BA (Hons) Illustration - Level 05 OUIL504 Illustration: Process & Production STUDIO BRIEF 2 PROJECT PROPOSAL: Production & Presentation of my Printed Pictures Name – Josh Atkinson I intend to produce …… 5 Digitally printed final outcomes. The prints will incorporate textures and printed elements as a result of my tests and experiments. The content will focus on (identify 3 specific themes, texts or concepts) 1. The theme of music will be clear to see in the prints, connecting my relationship with it as well as, of course, Douglas Adams’.
2. There will be an atmosphere/tone that will indicate the tone of my authors work e.g celestial, mysterious, ‘far out’, psychedelic.
3. A possible narrative/sequence of a guitar flying through space.
I will be aiming to communicate (identify 3 specific messages, ideas, moods etc.) 1. I will be representing through my work Douglas Adams’ love of music and showing his relationship with it as well as mine.
2. The mood/tone will be light hearted but a certain conceptual feel will hopefully add another edge to the prints as well, driving the concept of his passion for music.
3. Connecting the Sci-fi space theme of his works and merging it with his musical passion as a way of representing in a nutshell my author.
