We also get a glimpse into her personal life, from her relationship with actor Joe Manganiello to her love for Pittsburgh and their shared passion for Steelers games. Caitlin , what initially drew you to pursue a career in modeling and entertainment?
Growing up, I loved to watch award shows in my room. I loved entertainment news shows and going to the movies. My parents were both in the business with my father a tenured Teamster and my mother a commercial actress. It was only a matter of time before I caught the bug too! My first audition was at UCLA to become a Bruin Bear Wear catalog girl and I was chosen from hundreds of applicants. It was off to the races from there.
How did your time at the University of California, Los Angeles, influence your path?
I learned a lot at UCLA and from my sorority sisters at Pi Beta Phi. I’d say that through my relationships in college, I was able to create a steady career in entertainment. One relationship or networking event led to another and another and I’m still benefiting from my connections from college in some way or another.
think makes for a successful TV host in today’s entertainment landscape?
The TV host landscape and job pool is always changing. TV hosting is a skill that you really are born with - it’s hard to teach the kind of charisma and genuine personality traits that most TV hosts have been gifted. Hosting has always been my main passion and standing on a great red carpet or hosting at an audience-filled live event is the best feeling in the world. My strength is with the teleprompter and hosting entertainment news.
“TV hosting is a skill that you really are born with”
How did participating in the Miss Malibu competition and your early modeling experiences shape your career?
I competed at Miss Pennsylvania and was Third Runner Up then competed at Miss California and was Miss Photogenic leaving that pageant with an opportunity to audition alongside thousands of other girls for a job as a Disney Princesswhich I landed that job at Disneyland . That’s when I knew I was serious about making it in entertainment.
You’ve been a host on major platforms like ArsenicTV, The Chive and Maxim. What do you
You’ve graced the pages of many publications like GQ, Men’s Health, Maxim, Sports Illustrated Digital, and FHM. Which feature or cover holds the most meaning for you and why?
My Maxim South Africa cover is one of my favorites and seeing it in person in East London South Africa was very special for me - I have since spent time in Cape Town and it is one of my top favorite cities in the world.
What motivated you to branch out into acting, and howdoes it compare to your experiences as a model?
Modeling always came easy for me because I grew up as a dancer. So moving, my body was very innate and intrinsic. Modeling for the camera without words, I was able to tell a story through my movements and emotions in my eyes. Translating that with lines and speaking roles was actually quite difficult for me. My comfort zone is still as a model and as a TV host. But acting is a great challenge for me and something that I fear. So I keep working away at it.
What has been your most challenging acting role so far, and what did you learn from it?
The most challenging thing for me as an actress is the auditioning process. Once I’m at a job,
“acting is a great challenge for me and something that I fear. So I keep working away at it.”
things come more naturally, and I’m able to reach a great flow state. But, the audition process and having a casting director pick me out of the bunch has been quite difficult! I love a good “straight to hire” referral job if I can get it.
As someone who navigates both the modeling and acting industries, how do you feel about the representation of women in these fields today?
I think that women have a lot more power in the industry after the “ ME TOO ” movement. Men in general are more respectful and more hesitant to do anything wrong to be quite frank about it. I also feel that women support each other more and with the influx of social media you can’t really hide anything anymore.
Who have been the most influential figures in your career, and what lessons have they taught you?
My grandmother, even though she has passed away, still teaches me things through her wisdom every day. I also love watching the careers of Olivia Culpo and Olivia Wilde . I have a few other women like Maria Menounos and Rocsi Diaz , whom I admire, and I love watching their careers unfold. I don’t so much learn lessons from other women in entertainment, but I always enjoy words of wisdom or words of advice. And if you’re looking for a great podcast or great advice, Maria Menounos hosts her show called Heal Squad .
As a model, actress, and host, how do you balance the demands of these roles while maintaining your personal brand?
I have never really been focused on maintaining a personal brand, but I follow my heart and I try to stay true to the things that I’m passionate about. Over the years, I have gotten a lot more
conservative with my social media posts, and that has allowed me for a better work life balance, and I feel more respected among my peers and colleagues. I was also inducted into the Producer’s Guild of America and I’ve been working a lot more behind the camera which I really enjoy.
What’s the most valuable lesson you’ve learned from your time in the entertainment and fashion industries?
I think the most valuable lesson that I would love to relay is to stay consistent, persistent, and say no to things that you should not be doing or you don’t feel cool or passionate to do.
In such a demanding field, what are your go-to practices for staying grounded and confident?
I think that maintaining your health is number one for any job, but especially in entertainment you need a strong mind, a healthy body, and a sound spirit. So for me, I do a lot of self-care and meditation just to stay sane in a crazy work environment like Hollywood . I don’t drink a lot and I take a lot of naps. This is the secret recipe.
Have you faced any challenges or stereotypes as a modelor actress, and how have you overcome them?
I have faced some stereotypes, but I don’t mind it. It means that I walk into a room and people expect less of me, so I’m always impressing people wherever I go.
What shared interests or hobbies do you and Joe Manganiello enjoy together that help strengthen your bond??
