In this issue, we dive into the world of AY Studios® , a brand that reimagines eyewear and accessories with a commitment to timeless fashion, quality, exploration, and sustainability. Founded in 2019, AY Studios is a tribute to James Ayschough , the innovative mind behind modern sunglasses. With his pioneering spirit as their cornerstone, the brand celebrates bold design and purposeful craftsmanship, creating pieces that inspire and empower.
We spoke with co-founders Daniel Uggerhøj and Torben Holt , along with their creative partners, to uncover the ethos behind AY Studios . From their signature slogan, “Follow the Sun”, to their meticulous focus on materials like plant-based acetates and recycled nylon, every aspect of their work is infused with a respect for nature and a passion for exploration.
AY Studios is a tribute to James Ayschough, the modern inventor of sunglasses. What about his pioneering spirit inspired you most when creating this brand?
James Ayschough 's pioneering spirit, particularly his curiosity and willingness to break boundaries, was a huge inspiration for us. He wasn’t just content with solving a practical issue like protecting eyes from the sun; he was focused on innovation and pushing the limits of what was possible. At AY Studios® , we embody that same spirit of exploration, designing eyewear and accessories that are not only functional but also daring and forward-thinking, meant to inspire those who seek their own paths.
Your slogan, "Follow the Sun," is intriguing. How does this reflect the vision and philosophy behind AY Studios?
"Follow the Sun" captures the essence of our brand—encouraging people to explore new horizons, pursue their individual journeys, and embrace discovery. It's a metaphor for chasing the good life, which aligns with our focus on exploration and taking the road less travelled. Our products are designed to accompany you on those journeys, providing protection from the elements and reflecting a spirit of adventure and curiosity that defines AY Studios® .
AY Studios is built on four pillars: timeless fashion, quality, exploration, and responsibility. Could you elaborate on how each of these shapes your design process?
• Timeless Fashion : We prioritize designs that endure, avoiding short-lived trends. Each product is thoughtfully crafted to be as relevant decades from now as it is today.
adventure.
• Responsibility : Sustainability is woven into everything we do, from sourcing ecofriendly materials to working with responsible production partners. We strive to create products that not only look good but also do good for the environment.
The fashion industry often leans towards short-lived trends, but AY Studios emphasizes "timeless" over "trend." How do you balance maintaining relevance while avoiding fleeting fashions?
We focus on creating designs that transcend time, rooted in classic forms but with modern touches that remain stylish. Instead of chasing seasonal trends, we emphasize versatility and durability, ensuring our products fit a wide range of styles and occasions. We stay relevant by continuously refining our designs and innovating in materials and production methods, allowing us to offer fresh perspectives without sacrificing the longevity of our pieces.
“I combine the old with the new for a fresh modern take on vintage”
Quality is one of your core values. Could you walk us through your material sourcing and production processes that ensure your high standards?
• Quality: No detail is too small. From the best materials to precise craftsmanship, every element is curated to meet the highest standards, ensuring longevity and style.
• Exploration : Our designs are inspired by the journey. We take risks and break conventions, ensuring each piece reflects the spirit of discovery and is built for those seeking
We start by selecting only the finest materials, from Italian plant-based bioplastics for our sunglasses to responsibly sourced fabrics for our bags. For example, our eyewear is crafted from Mazzuchelli M49, a plant-based acetate made from cellulose protein derived from plants, seeds, and wood fibers, combined with a natural plasticizer. This eco-friendly material is 90% biodegradable, converting into natural gases within 115 days, with the remaining portion turning into water and biomass as per the UN-EN-ISO 14855-2: 2018 standard. While we don’t recommend leaving our sunglasses in nature, this speaks to our commitment to using sustainable materials. Additionally, the hinges in our eyewear are made from up to 60% recycled materials provided by OBE in Germany , a leader in high-quality eyewear components.
