One day, 14-year-old Robbie McNulty was shooting hoops in the neighborhood basketball court all by himself. All of a sudden a man walked up to him and asked if he could join him for a game. “When I was playing basketball before he came, I saw someone walking toward me but you know, he wasn’t that tall, so I didn’t expect ,” McNulty said.He was at about half-court and then like I took another shot and then I turned around and then hes just like staring at me, walking towards me. That’s when McNulty realized it was Isaiah Thomas of the Boston Celtic’s. It was a simple act of kindness as sweet as when Travis Rudolph sat next to a lonely boy with autism for no reason other than to enjoy a slice of pizza. “Im just speechless. Im just dribbling for like five seconds with my mouth open. I couldnt believe it,” he said. Thomas then asked McNulty if the pro-basketball player could join him. It turns out Thomas’ son goes to school nearby and he was killing time. McNulty told his story on Good Morning America, but at the end of the interview he got a huge surprise. Thomas was back and personally invited him to be his guest at a game. No way. Are you serious? The teenager said in disbelief. It’s always special when big celebrities are still down to earth enough to shoot a few hoops with a regular kid who was playing by himself.