Joe and I grew up in Pittsburgh and coming from Pittsburgh as your hometown means that you grow up with a certain set of values and you’re able to relate to one another on a deeper level.
“I was also inducted into the Producer’s Guild of America and I’ve been working a lot more behind the camera which I really enjoy. ”
We enjoy traveling home together and staying at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort. And of course, we love going to Steelers games. It means more when we wave that Terrible Towel together because we are both from the area and grew up as Steelers fans!
You’ve been a staple on red carpets. What are your top tips for pulling off the perfect red carpet look?
I love to get ready for an event. I do lymphatic drainage facial massages and laser peels - these are so amazing for the skin and overall look. I also cannot live without getting my hair and makeup done by a professional and having a
spray tan. I was born with translucent pale skin and a glow is really all you need to look good on a red carpet.
What are your goals for the next chapter of your career, and are there any new ventures you’re exploring?
The next chapter for me is all about producing some feature films I have in pre-production. My work as a producer is very fulfilling. Hoping to share these projects very soon! For now, you can rent Glass Jaw, Val , and Electric Love , all streaming now.

From navigating the complexities of law school to leading Nevada REALTORS® through industry-defining changes, Tiffany ’s journey is one of perseverance, reinvention, and fearless leadership. Tiffany, your journey from humble beginnings to a distinguished 13year career as an attorney is truly inspiring. What pivotal moments or challenges shaped your path the most, and how did you overcome them?
Looking back on my journey, I can say with certainty that the moments that felt like the most significant setbacks were the ones that shaped me the most. I like to call these finding opportunities in the unexpected. One came when I was juggling being an entrepreneur, earning my law degree, and studying abroad in Italy . I was heading into finals when I got the call—I had been dropped from law school in California . At the time, it felt like my world had just crumbled.
But that moment forced me to pivot, and in doing so, I found a better path. I restarted my law school journey in San Diego , where I had the support of my brother, Jordan —one of my best friends and most prominent champions. When the time came to take the Nevada bar, he was right there with me, despite his demanding job at a big law firm in Reno . Every morning, before heading to work, he sent me test questions. Every night, he reviewed my answers. Thanks to his encouragement and determination, I passed the Nevada bar on my first attempt. Of course, that was a significant win, but what stays with me is the experience of going through it with him.
I am very grateful to have the opportunity to work alongside an incredible Executive Team lead by the current President of our organization Brandon Roberts . This last year with the executive team and board of directors, we were able to navigate uncharted waters during the NAR settlement and practice changes. We know this is just the beginning, and the true impact of leadership often takes time to reveal itself. What may seem like a defining moment today might ultimately be overshadowed by a ripple effect we don’t fully grasp until years later.
In addition to navigating the practice changes for our industry, two initiatives close to my heart—deeply rooted in my love for people and my admiration for the realtors who walk alongside them during some of life’s most pivotal moments stand out to me.
“if life ever shuts a door in your face, trust that it might just be pointing you toward something even better”
That unexpected detour in Italy was one of the best things that ever happened to me. It was the first of many times I’ve had to reinvent myself, and I’ve learned that roadblocks are just redirections—if you’re open to seeing them that way. Again and again, the challenges I’ve faced have led me to incredible opportunities, growth, and, ultimately, happiness.
So, if life ever shuts a door in your face, trust that it might just be pointing you toward something even better. It certainly did for me.
As the CEO of Nevada REALTORS®, what has been your most significant accomplishment, and how has it impacted the real estate industry in Nevada?
The first culminated a vision we set in motion three years ago: the Nevada REALTORS® Leadership Alumni Legacy House Build . This year, we traveled with a group of realtor alumni to an impoverished region of Mexico , where we took part in the construction of a home for a family living on dirt floors. What made this experience even more profound was the generosity of this year’s group, who voluntarily contributed thousands of dollars from their own pockets to provide a water tank, beds, household goods, and groceries for the family. It was a powerful reminder that leadership isn’t just about policy or strategy—it’s about people, compassion, and action.
Another initiative we were proud to champion was the Nevada REALTORS® Leadership Academy , a year-long program dedicated to cultivating future leaders in real estate and the communities we serve. Since stepping into the role of running the academy, we have introduced two key pillars to the program: leading from the heart—which not only inspires others but helps them discover within themselves a strength they may not have known existed—and an unwavering commitment to inspirational leadership, ensuring that as you lead, you reach out your
hand to encourage others to do the same. I have now transitioned that program to my incredible communications director Amanda Powell who will carry this legacy along with the phenomenal trustees moving forward.
These initiatives reflect what I believe to be the core of impactful leadership—building, uplifting, and creating lasting change. While the full scope of our impact will continue to unfold over time, I know one thing for sure: when you lead with heart, the results speak for themselves.
Your career seamlessly blends legal expertise and business acumen. How do you navigate the complexities of wearing multiple hats as an attorney, CEO, and Limited Partner in an investment fund?
Wearing multiple hats—attorney, CEO, and Limited Partner in an investment fund—can be demanding, but I sincerely enjoy it because it all feels interconnected. I’ve always believed that the law isn’t just about rules and regulations but how those rules shape more intelligent business decisions, better financial practices, and more substantial compliance. My career has naturally evolved in a way that lets me move between these different roles without too much friction. I’ve found that the lessons I’ve learned in one area often enrich my approach in another, sometimes in surprising ways.