Our travel bag collection is made from 100% recycled pre-consumer polyamide (nylon), ensuring durability while minimizing
environmental impact. Our sleeves are crafted from recycled leather, and the cloth used in packaging is made from recycled bottles. Throughout production, we ensure every product undergoes rigorous inspection, ensuring it meets our high standards for durability, comfort, and aesthetic appeal. Beyond material quality, we always partner with experienced designers like BWD Studio , bringing their expertise to the table to push the boundaries of both design and sustainability.
Exploration and curiosity are integral to AY Studios. How do these principles translate into your product designs and the brand’s overall identity?
Exploration is reflected in every aspect of our brand, from the initial inspiration behind our designs to the functionality of our products. We create for the curious, those who are constantly on the move, seeking new experiences. Our products are not only stylish but also built for durability and comfort, enabling people to take them on their personal adventures. This ethos of discovery keeps us innovative and constantly evolving.
How does sustainability play a role in AY Studios' manufacturing and partnership processes? Could you share some specific steps you've taken to work towards becoming "net positive"?
Sustainability is at the core of everything we do at AY Studios® . We prioritize ecofriendly materials like Mazzuchelli M49 for our sunglasses, which is not only plant-based but also 90% biodegradable. Our hinges, crafted from up to 60% recycled materials, and our travel bags made from 100% recycled pre-consumer polyamide (nylon) reflect our dedication to reducing waste. Our sleeves and cleaning cloths, made from recycled leather and recycled bottles, respectively, further reinforce our commitment to sustainable practices.
We’re also committed to partnerships that align with our sustainability goals. We work closely with Climaider , a digital platform and environmental initiative that focuses on finding practical ways to reduce our climate impact in everyday life. Additionally, we follow strict certification processes such as ISCC certification and ensure that our production facilities undergo the BSCI audit to guarantee
socially responsible manufacturing practices. Our goal is to achieve a net-positive environmental impact. To this end, we continuously explore new materials, implement circular design practices, and engage in carbonoffset initiatives that help us reduce our overall carbon footprint. We’re on a constant journey to innovate and find ways to give back to the planet more than we take.
With Daniel Uggerhøj and Torben Holt at the helm, what unique perspectives do they bring to the brand that set AY Studios apart from other eyewear companies?
Daniel and Torben bring a unique blend of visionary creativity and deep respect for craftsmanship. Daniel , as the salesperson, excels at understanding the needs of our customers and translating that into innovative solutions that resonate with them. His focus on exploration and curiosity drives us to constantly push the boundaries, ensuring our designs are not just daring but also commercially viable.
Torben , as the visionary, is deeply committed to quality and precision. He ensures that every product is meticulously crafted, with a focus on long-lasting durability and thoughtful design. His ability to anticipate trends while staying true to our brand’s timeless ethos is a key driver behind our success.
Additionally, BWD Studios , our creative coowner, brings an added layer of design expertise to AY Studios®. With a master’s degree from Kolding Designskole , their design sensibilities and creative input provide us with a unique edge, ensuring that our products reflect a perfect blend of bold design, aesthetic appeal, and functionality. This collaboration gives AY Studios® a distinctive creative voice that sets us apart from other eyewear companies at our price level.
The journey of AY Studios began in New Zealand and Australia before establishing its headquarters in Denmark. How has this international start influenced your designs?
Starting in New Zealand and Australia gave us a unique perspective on the relationship between people and nature. These regions are known for their stunning landscapes and outdoor lifestyle, which inspired our focus on exploration and
“The Confessional Showroom has been the best thing that's happened to my brand and I have had several milestones”
creating products that are functional yet beautiful.
What role does Nordic culture play in your design philosophy and approach to creating eyewear?
Nordic culture values simplicity, functionality, and sustainability, all of which are integral to our design philosophy. We embrace minimalist aesthetics, creating eyewear that is sleek, elegant, and timeless, with an emphasis on quality over quantity. The Nordic respect for nature also fuels our commitment to sustainability, ensuring that we craft products with care for the environment and future generations.
Your eyewear is meant for those who take the "road less travelled." Who is the ideal AY Studios customer, and what type of lifestyle do they embody?
