Josh Atkinson My Presentation Me this year‌

Although I have found it very difficult I feel as far as the work is concerned I don’t need be too hard on myself‌

Work I’ve done previous to this year

In the early days of working with vectors

Learning that there is so much more to illustration than trying to achieve a realistic representation has been key to my development

The editorial brief was an early test to get me to recognize the conceptual thinking side of illustration

I have not found much time for personal work as the existing workload I have found difficult enough

I had to honour the one true god in some way!

And of course a little birthday present I did for my mum

Visual Narrative Brief – exploring reportage and investigative journalism

The influence of Olivier Kugler was highly important for my work, exploring the medium of reportage

Similar with the influence of George Butler as well

Reinforcing the importance of reference in my practice

Another creative outlet… Me and my guitar One day I hatched a plan, I decided to become a busker man. So I made way to the station and bought a ticket to a new destination. I chose a place id never been, going to see things id never seen. But when I got there it was so incredibly cold and I was immediately startled by a man, who was very old. It was typical weather for a winter season and my hands couldn't play for that very reason. To top it all off there was a sign that said I couldn't play, me and my guitar had had a wasted day. Id had enough! so from this place I departed and I ended up right back where I started.

His mind is simply blown…

Visual Language has been very important

Book cover brief

Persons of Note was a very important brief for me when considering my relationship with researching people in my work

Influence of Luke Dixon

Developing an interest in research Persons of note – Documentaries on Lemmy

So after bingeing on YouTube I have watched some really good documentaries which even have amazing titles. I have found the documentaries incredibly helpful and I feel like I am now much closer to Lemmy and understand so much more about him and inevitably I just love him even more now. I have gained much more of an understanding of Motorhead swell which of course is important if there is any research to be done about Lemmy as he was the man started the band and ultimately the start of heavy metal (which is something I don't have great interest for) today. So the documentaries I have watched so far are:

•  •  •  •  •

Lemmy: 49% Motherfucker, 51% Son of a bitch Motorhead Live fast die old Behind the music - Motorhead Motorhead the guts and the glory This next one isn't a documentary but through the words of his nearest and dearest I have still found a lot out:

Memorial service and celebration of Ian Fraser 'Lemmy' Kilmister (Full

Things I need to do more of! I need to cook more!!!

I need to stress and worry less and not end up doing this‌

I need to recognize the importance of COP and PPP more as it will inform my practice in a more effective way

Not seeing my best friend has been hard for me but I've somehow managed better than I ever thought I would

Outside of Uni, open mic and playing my geetar has been the most important thing for me as it has brought my confidence on in leaps and bounds

When I volunteered to play for the Ibis Hotel the other week

And remember‌