The challenges may be significant, but they push me to grow and help me create better outcomes for the people and organizations I work with.
But it's always about people at the heart of everything I do. I’m most fulfilled when helping others—guiding someone through a challenge, leading a team toward a common goal, or advising on decisions that will make a positive impact. There’s something powerful about helping others thrive, watching them gain confidence and energy, and knowing that ripple effect creates positive change in the world. That’s what drives me each day.
Everything I do comes down to a simple intention: to uplift, improve, and transform the lives and businesses I touch. That intention keeps me grounded and motivated as I wear each of these hats. And it reminds me every day why I love what I do.
What inspired you to transition from law to leadership in real estate, and how do you see your legal background influencing your leadership style?
I’ve always been drawn to the legal system, but I knew early on that I didn’t want a career confined to research and filing motions—I wanted to work with people, solving real problems in real time. After graduating from law school, I returned to Nevada and started clerking for a District Court Judge. At the time, I mentioned to a friend that I was looking for a role where I could make a meaningful impact. She immediately suggested Nevada REALTORS® . At the time, I knew little about real estate law, but I also knew that expertise comes with experience.
When I landed my first position there, I was answering calls on the association’s legal information line, and in the beginning, I had to research nearly every answer. But before long, I found myself confidently fielding questions without needing to look anything up. More than that—I realized I loved the dynamic, everevolving nature of real estate law. That role was the gateway to a career that blended my legal expertise with leadership, advocacy, and service.
My legal background has shaped my leadership style in profound ways. A great attorney learns to navigate complex frameworks, analyze challenges, and find creative solutions. A great leader does the same—understanding the landscape, envisioning a path forward, and guiding others toward success.
Leadership is both an art and a science; it requires honoring the past while building something even stronger for the future. My journey from law to real estate leadership wasn’t something I planned, but it turned out to be exactly where I was meant to be.
You’ve fiercely advocated private property rights and homeownership. What key policy changes or initiatives are you most proud to have championed?
Over the past year, I’ve had the privilege of engaging with industry experts and stakeholders to navigate market challenges, emerging trends, consumer transparency,
“when you lead with heart, the results speak for themselves”
and potential legislation. Through these conversations across the state, I was reminded of the power of returning to the basics when advocating—focusing on clarity, integrity, and the real needs of the people we serve.
More than anything, I’ve come to appreciate that this work is never about just one person. Advocacy, progress, and meaningful change are always a team effort. I’m grateful to stand alongside passionate, dedicated volunteer leaders, lobbyists and staff who share the same commitment to shaping a stronger future for our industry and the communities we serve.
During a panel discussion at the Inman Real Estate Conference in Las Vegas last fall, many of my comments were centered on how real estate professionals can best understand and serve consumers from all walks of life amid economic uncertainty and rapid cultural change.
We also spearheaded a statewide multimedia education campaign from the perspective of a consumer- and seeing the real estate market and work with their trusted advisor- their realtor. By sharing heartfelt stories, we are looking to connect with consumers and share their success stories of achieving the American dream of homeownership.
Your work in advocacy extends to social justice and mentorship. How do you balance these philanthropic efforts with your professional responsibilities?
Achieving impact is what drives me, my decisions, the circles I spend time in, and the work I do. Assessing potential and actual change makes it easy to know where I want to spend my limited time and energy outside of my role as chief executive of one of Nevada ’s largest professional associations.
Mentorship is a little different. While future impact is still at the heart of it, it’s not centered on immediate outcomes. Instead, it’s about inspiring others to identify and nurture their gifts so that they have a greater chance of succeeding in the future, creating a ripple effect. I do all I can to encourage and cultivate the unique gifts in those around to help them identify, nurture and share their gifts with the world.
As a founding adviser for organizations like The Most Influential Women of the Sierra Nevada, what initiatives have been closest to your heart, and why?
Empowering women and families has always been at the core of my mission, so it has been an incredible honor to serve as a founding adviser for The Most Influential Women of the Sierra Nevada and Mamas for a Cause . These initiatives and those closest to my heart elevate voices, create real opportunities, and provide tangible resources for those in need.
One of the most impactful projects I’ve been involved in is mentorship and leadership development for women stepping into influential roles and helping them identify their unique gifts to the world. Whether it’s connecting women with career opportunities or advocating for policies that directly support them, I’m committed to ensuring others have the chance to thrive—professionally and personally.
Your commitment to cancer awareness is deeply personal. What message do you hope to convey through your work with the Renown Foundation Board?
Losing my father to cancer was one of the most challenging experiences of my life, and watching my stepfather battle this disease reinforced just how devastating it can be—for the patient as well as family members. My work with the Renown is, therefore, deeply personal because I know firsthand the emotional, physical, and financial toll cancer takes. I want to help ensure that no one fights the battle alone. Every person deserves access to stateof-the-art treatment, compassionate care, and a support system that uplifts them. It’s not just about funding a breast cancer center; it’s about giving patients hope, dignity, and the best chance at survival—regardless of their financial situation.