The ideal AY Studios® customer is a modern explorer—someone who values quality and style but is also curious, adventurous, and independent. They value functionality in their fashion choices and prefer products that reflect their commitment to responsible living. So, we aim for the leading target group between 25 and 40 years old, which is more settled and conscious and seeking the good life.
As a relatively young company founded in 2019, how has AY Studios evolved in its four years, especially with the growing demand for sustainable and responsible fashion?
Since our founding, we’ve refined our approach to sustainability, consistently looking for ways to improve our eco-friendly practices and partnerships. The growing demand for sustainable fashion has pushed us to innovate in our use of materials and production methods. But we need to be sharp in this because the end consumers are very price sensitive. We’ve also expanded our global reach, connecting with more like-minded individuals who value timeless design and environmental responsibility.
In addition to sustainability, we’ve expanded our global presence by partnering with premium retailers around the world. These include iconic venues such as Eden Roc Hotel , Four Seasons , MR Porter , Danish Architecture Center , Louisiana Design Museum , Kapok in Hong Kong , and Le Printemps in France , among others. These partnerships have allowed us to reach a broader audience that values our blend of timeless design, quality, and sustainability.
Collaboration seems to be part of your ethos. Are there any creative partnerships in the pipeline that you're excited to share?
While we can't reveal specific names just yet, we are excited about upcoming collaborations with companies that share our commitment to sustainability and design excellence.
What challenges did you face when creating a brand that prioritizes both timeless design and sustainability, and how did you overcome them?
One of the biggest challenges was finding materials and production processes that met our high-quality standards and our commitment to sustainability and, at the same time, landed on the correct retail price. Balancing aesthetics with eco-friendliness requires extensive research and development. We overcame these challenges by forging partnerships with manufacturers who specialize in sustainable materials and continuously refining our design processes to ensure that our products are as beautiful as they are responsible.
Looking ahead, what is the vision for AY Studios in the coming years? Are there any particular projects or new directions you’re excited about?
As we gaze into the future, our vision for AY Studios® centers on expanding our product lines while advancing sustainable fashion innovation. We are enhancing our sunglasses with thoughtful designs and superior quality for the upcoming year, incorporating 28% recycled content into our acetate to ensure both style and sustainability, accompanied by packaging that is more relevant and eco-friendly, reflecting our commitment to reducing waste.
We are also thrilled to introduce a new collection of travel bags. As part of our commitment to sustainability, for every bag sold, we will contribute to plastic cleanup efforts, actively combating environmental challenges.

Ellina Abovian ’s journey from Armenia to Los Angeles is a testament to the resilience, ambition, and dedication that define her career as a journalist. Raised in the multicultural hub of Glendale , California , Ellina draws upon her rich heritage and immigrant experience to bring a unique perspective to the stories she tells. From dreaming of representation in a field where few looked like her to now being a familiar face on KTLA 5 , she has not only realized her childhood aspirations but has also paved the way for others to follow. In a city as diverse as Los Angeles , her ability to connect with communities through shared experiences and a multilingual approach has become her defining strength.
TALENT: ELLINA ABOVIAN @ellina_abovian
PHOTOGRAPHER: MATTHEW SEIFNIA @matthew seifnia hair and makeup: TEAL DRUDA @tealmuah
Ellina, you were born in Armenia and raised in Glendale, California. How has your cultural heritage influenced your approach to journalism, especially in a diverse city like Los Angeles?
It’s made me appreciate representation so much more. When I was growing up, we didn’t have any Armenian women in the news. I always dreamed of working in television, but it felt like a total long shot for an immigrant girl in Glendale . I didn’t think it would be possible for me.
Starting your first newspaper at just nine years old is impressive! What sparked your early interest in storytelling, and how do you think that passion has evolved over the years?
I think I watched the movie “I love trouble”, with Julia Roberts and instantly became obsessed with the idea. I had a big imagination as a kid, and I was always running around putting on shows. But more than anything else, I loved the performance aspect of being a storyteller.
