ith the rise in beauty enhancing products, surgeries, diets, classes and so on, one is of the opinion that the true purpose of beauty has become more and more overlooked by the young and old at present regardless of sex, race, and environmental factors. But this is painfully more prevalent with females more than males. Beauty has always been said to be in the eye of the beholder(s) but nowadays, many have sought to ensnare or charm by using the above mentioned beauty secrets, such as Botox and diets to make themselves more alluring in some way, in keeping with the style of the world of today.

a perception of themselves. Given that we do not have the ability to exactly tell who we are from a young age; we tend to rely on the way that we are seen by our immediate family members when trying to discern who we really are. With this in mind, we can say that many of those who are unable to appreciate the inner beauty that is present in them and in others have been wrongly told that they are bereft of value and this has made them not only fail to value themselves, but also do not see any true value in others.

Also another reason why people may not see themselves as beautiful on the inside is because they may be conditioned by a negative societal and peer value system. Let me explain. In many parts of the world, physical perceptions of beauty are based on certain physical features. For example, most people would prefer their male or female counterpart to look bodily endowed and With the fall or in secular terms, evolution of man, as such physically, socially and even sexually attractive clothes have been used to protect, cover and beautify. and those who may not fall into this group of those who But with the advent of less is more campaigns with the possess these traits begin to feel that they do not figure prevalent or creationist designs of many designers belong and may try altering themselves or engaging in and the mirrored creations of high-street and budget things that may shift attention from these seemed brands and the resulting fad status of many objects of imperfections but as we all know, some of these actions clothing by young women, we are also made to see that tend to be detrimental to the well being of those involved many women now believe thanks to these trends and the as seen in the rapid rise of eating disorders among other promotion of nudity by all major entertainment things among young people. mediums- movies, music and dance that promote nudity that the less they hide behind a modest dress, the better Finally, we discover that the main reason why many as "nudity gets noticed". Irrespective of what kind of people do not see the beauty within them is because they recognition they get with their nudity. have simply refused to see the said beauty. This can be for a variety of reasons. Some may have been mocked However, I believe that there is a lot more to beauty than due to their looks at any time of their lives and so find it the physical attributes of a man or woman. We can see hard to think that there may more to them than a dead this because in all religions, we are made to understand life form. The Confessions of a Beauty Queen

A

beauty queen can have many secrets. Let hidden areas such as under my bed to see if I me share mine with you. had stuffed anything there, my drawers to see if I have actually folded my clothes rather than Like most woman I always try to look my best. just try to squeeze newly ironed clothes into it I try to keep up with the world and as well try and also my closet to see if I have hung my to fit style and beauty into my hectic lifestyle. clothes rather than toss them in there. You can We all want to look beautiful yet we do not compare it to sweeping the floor yet instead of want to have to do the “hard work associated packing up what you swept, you just sweep it with looking good. Well that is just what I do. under the rug to hide the dirt. Why do I do it? I take short cuts to achieving that groomed and To save time? Or just out of pure laziness? In neat look. my case it is just sheer laziness.

When it comes to hair, my long yet hard to tame hair, it is not a surprise that it is difficult to maintain. At times, I have been told in the past to just cut it and put it out of its misery when my friends get a glimpse of my untamed locks. But I am very reluctant to cut it. Although it is difficult to maintain my thick and sometimes frizzy hair I do try my best. When it is at its best I swear I could in a hair product ad. At it is worse, you would think that I got lost in the wilderness with no hair care products.

I can still remember when I was a 14 year old girl and my parents use to tell me to clean my room. I used to sort of clean it. To the untrained eye, my room looked spotless but I could not fool my my mother, although it took her a while to figure out what I was doing. It was not clean until she had inspected the

The trick with my hair is putting it in a bun or rocking a nice up do. When your hair is in a bun, others cannot see your split ends that needs trimming. So you create the illusion of great looking hair with a simple and easy bun. That should do until the next visit to the hair salon!

Let us apply this logic to my beauty regime. When my nail polish starts to chip and I cannot find nail polish remover or I have ran out, instead of going to buy more, all I do is look for another shade of nail polish that I can use to cover up the chipping one. I know that I am not the only woman in the world who does this.