I hope my advocacy reminds us that we must keep fighting for better treatments, earlier detection, and resources for families who need help and strength in their darkest moments. I will continue to speak out and work — in honor of my father, my stepfather, and everyone who this disease has ever touched.

Finally, I often tell the family members and friends of cancer patients one of the best things
“Empowering women and families has always been at the core of my mission”
they can do is sit and spend time with their loved ones. Ask questions, listen to stories, laugh and cry with them. Savor your time and ease the burden by forgetting about the fight, even for an hour or two.
Your work with the Nevada REALTORS® Leadership Academy has cultivated future leaders. What advice would you give young professionals aspiring to make a difference in their fields?
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned— and what I always tell young and upcoming leaders—is to be yourself unapologetically. Authenticity is your greatest asset. Don’t chase titles or money. Run after what sets your soul on fire. Only you can know what that is! Figure out what truly drives you, your passion, and what kind of impact you want to make. Live a life true to you and your desires—not the life someone else thinks you should live.
When you focus on what you love, the money, the opportunities, and the success will follow. And, if you are faced with a challenge that takes you off-course, embrace it—because it may become your greatest blessing later on. Too often, people get discouraged by setbacks or try to fit into a mold they think will lead to success. The real magic happens when you lean into who you are and what makes you different. The world needs leaders driven by something more than money—it needs people who are bold enough to follow their calling, committed enough to do the necessary work, and courageous and wise enough to take calculated risks to make a difference. When you show up authentically and purposefully, success has no choice but to find you.
What role has mentorship played in your journey, and how do you approach mentoring others?
Mentorship has been one of the most defining forces in my journey. I wouldn’t be where I am today without the people who saw something in me before I even saw it in myself—those who encouraged me to step into the light, push past doubt, and embrace opportunities I
might have otherwise hesitated to take. Their belief in me wasn’t just affirming; it was lifechanging. And I will never forget who they are. Because of them, I’ve made it my mission to pay that forward. To me, mentorship isn’t just about offering advice—it’s about truly seeing people, recognizing their potential, and helping them step into their own greatness. It’s about listening, guiding, and sometimes giving that gentle (or not-so-gentle) nudge when someone needs it most.
I believe leadership is not about standing above others; it’s about walking beside them and lifting them up. Whether it’s through oneon-one mentorship, leadership programs, or simply being a voice of encouragement, I want the people around me to know they are capable of more than they realize. I want them to feel supported, seen, and empowered—just as I was. Because when one of us rises, we all do.
That’s the kind of legacy I hope to leave behind. Not just a list of accomplishments, but a long list of people who can say, “She believed in me, and that made all the difference.” Idora Silver has been one of my greatest champions from the very start of my career. Early on, she encouraged me to think bigger and bolder, assuring me that whatever I set my mind to, I could achieve. Even now, she stands by my side, believing in me as I dream, envision, and pursue my most ambitious goals—helping me turn them into reality.
You’ve held fascinating roles early in your career, from NASCAR pit spokesperson to PGA Tour liaison. How have these diverse experiences shaped your perspective and approach to leadership?
No matter how unconventional, every role I've held has shaped the leader I am today. From the fast-paced chaos of a NASCAR pit to navigating the high-stakes world of the PGA Tour , I learned how to think on my feet, communicate effectively, and build relationships with people from all walks of life.
“Our products are not only stylish but also built for durability and comfort”
But beyond the skills, these experiences reflect something even more significant: I never wanted to live a boring life. I’ve always believed in saying yes to adventure, embracing the unexpected, and collecting as many incredible experiences as possible. Each opportunity, whether in sports, entertainment, or business, pushed me outside my comfort zone and helped me grow in ways I never expected.
These experiences also taught me that leadership isn’t about a title—it’s about adaptability, confidence, and the ability to connect with people- and people from all walks of life. Whether managing brand representation, speaking in front of massive crowds, or working behind the scenes, I had to own the room, trust my instincts, and bring my A-game—every single time.
What I carry forward into my leadership today is the understanding that success is built on relationships, authenticity, and the courage to step into new challenges. No experience is ever wasted. Every opportunity—no matter how unexpected—adds another layer to your skill set and helps shape the leader you’re meant to be. Life is meant to be lived boldly, and I intend to make the most of every moment. Your fashion sense is widely admired. How do you see fashion as a tool for empowerment and personal branding?
Fashion is more than fabric—it’s power, confidence, and the ultimate form of personal branding. As a CEO, attorney, and advocate, I understand the importance of commanding a room when you walk in. But for me, fashion isn’t just about looking polished—it’s about telling a story, making an impact, and embracing the art of individuality.
I’ve never subscribed to the idea that leadership must fit into a box. My style blends sophistication with a fearless edge— think a perfectly tailored blazer paired with statement high-tops or an elegant dress with an unexpected pop of personality. In the professional world, how you present yourself
LOCA -
TION: DE -
is often the first impression you make. But true style goes beyond clothing—it’s about confidence, presence, and how you carry yourself. The most successful people I know don’t just wear designer labels; they wear their authenticity.
