STELMACH I PARTNERZY SP.ZO.O NATIONAL RAILWAY MUSEUM Warsaw- Poland AccĂŠsit in international competition
The main aim of this project is to create the National Railway Museum of Poland. On the one hand the railway means more than a simple mode of transport, for many years, it has been the biggest way of culture and communication of Eastern Europe. The given plot has a series of handicaps to consider. First of all, the shape of the plot, subject to the existence of old railway tracks that must be maintained following the program. On the other hand, the plot sits on a wooded plain, in the peripheral neighbourhood of Odolany. Taking into account the conditions of the plot, as well as single access in the northern part, it is proposed a building of large diaphanous ships, connected to each other after studying the interior routes. 20

Said plot, has a gap of nearly 8 meters, condition that will cause these volumes to be staggered. The final result is a modular building in which are inserted a series of patios and skylights that will provide natural lighting and vegetation to the different classrooms and rooms of the project.
