In the logo, the letter “C” overlaps the letter “G” to maintain the order and remain cohesive with the town’s name—the first word, Cottage, beginning with “C” and the second word, Grove, beginning with “G”. This logo is intended to be simple and easily noticed. The purpose behind its simplicity arose from the desire to portray Cottage Grove as a friendly and welcoming town that is easy to identify with. The logo’s straightforward and clean look appeals to the mass audience that we are trying to reach as well as the local business owners who may be using the logo to enhance their existing market. Because of the logo’s well-rounded appeal, business owners can easily integrate the logo and simplify their advertising, creating a unified norm for Cottage Grove. Having the “C” and “G” connected represents the harmony between the friendly, familyoriented, and welcoming environment of the town.
