Freelance - Web design for NewBeginningsHypnotherapy
The New Beginnings site was lagging far behind competing hypnotherapy businesses in the East Midlands and needed a new look to help it stand out as an increasing number of individuals are seeking help and advice online. The new site is simple with quick access links at the top of each page. Further information on each life issue can be found by following the links on the Home page.
Full mobile optimisation for access across all devices.
A new clean layout makes navigation much simpler allowing the user to easily access the relevant information that they are looking for.

aUK - Marketing and Branding April 2016 - September 2016
aUK is a fast growing health and beauty company in Grantham. Whilst on placement I re-branded the existing website and promotional materials to be distributed to potential customers. My designs were translated onto business cards, posters and fitness manuals for the health club who have continued to use and develop my ideas following the end of my placement.

aUK - Marketing and Branding April 2016 - September 2016
aUK required a health and fitness manual for their gym members that would provide useful tips that they could include in their lives to reach new goals. This included weight loss techniques, ways to build muscle and detox methods. I designed the manual with playful illustrations of relatable characters to help guide the individual and provide a light hearted feel to an area that some people find daunting.

RedHealthAsia - Consultant October 2015 - April 2016
During my placement with RedHealthAsia I worked with the team to design and build their new business brand direction and website. This included all logos and imagery, business cards, presentation material and video guides on techniques used by the new business RedNeuro. The role also included project set up and management, client liaison, proposal writing, identifying third party suppliers and sourcing marketing materials.
Fully responsive website that adheres to the new business direction.

Design Brief As the population continues to age how could a health product help to reduce strain on public services and keep the user in good physical and mental health? Key Issues The UK population is set to rise from 65 million to 76 million by the year 2045, one quarter will be aged 64 or older. Muscle atrophy in the lower body can lead to trips, falls and serious injury further increasing the strain on public health services. Over an individuals life, harsh impacts can increase the likelihood of contracting osteoporosis, Ideation Sketching
Electric Muscle Stimulation (EMS) EMS involves sending electrical impulses to the muscle to mimic exercise in order to strengthen and build muscle, thereby preventing atrophy. EMS can be used while exercising or when the individual is at rest.
Model Making A form fitting model with elastic wire that follows large muscle groups in the lower body supports the user more consistently.
EMS Breakdown & Fabric Test Breaking down the existing EMS device showed that the internals could be housed in a much smaller form fitting device, suitable for long periods of use. Cotton Lycra was chosen for the product as it is breathable, flexible and lightweight.

Design Outcome VIVUS is a wearable health product that aims to tackle issues such as osteoporosis and obesity with a supportive elastic wire structure that runs along key muscle groups for better support in daily tasks and during exercise. VIVUS also features removable electrical muscle stimulation pods that can be used incrementally, with or without exercise, to prevent muscle atrophy in the lower body.