You’ve worked across various markets in California, from San Luis Obispo to Fresno and San Diego. How have these different experiences shaped your perspective as a reporter in Los Angeles?
It was an incredible experience. It was an opportunity for me to step out of my comfort zone and leave Los Angeles for the first time in my life. It was a time I got to really focus on myself professionally and build that foundation. It was a time when my patience, drive and will were tested constantly. I was living mostly alone, making no money and carrying around a 50-pound camera doing the job of reporter, photographer and editor. It was a trying time, but I was so driven, and I learned a lot about myself in the process.
Working as a “one-man-band” journalist required you to handle every aspect of a story. How did that experience challenge you, and what skills did you bring back to Los Angeles from that role?
Having the skill set of a photographer, editor and reporter opened a lot of doors for me very quickly, because I was willing to do all three jobs. When I applied for the job in Fresno , it was for a photographer, but I was able to convince the news director to let me do both. Many female reporters at the time weren’t willing to make the sacrifice, but I did, and it paid off.
Your parents made significant sacrifices to give you and your brother a better future. How does their story inspire your work, particularly when covering stories about immigrant communities?
My parents left Armenia after the collapse of the Soviet Union in the late 80s. We moved to the U.S. with no money, so my parents took whatever work they could find to take care of us despite having higher education. I watched them struggle for so many years, and I have such an appreciation for people who moved to this country with the same dream and mindset. And I think that’s where my work ethic comes from.
KTLA 5 is a well-known station with a rich history. What does it mean to you to be a part of this team, especially as someone who grew up watching the evening news in Los Angeles?
KTLA is a special place. I’ve been with the Station for 10 years and it never gets old meeting our viewers while out and about. It’s such a privilege and honor.
In your career, you’ve covered a wide range of stories—from natural disasters to animal cruelty cases. Which stories have had the most profound impact on you, and why?
I covered the Boderline Bar and Grill mass shooting in Thousand Oaks and that was especially difficult. I was one of the first reporters on the scene even before law-enforcement had the situation contained. We didn’t know where the shooter was, and I was meeting parents who didn’t know if their kids were alive or not.
Speaking four languages is a remarkable skill. How has your multilingualism enhanced your ability to connect with diverse communities in Los Angeles?
I speak Armenian , Russian and French , but unfortunately, I don’t always get to use all of them while out in the field. I wish I had taken Spanish truthfully!
Los Angeles is known for its fast-paced news cycle. How do you maintain balance and avoid burnout in such a demanding environment?
Traveling is my escape from work! I’m always looking at life through the lens of a storyteller. When I travel, it’s an opportunity to learn about a new place. I’m a total romantic, so when I travel it’s like living in a moment of fantasy. I love to people watch, walk and just get lost in a new city.
As a female journalist in a competitive industry, what challenges have you faced, and how have you navigated them?
I think the biggest challenge for me has been balancing between being a working mom and someone who is still very driven in her career. There were moments I had no choice but to slow down. No matter what, you make sacrifices, and I’ve certainly made many on both ends.
Social media has transformed the way news is consumed. How do you use platforms like Instagram and Twitter to engage with your audience and stay relevant in today’s digital age?
My social media are largely dedicated to my day-to-day life and not so much my news life. I think it allows viewers to see what we do when we’re not working and our personality off camera.
What advice would you give to young journalists, especially those from immigrant backgrounds, who aspire to follow in your footsteps?
It sounds cliché, but just be yourself. The news has evolved a lot in the last few years and there is more freedom now to showcase individuality.
Beyond the newsroom, you enjoy cooking, hiking, and spending time with loved ones. How do these hobbies contribute to your well-being and work-life balance?
I do love to hike and be in nature. It grounds me like nothing else. I have two sons and spending quality time with them is my greatest joy. I love to laugh, have a good time, and be around people who are inspiring and uplifting.
Lastly, what’s next for you, Ellina? Are there any particular goals or stories you’re passionate about pursuing in the coming years?
