for the specific month. To research appropriately and analyze information to arrange according to sequence and hierarchy with effective typography settings.

Webpresso /web’ pres. so/ Web design is a development process used to create web pages. It needs to consider aesthetic factors such as layout, user interface and other visual elements to make the website more visually attractive and easy to use. The process of studying this knowledge is like tasting a cup of espresso. It is necessary to understand that the combination of each element will yield a result, which is just similar to the calibration process before barista sells coffee every morning. It takes countless trials and judgments before giving every customers a good coffee and network interface.

Go Green

HTML & CSS Website Brief

Create a professional HTML website, offering step-by-step visual and text-based instructions. The theme can be any DIY website. Everything has to be very own creation. It has to include a minimum of 5 HTML pages and unique page titles with FAVICON.

Concept

In the two years since I started researching vegetarian dishes, I found that many simple and nutritious dishes can be done in a short period of time. So I used go green as the theme, mainly to share simple recipes with modern people. The healthy titles also matches the favicon with leaves as the shape.

Landing Page Design

Brief By using dreamweaver and wordpress to do a landing page website, which includes the following : Homepage, About, Our Service and Contact Page. To provide a rich, educational and engaging customer journey that allows consumers to discover and shop their favourite brands and product.

Concept I’ve paired these similars earth tones with a clean visual layout that cater to different photos that contain enough imagination to tell compelling stories. In a simple and orderly arrangement, users can quickly enter the artistic conception and comfortable space that the magazine style advocates.

Common Man Rostery CMS Website

Brief Designers are tasked to develop a CMS Website with a given theme to showcase their choice of subject Artwork, Product, Event or an APP. They have to create working contact form and monetization enabled. In addition, they have to make sure that there are minumum 5 sub-categories and 25 items in each main category.

Concept Website keeps a clean and neat layout while adding a rich connection with people, moments, and close-up captures of the cafe’s coffees. The minimalistic website design of the cafe provides the most complete and up-to-date information on the price, news and menu. This design reflects the cafe corporate identity and helps to attracts new customers and partners.

Rebrando /re’ bran. do/ Affogato is an Italian dessert consisting of vanilla ice cream and a cup of espresso. As a result, many who do not accept coffee beverages will gradually find themselves loving this coffee dessert. Does this sound like a great rebranding for coffee? It is also important for a company or a brand to find a more suitable positioning or value through rebranding. Through designer’s discussion with the company on making improvements, the company's existing base can be further improved. Even old-brand companies can attract more new customer groups through rebranding, and take a firmer root for future development.



Chapter II I


Matcho Cafe

- Food and Beverage Cafe Matcho is a youthful and friendly cafe, however they need a new visual identity in order to obtain a completely new fresh look and feel. I’ve used some elements to create a minimalist logo. In addition, I also selected various pink and green color that enhances the formation of an easily discernible identity. The rooftop icon created is inspired by the hand-made matcha, expressing the handcrafted products of the brand.

The conceptual eye-catching colors that can be found on the packaging are to display a youthful feeling, and to create a new environment for consumers to enjoy.

- Tranditional Noodles Restaurant The brand requires a suitable rebranding to express their authenticity, skilled craftsmanship and traditional flavours. The noodle-like logo represents the craftsmanship, the origin and the tradition of the Lew's noodles production. Also, they have started by working in collaboration with delivery platform, so modern and easy-to-use pages are used in the website design so that people of all ages are able to easily access and navigate.

WG Home Solutions - Hardware Company -

I’ve combined hardware tools icon with contrasting but complementary shades of blue and orange to shape a minimalistic and solid impression that would symbolize a friendly and hardware image. The details are designed in the form of a guidebook, where each pages focuses on the precise detail and improvement of brand visual.

Adverccino /ad’ ve: cino/ Strong ads are written and designed to establish an emotional connection with the company's main target audience. Once the connection is established, the words of the advertisement will be able to persuade consumers to choose the product or service. When I think about how to make a high-quality advertisement, it must be simple yet memorable. The thick and foamy layer gives cappuccino a luxurious velvety texture, allowing consumers’ taste buds to remember its wonderful taste for a long time. A good cup of cappuccino is like a good advertisement, when it is done perfectly, it provides an unforgettable experience.

Brand Relevance Campaign

BRIEF The Covid-19 pandemic is not the first occurrence that has shaken the business world, sometimes forcing businesses to close. Brands need to stand out, not just by being different, but by being both personally relevant and emotionally important to people.