Fashion is also a tool for empowerment. I encourage women to embrace their aesthetic without fear—whether that means classic elegance, bold statement pieces, or a mix of both. When you own your look, you own your space.
Great style is about having fun, making bold choices, and using fashion to elevate— not define—who you are. Whether in the boardroom, on stage, or advocating for change, my style is an extension of my strength, passion, and unapologetic authenticity. That’s the beauty of fashion—it’s yours to own and remember to have fun doing it!
Meeting President George H. W. Bush during your Secret Service externship must have been memorable. What life lessons or insights did that experience teach you?
Meeting President George H. W. Bush during my Secret Service externship left a lasting impact. He embodied humility, service, and an unwavering commitment to leadership. One key lesson from that experience was the power of composure—staying calm and focused is essential in the face of high-stakes decisions or daily challenges.

President Bush had a way of making those around him feel valued, no matter their role. That mindset has shaped my leadership at Nevada REALTORS® , where I strive to foster a culture of respect, professionalism, and service. While at a wellness retreat with his wife, he asked if he could join me outside on a bench and share a bag of red licorice. Not only did we talk about life, the joys, and the hardships, but we also laughed and shared a moment in a time of deep human connection.

relationships are at the heart of any successful endeavor—whether in government, business, or real estate. They also don’t happen overnight. As a leader, I always ask what I can do for you rather than what you can do for me when I meet you. Carrying that intention in every interaction has brought me the most success.
What are your key priorities as you continue to lead Nevada REALTORS® and advocate for change in your community?
As the CEO of Nevada REALTORS® , our priorities are deeply rooted in driving meaningful change and supporting the continued growth of our industry. First and foremost, I aim to enhance the support we provide our members, ensuring they have the tools, resources, and advocacy needed to thrive in an ever-evolving real estate landscape.
One of our key focuses is advancing policy and legislative efforts that address current and future challenges in our housing market, including accessibility and the idea that homeownership is possible for all. We will work closely with lawmakers and stakeholders to champion initiatives supporting responsible development, private property rights protection, and sustainable practices.
Lastly, I’m passionate about enhancing community engagement. Real estate professionals have a unique ability to impact their communities. I am committed to strengthening our partnerships with local organizations, advocating for neighborhoods, and ensuring homeownership remains within reach for as many Nevadans as possible.
These priorities will guide our work in the future, ensuring Nevada REALTORS® remains at the forefront of positive change in our industry and community.
What legacy do you hope to leave behind as a professional and mother to your two exceptional children?
As a professional, I hope my legacy reflects a
steadfast commitment to advocacy, leadership, and progress within the real estate industry. I want to be remembered as a champion for anyone I enjoy serving and someone who empowers our members. If I can help ignite a fire as part of my leadership development and help others step into the light to create a legacy of their own through the ripple effect of kindness, I will feel completely fulfilled.
As a mother, my greatest hope is that my children grow up knowing they can achieve anything through hard work, kindness, and compassion. This belief was instilled in me by two extraordinary women—my grandmother and my mother—who taught me that anything is possible with dedication and heart.
Family is everything. I wouldn’t be the person I am today without the unwavering love and guidance of my incredible parents, my mother’s unwavering love and commitment to learning all of the details of anything I am going through in life, and my world-class brothers, who are not just my family but my best friends in life. Through my journey, I want others to see that leadership is about impact—that success isn’t just measured by professional achievements, but by the lives we touch along the way. My incredible husband and I strive to instill this in our children, teaching them to empathize with others, love wholeheartedly, and embrace who they are without apology.
Despite his demanding career, my husband makes the time to coach their teams, attend their practices, and show up for them in every way that matters. Together, we lead by example, proving that you can pursue your passions, excel in your career, and be fully present for the people you love.
If I can give our children the confidence to chase their dreams and the resilience to navigate life’s challenges with grace, that will be my greatest legacy.

Romana Menegoni is a woman of remarkable depth and resilience, embodying the power of transformation and cultural fusion. Born during the tumultuous years of the Yugoslavian war, her journey from Bosnia to America is a testament to the human spirit's ability to rise above adversity. With Italian roots adding richness to her identity, Romana ’s life and career reflect a deep commitment to authenticity, compassion, and empowerment. From her early days navigating war-torn landscapes to establishing herself in the United States , her story is one of perseverance, gratitude, and a steadfast belief in the beauty of life’s smallest blessings.
Now a restorative yoga instructor, community advocate, and former Miss California USA contestant, Romana channels her experiences into empowering women and children through wellness, education, and positivity. Her unique career path, which began in dental hygiene and evolved into roles of advocacy and teaching, speaks to her courage in embracing change and following her heart. In this interview, Romana opens up about her heritage, the challenges that shaped her, and her vision for creating a more compassionate and empowered world.
PHOTOGRAPHER: VERONICA ESTRELLA @veronicaestrella.photo
Romana, your background is incredibly diverse, with roots in Bosnia and Italy. How has your heritage influenced your personal and professional life, especially in your journey to America?