I hope to keep doing what I’m doing while also expanding on my platform. I’m currently launching my podcast called “Breaking through,” which centers around personal breakthroughs. I love to challenge myself, and this is one way I can do that. I’m really loving this new space, so we’ll see what the future brings.

November in Patagonia marks the beginning of the region's spring season, a time when the landscape is freshly painted with vibrant greens, snow-capped mountains, and shimmering lakes. As nature begins to awaken, Patagonia offers travelers a journey to the edge of the world, with landscapes that feel untouched and endless.
From Patagonia , spanning the southern parts of Argentina and Chile , is home to some of the planet’s most breathtaking vistas. From the jagged peaks of the Andes to the glacial waters of Lago Argentino , every vista seems crafted for a postcard. Adventure awaits at every turn—whether hiking the trails of Torres del Paine in Chile or navigating the Perito Moreno Glacier in Argentina . Patagonia ’s wild beauty is humbling, and its sheer scale evokes a sense of exploration that is both invigorating and deeply grounding.
Fashion in Patagonia reflects the landscape’s spirit: functional, rugged, yet effortlessly stylish. Many local brands prioritize sustainable materials, knowing the importance of preserving the environment they call home. The rise of eco-conscious travel wear, like jackets made from recycled materials and footwear crafted from natural fibers, highlights Patagonia ’s commitment to respecting nature’s beauty while embracing adventure.
Fashion for Patagonia is a delicate blend of function and style. The unpredictable spring weather calls for layers that offer flexibility, comfort, and a touch of adventure chic. Here’s a guide to dressing for style and survival in Patagonia ’s unique climate:
1. Base Layers and Thermals – Opt for moisturewicking, quick-drying materials to keep you comfortable during the region's brisk mornings and mild afternoons. A fitted thermal top and leggings provide a sleek base, ideal for layering.
2. Stylish Insulation – Patagonia ’s weather shifts quickly, and a down vest or jacket is essential. This season, go for earth tones—think moss greens and deep browns, which blend beautifully with Patagonia ’s natural landscapes while still standing out in a crowd.
3. Statement Outerwear – A high-quality, waterresistant jacket not only keeps you dry but serves
as a fashionable statement piece. Many travelers are opting for bold colors like forest green, navy, and burnt orange, which pop against the stark backdrop of glaciers and mountains.
4. Convertible Pants – The beauty of Patagonia lies in its ruggedness, and convertible pants allow you to shift from warm to cool with ease. Choose high-performance fabrics that can handle the elements and provide comfort over long hikes.
5. Eco-Friendly Accessories – Patagonia is a region that deeply values environmental conservation, so sustainable accessories are a must. Look for eco-friendly backpacks, woolen beanies, and scarves made from organic fibers. These items add warmth, versatility, and an effortless touch of style.
6. Trekking Boots with Style – A sturdy pair of trekking boots is essential for navigating Patagonia ’s uneven terrain. Choose boots that are not only durable but also bring a modern edge to your outfit. Consider neutral tones or classic blacks, which blend seamlessly with both the mountains and cityscapes.
Patagonia isn’t just about the landscapes; it’s a cultural experience. Visitors can meet gauchos, the local cowboys who ride across the open plains, and experience traditional Argentinian and Chilean cuisine, including asado (grilled meats) and mate (a local tea). The region’s local markets offer artisanal goods and crafts that reflect Patagonia’s unique style, blending indigenous and modern influences.
Patagonia inspires travelers to balance style with substance, celebrating the intersection of adventure and sustainability. When you embark on a journey here, you’re not just dressing for the experience; you’re participating in a lifestyle that harmonizes with nature. In Patagonia, your wardrobe becomes part of the landscape, reflecting the wild beauty and timeless elegance of one of the world’s last frontiers. connection with the island’s natural splendor.

