Joselyn is a multidisciplinary designer with a B a c h e l o r ’s D e g r e e i n I n t e r i o r D e s i g n f r o m S a v a n n a h College of Art and Design (SCAD). She has always been drawn to creativity and wishes to show it through her life and designs. Her design goal is to c r e a t e e x p e r i e n c e s t h a t c a n p o s i t i v e l y a f f e c t t h e u s e r. Her interior design focus is hospitality design with a strong interest in restaurants and hotels. She also has a great interest in retail and commercial design. While designing, she highly considers accessibility, sustainability, and well-being.

HOSPITALITY DESIGN: LUXURY BOUTIQUE HOTEL GOAL & OBJECTIVE To increase the user’s exposure to nature through creating a connection between indoor and natural outdoor environments CONCEPT STATEMENT Surpassing the surface, the true beauty of an entity comes from within. The M Maison magnifies micro elements at a macro level, exposing the harmonious connection between fashion and nature. Promoting this parallel, the design emphasizes the micro elements through geometric and organic shapes, natural color palette, and flow of spaces. LOCATION M Maison is located in Zhouzhuang, China. TARGET MARKET The primary user appreciates the quality, value, and aesthetic presentation of luxury, fashion design.

C O N C E P T A P P L I C AT I O N To u n d e r s t a n d t h e c o n n e c t i o n b e t w e e n f a s h i o n a n d n a t u r e , multiple materials such as silk, wood, and sand were studied from the full form to the micro image. After the objects were viewed under a microscope, each of the materials and objects took a new form. These unseen qualities are the unpredictable beauty found within fashion and nature.

HOSPITALITY DESIGN: RESTAURANT/CAFE
CONCEPT STATEMENT Around refers to the bringing together of people & food from all across the globe. All spaces are designed to create a lively, comfortable, & relaxing backdrop that supports the connection between conversation & cuisine. To support this connection, the space evokes simplicity & features curvilinear flow and forms.
LOCATION Around is located in Soho, Central, Hong Kong.
TARGET MARKET The people are 21-30 year olds who like to travel and eat great cuisine.

CONCEPT STATEMENT The Daily Drip is a relaxing interruption from one’s daily routine. It is a place to escape the workplace, exhale stress, and simply enjoy coffee. To create a stress free environment, the design of the cafe emphasizes simplicity through the geometric shapes, color palette, and flow through the space. LOCATION The cafe is located in Soho, NYC. TARGET MARKET The Drops and Droplettes are 18-25 year olds who are establishing their freelance careers.

COMMERCIAL DESIGN: CO-WORKING OFFICE
CONCEPT STATEMENT Link is a co-working space that connects creative people from different careers and age groups. The workplace focuses on the connectivity of people within a space. The connection is both with one another and with oneself. To create an inviting atmosphere, the design has ample communal space and interlocking space. As for the connection of oneself, there are moments of refreshment and inspiration through the multiple wellness areas. LOCATION Link is located in Savannah, GA. TARGET MARKET The target market are people from various creative careers.