My heritage has greatly influenced how I view the world and what I consider to be my core values. I believe it’s best to be your authentic self and stick to your principles. I also believe in being open hearted and respectful to humans from all walks of life. I consistently pray and give thanks to the positive people in my life. I don’t take things for granted and cherish every waking moment. I believe this life is a gift and going through a lot of pain makes you realize it’s important to cherish the little things.
Growing up during the Yugoslavian war must have been challenging. How did your experiences shape your resilience and approach to overcoming obstacles in your adult life?
I didn’t have a choice but to become a warrior. Obstacles became a set of challenges that I viewed as rights of passage to a higher self. Every obstacle allowed me to learn more about my own strengths and weaknesses. Having to dig deep within your soul and find what you’re really made of is not for the faint of heart. In my mind as long as I knew I was fighting for a greater cause for the men and women who didn’t have the same opportunities I was able to keep going day by day. There was always fuel to do better and keep going. This is still true as of today. You’ve had an interesting career path, from Dental Hygiene to competing in Miss California. Can you walk us through the pivotal moments that led you to transition from one field to another?
However, I didn’t feel as though I had enough of a voice in the system so Miss California gave me an opportunity to represent my country, my community in Northern California at the time, and my heart. The pivotal moment was when I realized that time waits for no one and that the only way to make a difference is to do something out of your comfort zone.
Yoga seems to be a big part of your life now. What inspired you to become a Hot Restorative Yoga instructor, and what do you hope your students take away from your classes?
I started taking Bikram Yoga classes at the age of 18 and continued to take a variety of classes throughout college. Yoga helped to alleviate anxiety and allowed me to keep calm between school deadlines. It has also kept my posture and my body strong. A lot of people don’t know this but the medical field is physically very demanding and during college we aren’t taught to take care of our body and mind. I am now on a mission to teach my students the value of meditation and healthy lifestyle habits. I hope my students can find healing and learn a few tips to keep their minds full of sunshine as they navigate challenges in life. Emotional regulation and resilience go hand in hand.
“I consistently pray and give thanks to the positive people in my life. ”
You’re passionate about empowering women and children. What specific initiatives or practices do you implement in your community work to create lasting change?
I finished RDH school in Orange County and was happy to have achieved this diploma to make my family proud and to have valuable skills to serve the medical and dental community.
The first part of empowering women is educating them at the dental practice. Oral health education for women and children is vital because a lot of the general public doesn’t receive the proper instructions at home or at school. Helping them to navigate their daily dental/ medical needs and learn to take care of themselves is important to me. I also direct a lot of women and children to support groups or to yoga studies so that they can find safety in community.
In your opinion, what is the role of selfcare and wellness in building confidence
and resilience, especially for women facing challenges?
To build self confidence one must continue to keep promises to oneself. To stick to healthy regimens takes a great deal of time and effort but it’s worth it. Self-care allows you to fill your own cup so that you have the energy to help others. It is very hard to maintain vital life force energy if you come from a place of lack. Building yourself up and learning to fight for yourself gives you a consistent anchor of energy within.
You’ve mentioned positivity as a tool for empowerment. Can you share an example of how you’ve seen positivity make a real impact in someone’s life, particularly among children or women?
We are slammed with negative messages in the media, whether it be in the news, at school, work, or in the midst of local politics. I notice that many people are under stress about things they can’t control so I try to lighten the mood as often as I can. A genuine smile or a positive compliment goes a long way. The world needs healing. Life is hard enough so I don’t mind being the person who believes in extending sunshine energy.
Compassion plays a major role in your work. How do you balance maintaining a compassionate voice with the need to set boundaries or take a stand when necessary?
I give out as much compassion as I can but when I’m feeling depleted spiritually I know when to listen to my intuition and pull my energy back to recharge. It’s been a lifelong challenge to know how to balance this. I have a huge place in my heart for those in need but I also need support. The more I am properly supported the more I can help others. Setting boundaries has come from trial and error as well as an inner knowing.
What was your experience like competing for Miss California, and how did that platform shape your views on beauty, confidence, and self-worth?
Miss California was a great experience because I was forced to workout regularly, study, network, and find a way to be unapologetically comfortable in my own skin. I found that being surrounded by other women who also battled their own insecurities made me realize that I’m
not alone and that once you get past the need to feel validated you find your true soul. Beauty comes in different forms and that’s what makes us all beautiful. To know each woman was born unique and has a gift to share with the world is absolutely magical to me. We can all learn something from one another. I also learned to not compare myself to the industry standards at the time because I knew I was happy to be “different” and the only Italian-Bosnian in my family to make history in that way.
In your teaching, do you incorporate any elements of your cultural background or experiences into your yoga classes or community efforts?
The way I incorporate culture in my yoga classes is by including music that reminds me of my first home (Europe) and by choreographing dance movements into the yoga flow movements that are similar to European ballet.
What advice would you give to someone who is looking to pivot their career or pursue a passion project but feels uncertain about making the leap?
My advice to someone looking to pursue a passion would be to follow your heart but take your brain with you. Knowing we only have one life to live is enough of a reason for me to put my heart into what I do. However, mastering skills comes without effort, time, and patience.