In the world of high fashion, few brands embody a perfect balance of boldness and elegance quite like aŠady . Created by the visionary Dana , aŠady stands as a celebration of individuality, resilience, and unapologetic self-expression. Drawing deeply from her personal journey, Dana channels her own experiences of breaking free from societal norms into a brand that champions over-the-top designs and empowers wearers to embrace their unique identities. Through its daring silhouettes, intricate embroidery, and luxurious fabrics, aŠady speaks to the woman who is unafraid to stand out, blending the raw strength of fortitude with the grace and beauty of femininity. Dana ’s mission is clear: to craft pieces that are not just fashion statements, but tools for selfdiscovery and empowerment.
Dana, what inspired you to create aŠady, and how does your personal journey influence the brand?
The inspiration behind creating a Šady comes from my deep passion for self-expression through uniqueness and the desire to empower others to feel confident in their own style. Overcoming challenges and embracing individuality, deeply influences the brand’s ethos. I wanted to create a brand that celebrates being over the top and encourages people to break free from conventional norms, just as I did in my own life! aŠady is a reflection of my belief that fashion is a powerful tool for selfdiscovery and empowerment. aŠady is centered around fortitude, femininity, and fierceness. How do these values manifest in your designs?
For me, Fortitude represents strength and resilience, which I try to embody in bold silhouettes , structured tailoring, and durable fabrics that stand the test of time. Femininity is all about the softness and grace, I try my best to balance these strong elements with delicate details, fluid lines, and thoughtful accents that highlight the beauty of womanhood. Fierceness comes through in daring, unapologetic pieces, more is more —whether it’s vibrant colors, or statement accessories.
The brand emphasizes both strength and femininity. How do you balance these often contrasting elements in your collections?
Balancing strength and femininity is at the heart of aŠady philosophy. I believe these elements aren't opposing but rather complementary forces. In my collections, I focus on blending strong, structured shapes with softer, flowing fabrics to create harmony between power and grace. For example, I might pair sharp tailoring with delicate, feminine details like embroidery or fluid draping. My goal is to allow women to showcase their strength and softness within one design.
Intricate embroidery plays a key role in your designs. What draws you to this art form, and how do you integrate it into your pieces?
“My homeland has always been a source of inspiration for me”
Can you share more about the influence of ancient Mesopotamia on your work and how this cultural heritage connects to your modern aesthetic?
My homeland has always been a profound source of inspiration for me, the rich history, intricate artistry, and the vibrant colors. I try my best to incorporate some mesopotamian symbolism and motifs in my designs, such as the lotus Babylonian flowers or the gold embellishments.
Embroidery is such a captivating art form because it allows for an incredible level of detail and storytelling through texture and pattern. I love the way it transforms fabric into something unique and meaningful , a simple cut can be elevated instantly with the right embroidery placement.
aŠady is described as the "invincible shield of confidence." How do you envision your clothing empowering women in their day-to-day lives?
I envision the clothing as more than just fashion—it’s a source of strength and confidence for the women who wear it.Each aŠady piece is meant to enhance a woman's sense of self. I am a firm believer that when women feel good in what they're wearing, they carry themselves differently, face challenges with greater confidence, and navigate their dayto-day lives with a sense of invincibility.
How does your "Dress Promise" align with the mission and values of aŠady? Can you tell us more about the concept behind it?
The concept behind the "Dress Promise" is to tell our customer and dress lovers that we
live to ensure that every piece from aŠady is crafted with care, from high-quality materials to ethical production practices, guaranteeing both durability and timeless style.Season after season, we get better at understanding our customers need, the “Dress Promise” reinforces our unique designs goal to empowers women in a meaningful, lasting way. they will stand out ! might as well enjoy the limelight. more than we take.
Who is the aŠady woman, and how does she inspire your work?
I imagine the aŠady woman to be strong, unapologetically confident, and deeply connected to her sense of individuality. She’s someone who embraces both her inner and outer power, balancing strength with grace, and isn’t afraid to express her true self through her style. The use of bold cuts is prominent in your designs. What message do you hope to convey through these striking silhouettes?
