STANFORD INTERNATIONAL YOUTH PROGRAM American college life at Stanford University Campus Two week residential Summer Program is organized and run in August 2015 by Stanford Pre– Collegiate Studies at Stanford University for academically talented and motivated students (8th to 12th grade) to experience a life time opportunity to study in one of the top USA universities and discover their passion for learning and to foster personal development, collaboration and networking.

EXPERIENCE STANFORD UNIVERSITY LIFE The Stanford International Youth Program (SIYP) provides academically talented students fom 8th to 12th grade an opportunity to experience the academic and social aspects of American college life and culture at Stanford University. In SIYP mini-courses, labs, and workshops drawing on a range of subjects taught in the Stanford schools of Humanities and Sciences, Engineering, Medicine, and Business, students engage in college-level content and instructional style in a characteristic college classroom setting that fosters communication, innovation, and creativity. Weekend field trips, which may include visits to Silicon Valley, Berkeley, San Francisco, and Monterey, immerse students in the rich resources of the San Francisco Bay Area. They have also the opportunity to meet and bond with students from all over the world who share their intellectual interests. Students also learn about the US college admissions process, how to create a college portfolio, and about resources available to international students at US universities. They also have the opportunity to improve their English and their communication and collaboration skills so crucial for success at American universities.