Looking ahead, what are your aspirations for the future—both in your personal life and in the work you do to empower others?
I aspire to live a happy and wholesome life. I feel that I didn’t have a true childhood because my formative years were spent escaping a war so I vow to make it up to my inner child by continuing to flow with life and to do things that make me happy daily. I will continue to teach yoga and I plan to be published in fashion magazines in the midst of it all. I truly think pictures tell a thousand words and I want to leave a beautiful legacy behind through expression whether it be movement or fashion. I don’t believe there are limits for creatives! We are here to make this world colorful and exciting.
Thank you so much for having me as a part of your QP legacy as well!

Kyoto, Japan ’s ancient capital, is a city where the past and present coexist in harmony. Known for its tranquil temples, stunning gardens, and rich cultural heritage, Kyoto offers travelers an immersive experience that can transport them to another era. As we step into 2025, Kyoto ’s allure only deepens, making it the perfect destination for those seeking a blend of history, beauty, and authenticity.
Kyoto is the heart of Japan ’s traditional culture, and its countless temples, shrines, and palaces are a testament to the nation’s reverence for its history. The city is home to 17 UNESCO World Heritage Sites , including the iconic Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavilion), a Zen Buddhist temple covered in gold leaf, and Fushimi Inari Taisha , with its famous torii gate pathway that leads to the top of Mount Inari .
The mesmerizing red torii gates that line the path to the summit are a must-see. This spiritual journey offers a unique blend of natural beauty and cultural significance. Whether you’re seeking a quiet place for contemplation or simply marveling at the gates’ infinite symmetry, Fushimi Inari provides an unforgettable experience.
Kyoto’s Arashiyama district is a natural masterpiece. The Arashiyama Bamboo Grove is one of Japan’s most photographed spots, where towering bamboo stalks create a breathtaking atmosphere. If you’re visiting in January, the chance of experiencing the grove dusted with snow adds an ethereal beauty that is unrivaled.
The Togetsukyo Bridge , which spans the Katsura River , offers a magnificent view of the surrounding mountains and is particularly picturesque during the colder months when the landscape is transformed into a winter wonderland.
Kyoto is also the birthplace of the Japanese tea ceremony, a practice that reflects the country’s devotion to grace and mindfulness. Participating in a traditional tea ceremony at one of the city’s historic tea houses is an opportunity to slow down and appreciate the rituals of Japanese culture. Many tea houses in the Gion District , famous for its historic wooden machiya houses and geisha culture, offer visitors a glimpse into Kyoto 's timeless elegance.
January is the perfect time to visit Kyoto , as the city transforms into a peaceful winter haven. The traditional temples and shrines take on a magical quality when covered in snow, offering a tranquil atmosphere for reflection. A visit to Kiyomizu-dera , with its panoramic view of the city, provides one of the most stunning scenes of Kyoto in winter.
The temple’s large wooden stage extends out over the hillside, offering a breathtaking view of the city and surrounding forests. In winter, the contrast between the traditional architecture and the crisp, snow-dusted landscape is simply captivating.
For those seeking inner peace, the zen gardens of Kyoto are unparalleled. Ryoan-ji, home to the famous rock garden, provides an atmosphere of meditative calm. The simple, minimalist design of the garden invites contemplation, offering travelers a peaceful escape from the modern world.
Kyoto is renowned for its refined cuisine, and visitors can enjoy everything from kaiseki (traditional multi-course meal) to matcha-flavored treats. A visit to the Nishiki Market is essential for food lovers, where you can sample local delicacies like yudofu (tofu hotpot) and pickled vegetables.
Kyoto in February is a destination that appeals to the senses in more ways than one. From its snow-covered temples to the warmth of traditional tea houses, the city invites you to slow down and experience Japan’s cultural heritage in a serene setting. Whether you’re admiring the elegance of the Golden Pavilion or taking a stroll through the snowy Arashiyama Bamboo Grove , Kyoto is a city that will stay with you long after you’ve left.

Rooted in the vibrant traditions of Mexico and elevated on the global stage, GEORGINA JEWELRY is more than just a collection—it's a celebration of artistry, heritage, and feminine strength. Founded by a visionary designer whose love for color, culture, and craftsmanship shines through every piece, the brand has become synonymous with empowering women to embrace their individuality and confidence. From delicate office wear to bold gala statements, GEORGINA JEWELRY bridges the past and present, offering timeless pieces that resonate across generations.
In this exclusive interview, we dive into the heart of GEORGINA JEWELRY , exploring the profound influence of Mexican culture on its designs, the empowering philosophy behind its tagline, and the challenges and triumphs of building an independent jewelry brand. Discover how the unbreakable connection between love, art, and tradition manifests in each piece and why GEORGINA JEWELRY has become a symbol of strength, elegance, and storytelling on runways from Paris to New York .
How has your upbringing in Mexico influenced the design and philosophy behind Georgina Jewelry?
