But if it seemed to be a gesture of peace after a long cold war between Bieber and Swift concerning Selena Gomez, Bieber stomped out that theory shortly after. In August, Bieber Instagrammed a FaceTime conversation with Kanye West just after Yeezy's long-running feud with Tay exploded with a simple message, "what up Taylor." Pop stars never film themselves for public consumption without sending a message (take Swift nemesis Katy Perry rocking out to "Famous.") Could this be a response to completely unsubstantiated rumors that Gomez ditched BFF Swift in order to reconnect with Bieber? Is it actually a love letter to his dog, the fluffy Chow Todd Bieber who is threatening to eclipse the boy phenomenon's fame by being (sorry, Biebs) way, way cuter? Is he vying for his own Nils Sjberg collaboration? Is he merely trying to warn fellow Canadian Drake that Swift is a nightmare dressed like a daydream? Or maybe he's just singing it because it's a a catchy song that he has trouble, trouble, trouble keeping out of his head. We'll be lying on the cold, hard ground until we have answers.
