LOUD LINER
Switch things up by drawing on a cat-eye with a bright eye pencil before layering on a dark brown shade, this time staying as close to the lash line as possible for added defi nition. You can also try out the look with a lip liner—if they stay on throughout drinks and dinner, they’re not going to budge in the pool. Keep the rest of your face bare with just a touch of illuminator and a nude lip.

WARM UP
When wearing a striking eyeliner hue, stick to fl esh tones for the rest of your makeup. Dior’s Rouge Dior in 169 Grège fl atters those with fair to medium skin tones while Tom Ford Beauty Lip Color in Seventh Sin suits those with darker skin tones. For cheeks, opt for a creamy texture for a dewy fi nish or dust a similar shade in a powder texture over for super long-lasting hold.

WEEKS TO GO
GO FUZZ-FREE Gone are the days when hair re-
moval meant using singular, highintensity jolts of heat and light to kill hair follicles at targeted areas. The latest IPL treatments are specially calibrated to gradually deliver sufficient waves of light and heat energy to the dermis to weaken hair follicles in order to retard hair growth.EstheClinic’s NPS (No Pain System) Technology, for example, does just that.“Most people require six to 10 sessions for permanent results with minimal maintenance touch-ups,” says Manon Allano, Managing Director of EstheClinic Singapore. And, since it usually takes about six weeks before finer hair regrowth occurs, you won’t have to worry about the prickly stubs you’d get if you opted to shave instead. You can also try Strip’s IPLAce, which helps the existing collagen tissue and stimulate further collagen synthesis on of semi-permanenthair reduction. FOCUS ON NEGLECTED AREAS Never ever forget out your delicate décolleté area. On a regular day, you just right be able to get away with it, but bathing suits are far less rgiving. Start early by working a bust firming serum into your daily routine to see visible results by vacation time. Sisley’s Phytobuste Intensive Bust Compound is formulated with botanical ingredients that soften, hydrate and firm skin. Specifically formulated for visible signs of ageing, Payot’s Perform Sculpt Roll-On delivers peptides via a firming massage action for tighter, smoother skin.To stave off further signs of ageing, don’t forget to apply liberal amounts of sunscreen on the area the next time you’re wearing a low-cut frock. We recommend FANCL Sunguard 50+ Protect UV. (From left) Perform Sculpt Roll-On, $109 for 40ml, Payot. Sunguard 50+ Protect UV, $50 for 60ml, FANCL. BEAT THE BLOAT Water retention can be a downer. When you’re ready to step out and have some fun in the sun, it could make you feel and look bloated. Get your body beach-ready by cutting down on alcohol intake and foods high in salt content, as these can cause your body to puff up and hold water. To alleviate swollen legs, sleep on your back and prop up your legs with a pillow. Alternatively, massage CANVAS Beauty Lymphatic Drainage Body Oil, working from the ankles up to the thighs. It’s fortified with pure essential oils to help rid your body of toxins and improve blood circulation. And who doesn’t love a nice, hot bath? Run one with Aromatherapy Associates De-stress Muscle Bath & Shower Oil—it kickstarts a sluggish body and mind, with its blend of rosemary, black pepper, ginger and lavender. Clarins’ V-Facial Intensive Wrap also gets rid of excess water retention around the cheeks, chin and jawlines for a visibly sharper, V-shaped contourin just 10 minutes.
BANISH ROUGH SKIN Weekly exfolia-