I try to highlight the statement of confidence and power in my designs because I want the aŠady woman to convey a message of unapologetic selfexpression and fearlessness. Each cut is meant to challenge traditional notions of femininity. Again, strength and elegance can coexist in unexpected ways.Invite all women to take up space and embrace their individuality.
How do you approach blending timeless, historical influences with a contemporary twist to create designs that feel relevant today?
The goal always is to create pieces that feel both timeless and forward-thinking, allowing the wearer to connect with history while confidently expressing themselves in a contemporary context. This balance can be tricky sometimes as you might end up creating a design close to a custom versus a unique piece that not only stands the test of time but also resonates with
the present-day woman who appreciates both tradition and innovation.here is an easy fun way to practice this concept , pick your favorite motion picture in a specific era and modernize all the movie wardrobe designs!
Sustainability is a growing focus in fashion. How does aŠady address responsible fashion practices in your production process?
Sustainability is a core value that shapes every aspect of our production process. From using high-quality, sustainable fabrics to working with local artisans and manufacturers who uphold fair labor practices, we ensure that each piece is made with integrity. aŠady commitment to sustainability is about not only minimizing our environmental impact but also producing clothing that women can feel good about wearing—knowing it was made with care for both people, animals and the planet.
How does the duality of femininity— represented in goddesses of both love and war—influence your design process and overall brand narrative?
Love and war are a powerful force that are very present in Babylonian and Akadian history, these timeless ancient stories deeply influences my design process and the overall aesthetics of aŠady . Embracing both sides of femininity, the brand tells a story of women worries through time, the full spectrum of womanhood regardless of time and space can be both loving and fierce, tender and powerful, without compromising.
What role does comfort play in your designs, and how do you ensure each piece is as comfortable as it is visually stunning?
Comfort is a crucial element in my designs because I believe that feeling good in what you wear is just as important as looking good. ensuring that each piece is as comfortable as it
“The goal is always to create pieces that feel both timeless and forward-thinking”
is visually stunning is a must in my book, flowy cuts, tricky gathering to hide problem areas ,capes and chiffon overlays are some of my tricks where I want aŠady woman to be stunning and comfortable, lets not forget the best invention of all time in the textile industry, ELASTANE !
Can you take us through your creative process, from initial inspiration to the final garment?
My creative process is a journey that begins with a spark of inspiration, often drawn from art, history, or the beauty of everyday life. I immerse myself in research, exploring textures, patterns, and cultural narratives that resonate with the vision I want to bring to life. From there, I start sketching—capturing raw ideas and translating them into initial designs that merge my inspirations with the core values of aŠady: strength, femininity, and individuality.
Next comes the exploration of fabrics and materials, where I carefully select textures that embody both luxury and comfort. I love experimenting with the juxtaposition of soft and structured elements, playing with how different materials interact on the body. Once I’ve settled on the key fabrics, I refine the designs—making sure the silhouettes are bold, flattering, and timeless.
The final stage is bringing everything together in the atelier. Every detail, from
intricate embroidery to precision tailoring, is meticulously crafted to ensure the garment not only looks stunning but also feels empowering to wear. The final piece is a fusion of inspiration and craftsmanship—a reflection of both the story behind the design and the strength of the woman who will wear it
As a brand, aŠady aims to "elevate your style, one daring piece at a time." How do you ensure each collection continues to push boundaries and keep your audience engaged?
Pushing boundaries is in aŠady´s DNA. I try my best in the collection to stay fresh and daring, I approach design with an open mind, constantly exploring new ideas and challenging the conventional. Diverse sources are my best friend—whether it’s ancient art, modern architecture, or street culture—I try to reinterpret them in ways that feel innovative yet true to the brand’s essence. Each collection is a bold evolution, with pieces designed to surprise and inspire while staying grounded in the core values of strength, femininity, and individuality. Also, engaging with my audience is a key; I listen closely to their desires and needs, ensuring that aŠady continues to resonate with their evolving tastes while offering something new and exciting every season. It’s about creating a dialogue between the brand and the women who wear it.