Growing up in Mexico , I was surrounded by vibrant colors, intricate craftsmanship, and deep cultural traditions. These elements are embedded in my soul and naturally flow into my designs. My pieces often reflect the beauty of my heritage, blending bold statements with subtle details, much like the rich layers of Mexican art and culture. My upbringing taught me the importance of honoring where I come from while looking toward the future, and this duality shapes both the philosophy and aesthetic of Georgina Jewelry
Can you elaborate on the meaning behind your tagline, "The jewelry that empowers each woman to shine"?
This tagline speaks to my belief that jewelry should do more than accessorize; it should amplify a woman’s confidence, individuality, and strength. Each piece is created to enhance a woman's natural beauty and serve as a reminder of her unique power and light. My goal is for every woman wearing Georgina Jewelry to feel unstoppable—whether she’s at a board meeting or walking a red carpet.
Empowering women is a central theme in your work. How do you hope women feel when wearing your pieces?
I hope women feel confident, beautiful, and unapologetically themselves. My designs are meant to reflect the inner strength and grace that every woman carries. When a woman wears Georgina Jewelry , I want her to feel celebrated and empowered, as if the jewelry is a crown that amplifies her unique presence.
How do you strike a balance between incorporating traditional elements from your culture and keeping your designs modern and versatile?
“Jewelry should amplify a woman’s confidence, individuality, and strength. ”
I believe the key is in honoring tradition without replicating it. I draw from cultural symbols, patterns, and stories but reinterpret them with modern materials and techniques. This allows the pieces to feel fresh and versatile while maintaining their authenticity. It’s about creating a dialogue between the past and the present, making jewelry that resonates across generations.
What do you consider the hallmark or signature feature of Georgina Jewelry that sets it apart from other brands?
You mentioned that the connection between love, art, and tradition is unbreakable. How do these themes manifest in your designs?
Love, art, and tradition are at the heart of everything I create. Love drives my passion for design and my connection to the women who wear my jewelry. Art is my language, and each piece is crafted with the intent to be wearable art. Tradition is woven into the designs through the incorporation of cultural elements and timeless techniques. Together, these themes ensure that every piece tells a story and resonates with meaning.
The hallmark of Georgina Jewelry is its ability to make bold statements while remaining timeless and elegant. Each piece is a fusion of art and storytelling, designed to be more than just an accessory—it’s an experience. My commitment to authenticity, quality, and empowering women sets the brand apart in a crowded market.
Your collection ranges from office wear to galaworthy pieces. How do you approach designing for such a broad range of occasions?
I design with versatility in mind. I want a woman to feel that Georgina Jewelry can seamlessly transition with her throughout her day and life. Whether it’s a subtle statement for the office or a bold, breathtaking piece for a gala, my goal is to provide options that elevate every moment.
Georgina Jewelry has graced runways in Paris, New York, and Miami. How do these global platforms shape your brand and inspire your future collections?
These platforms are incredible opportunities to showcase my work on a global stage and connect with diverse audiences. Each experience pushes me to innovate and stay true to my vision while embracing new ideas. The energy and creativity of these events inspire me to think bigger and continually evolve the brand.
What challenges have you faced as an independent jewelry designer, and how have they shaped your journey?
As an independent designer, I’ve faced challenges like balancing creativity with business demands and competing in a saturated market. These experiences have taught me resilience and adaptability. They’ve also deepened my appreciation for the journey and the connections I’ve made along the way. You draw inspiration from the strength and determination of modern women. Is there a particular story or individual who has inspired a specific collection or piece?
Yes, my collections are often inspired by women who embody courage and grace. For instance, my Empower collection was inspired by women who overcome challenges with resilience and elegance. Each piece is a tribute to their inner strength and beauty.
How important is sustainability and the craftsmanship process in your brand’s ethos?
Sustainability and craftsmanship are fundamental to Georgina Jewelry . I prioritize quality materials and ethical practices to ensure that each piece is not only beautiful but responsibly made. Craftsmanship is the soul of the brand—every detail is carefully considered to create heirloom-quality designs.
Do you have a personal favorite piece or collection from Georgina Jewelry? If so, what makes it special to you?
My favorite collection is Racines , which represents a deep connection to my roots, culture, and family traditions. Every piece in this collection holds a meaningful story, symbolizing the values that shape me. My favorite piece is the Signature Ring —it was the first ring I ever designed and created. This ring embodies the foundation of my journey as a designer and holds a special place in my heart as a symbol of new beginnings and creative exploration.
How do you connect with the women who wear your designs? Are there any memorable stories shared by customers?
Connecting with my clients is one of the most rewarding parts of my work. I’ve had customers share how a piece of Georgina Jewelry gave them confidence on a special day or served as a meaningful gift. These stories remind me of the impact jewelry can have on someone’s life.
What does the future look like for Georgina Jewelry? Are there any exciting collaborations, innovations, or expansions we can look forward to?
The future is full of possibilities! I’m exploring new collections, potential collaborations, and expanding into global markets. My focus is on staying true to the brand’s ethos while continuing to surprise and delight my clients.
What advice would you give to aspiring jewelry designers who are inspired by your story and work?
Stay authentic to your vision and trust your journey. The path of a designer is filled with challenges, but each step is an opportunity to learn and grow. Believe in your work, stay committed to your values, and never stop dreaming big.