tions are key to getting rid of dead skin cells so your skin feels smoother, looks brighter, and absorb lotions and creams better. Aveda Beautifyin Radiance Polish not only exfoliates, but also invigorates with its spalike scent. Nourish skin with La Mer The Body Refiner— it has a creamy texture, and infuses skin with nutrients while its fermented sea mud aids detoxification. For a softer approach, Clé de Peau Beauté Body Exfoliator has small, uniform exfoliating beads that respect skin’s delicate barrier surface, and improve skin tone and radiance at the same time. LEAVE IT TO THE PROS The Fullerton Spa’s Detox & Revive, $180++ for 60 minutes, comprises a skin-refining olive scrub and stimulating foot reflex to improve toxin elimination for instant revitalisation. Or try Calla Spa’s Firm-Tone-Elasticize Solution Wrap $ 228 for 75 minutes, to improve skin elasticity and draw out impurities. BOOK A FACIAL Prep your skin rig a purifying facial.SWUKAesthetics Ch Facial, $267.50 for 90 minutes, com botanical peels, expert extractions a charcoal mask to mop up toxins impurities.TaraBliss Detoxification+,fr $380, uses LED microcurrent technolog and hot and cold massage therapy,to improv circulation and combat puffiness. NOURISH AND HYDRATE Banish dry and scaly skin by moisturising your body twice daily. If you’re averse to rich and sticky creams, try these lightweight lotions: Estelle &Thild’s Fresh Water Lily Body Lotion gently replenishes skin with moisture and Mt Sapola’s Geranium-Orange Body Lotion has soothing and anti-bacterial properties for a fresh, clean effect. TREAT WHILE YOU SLEEP If fine lines or a loss of elasticity are also on your list of concerns, opt for an intense body cream. When used just before bed time, these balms help support your body’s circadian rhythm of cellular repair for more efficient anti-ageing action. Packed with botanical extracts,Decléor’sAroma Svelt Firming Oil In Cream inhibits collagen breakdown and reduces the appearance of cellulite. Twirl and swirl- Ferragni captivates at Paris Fahion Week
School’s in! Take notes as Chiara Ferragni and Negin Mirsalehi- instagram’s honorary elite with millions of fans ready to ‘‘like’’ their every picture- share what makes their accounts tick
“Lighting is an absolute priority for a beautiful Instagram picture. With good lighting, you can’t go wrong! I use the tools within Instagram to balance the light and contrast, but otherwise don’t subject my pictures to too much post-production. After all, people love the app because of its‘instantaneity.’ It’s also importantto be natural and credible becausethat’s what people want.My followers lovemy travel shots. In these posts, I wear casual looks and natural-looking makeup. This natural attitude is always appreciated. Just be yourself, since Instagram gives us the opportunity to share our daily routines, our tastes and our personalities.”
MINUTES WITH
Negin Mirsalehi
Negin Mirsalehi launched her eponymous blog in 2012 as a visual diary of her fashion and beauty adventures. Over three million followers on Instagram later, it’s clear that Mirsalehi’s online popularity has changed her life forever. “her life forever. “My partner and I practically live out of our suitcases now,” she tells us, “but I wouldn’t change

What’s key to ensuring a good Instagram picture?
HARPER’S BAZAAR JUNE 2016
Good light and compos tion—those are the basis of any picture. Sometimes, the more personal the picture is, the better. Most of the time, I use natural light, but when I edit my pictures it’s often with Afterlight. You can choose diferent filters and create your own too.
What pictures get the most likes and responses on your account? I’ve noticed that everyday pictures of me do best. I think my followers get inspired the most by those because they can identify themselves in the pictures. Shots of me together with Maurits, my boyfriend, do very well too. My most-liked picture is actually one of the both of us together at Coachella. With more than 102,000 likes, it broke our previous record.
How do you stand out online?
I’d say that hard work pays of. I worked day and night when I started and I’m still working hard. I keep challenging myself. I think the key to setting yourself apart is to do your research really well. What’s your goal? At the same time, it’s important to stay true to yourself. It’s always good to listen to your followers, but never forget what you want to share.
What’s the future of social media?
That’s a hard one! Social media is changing so fast and it’s so dynamic. You can see now that vloggers (video bloggers) are gaining lots of popularity. Videos are getting more attention too—just look at Snapchat. The challenge is to always keep it personal.
Mirsalehi proves that florals make for great pictures
