The lounge is a cosy and comfortable space, it has lots of collectables and antiques I have bought from Horncastle antiques shops. (OPPOSITE: The shelves are both decorative and functional. The bottom shelf holds the most recent magazines and books that are still to be read, which are next to the sofa so they are easily reached. The older magazines are kept higher up so they can still be reached if needed. THIS PAGE: left; The sofa provides the perfect spot for relaxing and reading magazines, with everything to hand and a floor lamp for the evenings. Right; on top of the antique chest sits an enamel bowl, a useful place for keys and wallets as it’s right next to the front door.

The bedroom’s white walls create a calm and relaxed atmosphere to sleep in. A picture ledge above the bed provides a space to display some of my artwork and my favourite magazine articles. (OPPOSITE: The bed has plenty of pillows and cushions to make a cosy and comfortable place to sleep. THIS PAGE, left; A framed french newspaper sits on a restored bureau, decorated with hand made paint. Right; A framed article from Elle Decoration about Kara Rosenlund, (one of my biggest inspirations) sits above the bed.)

blog My blog ‘Grey Linens’ provides me with a platform to share my interests and photographs. I enjoy visiting other peoples homes to see how styles and living situations differ, and gain inspiration for my own projects.

I enjoy both photographing and editing images for the blog, and working with different lighting and atmosphere to capture the moment in time. (OPPOSITE: The entrance porch to Doddington Hall in Lincolnshire. The muted wall colour provides the perfect backdrop for the exotic plants and miss match furniture. The porch provides the ideal place to sit and watch the rain fall in the courtyard. THIS PAGE: Photographs I took at a friends house. Left; A selection of art materials lay aside in the spare room. Right; The white side unit and plaster walls are decorated with an unusual collection of dried flowers, cases and artwork.)

A collection of eggs in an antique bowl with hessian sack, both from bunnies, Horncastle. Beautiful yet functional kitchen shelves displaying vintage kitchenware. A collection of home grown ornamental gourds and squashes. Mince pies in the making with a Rabbit and Cabbage print apron, Thornback and Peel. IKEA stockholm Scandinavian modern classic Over the past year and a half at IKEA, I have worked on a wide variety of projects gaining skills in multiple areas of visual merchandising and interior design. Designing and implementing launch areas has been my favourite project, and what I am most proud of.

Stockholm THIS PAGE; A collection of glasses with sprigs of artificial fern sit on top of the chest of draws in the bedroom. The fern reflect the pattern on the bedding and cushions in the STOCKHOLM range. It adds a natural, clean feel to the bedroom. OPPOSITE; (clockwise from top left) the side table in the lounge area is bright to life with the colourful framed fabrics above. The bed is layered with quality textiles, the natural tones compliment the bright yellow in the rug and bedside tables. The dining table is set for two at one end, with glassware and plates on display behind in the glass cabinet.

BRAKIG scandinavian modern The BRAKIG launch area was a really exciting project as it was so different to anything I had done before. The colours, prints and style was unique to the collection which meant I had to create a very specific look for the launch area. I enjoyed using different and inspirational display techniques to present the range in a way that would draw the customer in to touch and feel the products.

IKEA PS Scandinavian modern I designed this launch area to show off the style and individuality of the PS furniture. The angled walls and floor tape created sections for the products to sit in, with different coloured back drops complimenting each piece. Each item had an a5 description, with a quote from the designer and photographs of the product in a home setting.
