Greenery has beneficial for the building to reducing the associated costs of cooling or production losses, improve indoor air quality, trapping volatile organic compounds (VOCs), shield neighbouring buildings against the pollution, Green roofs and green facades lower temperatures (Hop & Hiemstra, 2013) (Wood, et al, 2006) The beneficial greenery for human are boosting concentration, and aid recovery from stress, help boost creativity, and People can contain plants rate the air quality more highly. (Nieuwhuis, 2014; Hendricksen and Bervaes, 2003)

1. Full massing 11x38 m

2. Massing for maximized the wind circulation

3. Massing for maximized view to the north

4. Greenery and shading to decrease the level of sun heat

5. Massing and greenery follows existing climate

Plants in building purify the air: they reduce concentrations of CO2 and volatile organic compounds, keeping the air fresh and healthy. (Smith, 2011). External vegetation reduces heat in and around buildings in the summer, lowering heat stress and reducing the need for air-conditioning (Dravigne,et al, 2008). Green roofs and facades increase insulation capacity, reducing both heating and cooling expenditure (Gilchrist and Montarzino, 2015)

TINY SUNCUTS

House (maximise need of rooms)

TINY SUNCUTS HOUSE Little Research By the following requirement that concern with the existing condition as a main force for the design. The direction of motion of the sun based on the shading and direction of the building will be the main forces in designing.

this building focuses on capturing the morning sunshine and avoiding sunlight from the west and the north. Basically this design uses a forcebased framework (Plowright, 2014) "Sun cuts" is a method applied in one of the MVRDV works named Nieuw Bergen, for SDK Vastgoed clients, Netherlands (2019). “Sun cuts” can generate spatial diversity at all scales!. MVRDV uses sun cuts drawn from the footprint of neighbouring residential buildings. The roofs also enable a variety of unique spaces, with collective gardens and greenhouses crowning a number of buildings. These angles create a modern and optimistic atmosphere.

1. Take the building up 2 floor with 5m each level

2. Sun cuts from the east – morning sun

3. The building taking the daylight as much as it can

4. Sun cuts from the west and north rejected by the building

5. Exploration Form

6. Detailing with the precedent concept of MVRDV Method