INSIGHT Before the pandemic strike, preparing home meals has never been a problem for most families. As working and studying from home has become the norm, many parents have to plan for their next day’s meal. Thus, this can be a hassle for many and can further add a level of stress for most working adults.

IDEA The pandemic has brought upon countless hassles for parents across Malaysia in meal prepping. Massimo is every parent's best helping hand in fixing the most important meal of the day – Breakfast. Not only that, Massimo is ensuring that cooking with bread is not only easy and quick, but can be fun and delicious too!

Facebook Carousel and Website In addition to a series of promotional videos, we also held a competition called '60-second cooking competition'. A carousel post is posted on Facebook to explain the steps to participate. The public can then find out the website to enrol themselves in this competition.

Project by Penguin Publishing House Penguin wants users to channel their unique spirit of invention and accessibility to heighten the reading experience for 18-30 years old. The challenge is to develop a product, service or experience that enhances the relationship with books for the target readers.

Brandcono /brand’ co: no/ Do you know that milk has a nice name in the cafe? It is called babycino. Baristas often introduce it as the child of cappuccino, because milk is the key to the quality of cappuccino! It used to be so inconspicuous that ‘milk’ was on the menu. Later, with this lovely name, it attracted many guests, like children who feel that they are drinking coffee like their parents. However, every brand in life has a different existent value for all individuals, because we all have our own personality, style and habits. This is the way that brands can truly connect with the public through emotions. It is necessary to understand the brand's own value and positioning so as to get support and build attractiveness from it.

I’ve designed the front cover page of this magazine issue for vogue from the perspective of photographers and designers. The theme is beauty, and you can decide on your own content and style of this project. It will mainly attract the attention of women of younger generation.

As the founder of Jartstudio, I’ve launched a series of postcards to promote the beauty of Singapore. By using various shooting angles to record people's lifestyles, the history of buildings, and contemporary tourist attractions. Using beautiful photos as a publicity method to attract local people as well as foreigners to come and explore.

Unite Together Turkey Poster Design

Poster competition is organised by the Bolu Abant Izzet Baysal University, Turkey. Each participant may submit posters on the theme “About Turkey”. This event focused on Turkish Culture, our thoughts and expressions about Turkey. Organization expecting minimal designs, pattern designs, illustration works, and typography artworks.


BOLU International Poster Design Competition receives 744 international entries from artists and designers all over the world. My submitting artworks that are eventually shortlisted at the BOLU International Poster Design Competition 2020 under the professional category. The selected works exhibited in Bolu, Turkey this November 2020. 46





Paclish / ’ rish.ka/ Coffee not only gives people a comfortable and elegant feeling, but also gives people a sense of dreamy romantic feeling. The romantic story of Irish coffee originated from an encounter between an airport bartender and a flight attendant. If you haven't heard of it, then be sure to check it out! The story of Irish coffee is like a layer of exquisite packaging. Because of this story, people often look for coffee that doesn't often appear on the menu. Every time I drink this cup of coffee, I think of this beautiful love story. How important do you say packaging is for each item? For me, it is an existence that affects the value of emotions and objects.



Chapter VI


Surprise Sanitizer Set Ecominim Christmas Bag

Brief

We encountered a severe pandamic on Christmas Day of 2020. During this period, Ecominim hopes to launch a series of clean packs related to the element of ‘Hope’. It includes two soaps, a mask and a can of disinfectant.

Concept

This time the cleaning gift package uses the Christmas candy bag as the concept, and the patterned scarf with Christmas elements as the packaging, hoping to bring consumers the happiness and hope before the pandemic.



Using silk scaft as packaging. The dove is used as a symbol of love, peace and hope. The color blue is used instead of green that is commonly used at Christmas. Blue represents the current epidemic, and its combination with doodles of various colors highlights the beautiful essence of the hat.

Masks are also included in the surprise sanitizer set, and the title on the mask ‘Peace of Earth’ is designed based on the theme of ‘hope’. The two doves at the side represents infinite hope and they form the shape of a house in the middle. This is to remind everyone to spend this wonderful Christmas at home happily and safely. 51

During my designer journey, I have gained an abundant of knowledge such as wisdom and inspiration that will definitely benefit a lot in future. Being a passionate person in life, I have always enjoyed engaging with different people from all walks of life, listening to their stories as well as sharing my own personal stories. I also believe that everyone has their own life story that can inspire people around them.
