Introduction This collection takes inspiration from the notion of the power of secret societies, aims to deliver a warning message and illustrate helplessness of human when under the domination of the secret societies and their secret plan, the New World Order. In this collection, it has taken an unusual direction to investigate this controversial topic - from a children’s perspective to view manipulation in today’s society. On top of that, it has added elements from workwear into designs, which also symbolizes a manipulated class. Research and analysis is a particularly crucial section in this project. As the topic relates to today’s issues, news and documentaries are undedinably two of the most important sources of information. besides, site-visits and films are as interesting, which also contributed a considerable amount of information and knowledge. Most importantly, conspiracy theories are STARTED and spread through information technology, WHICH IS WHY most information is obtained through the Internet. This collection is presented as a Autumn/ Winter collection and is composed of comfortable, pastel colour fabrics and exaggerated silhouettes. Zing, named after the designer Joshua Chan’s original Chinese name, is an independent fashion label based in London, positioning at the independent designer market in Paris and Japan.
This jouney begins from the Stanley Kubrick’s masterpiece, A Clockwork Orange. The film has first attracted me with its visual effects and modern styling, however, after an in-depth research on the film I realised it has deeper message to convey concerning conspiracy theories. In that case, I started to look into more of Stanley Kubrick’s movies as well as movies related to conspiracy theories.

Today’s world is full of oppression and manipulation due to human’s selfishness and personal desires. Under the New World Order, the large majority of human are being used and oppressed by a small group of elite. Today, similiar situations are already found even though the New World Order has not reached its ideal shape. This was commonly found during World War II, especially in Communist or other countries ruled by absolute government power, however some of them still carry the policy up to this day.
World-famous photographer, Boris Mikhailov, featured some of his most impact works at the exhibition. His works focus on capturing the realistic perspective of life. Many of the photographs revealed a raw, sick, and poor side of the Soviet Union. Greatly inspired by his photography, this collection has integrated with the element of workwear, which reinforced the idea of manipulation in the society.

This collection although tells the dark story of secret societies, I have taken an unusual approach of standing at a children’s point of view to see the issue. In here, children represent naitivy and strengthless, which symbolize human’s helplessness under the New World Order movement.
As the collection takes inspiration from children’s wear, I have picked white and cream for all under garments to represent children’s pureness, and pastel colours for all outerwear, in order to achieve an innocent and playful impression. Furthermore, this colour palette is trying to convey that these secret powers have been applying sugar-coated poison through education and media in order to gain control over the society.

Existing labels such as Walter van Beirendonck, Bernhard Willhelm, Henrik Vibskov, and Peter Jensen are similar competitors in terms of style, however the unique selling point of each label is different. This collection is about its unusual interpretation of current affairs and its translation to the fashion mean. In terms of sales, this collection will be able to purchased through retailers from worldwide and on the Internet, for instance, Dover Street Market in Japan and London, I.T. in Greater China, Machine-A and LN-CC in London, while Oki-ni and Fake Tokyo will be selling through the Internet.

The first part of design development is jumpsuit. The concept comes from an integration of children’s wear, workwear, and Freemason’s apron. In terms of silhouette, they are made loose and oversized.
JS-01 A/W15 This dungaree is made of toweling and oversized silhouette. Shoulder straps are detachable. This style matches with a pair of gloves (GL-01).
JS-02 A/W15 This jumpsuit is made of toweling and features the signature feature on the waist. This jumpsuit matches with the diaper worn inside (DP-01).

The second part of design development is jacket (blouson and caban). These jackets are made in an exaggerated silhouette with wadding filled. These jackets are made according to basic bomber jacket block.
BS-01 A/W15 This blouson has taken a basic baseball jacket silhouette and added the signature feature on the shoulder-arm section. Made of neoprene, this jacket gives a bold and sweet impression. Shoulder section can reveal underneath layer garment.
CB-01 A/W15 This caban is an elongated style of BS-01. The signature feature is feature on the forearm. The waist section is detachable which can be functioned as belt.

The third part of design development is vest jackets. These vest jackets are inspired by babies’ bibs and worker’s uniform. During the development, it is also designed with a life jacket’s silhouette to suggest that human’s future is in danger.
During design development, I have adjusted neckline, silhouette, fastening, and wadded panels.
CV-01 A/W15 This vest jacket is a transplant of a children’s bib. The qualited shapes indicate special symbols from secret societies. The silhouette also suggests a skull face in the front.
CV-02 A/W15 This vest jacket has taken a more playful silhouette, colour and fabric. The strap around the neck functions as a cusion and can be detached. This style matches with gloves (GL-01) and arm warmers (AW-01).

The forth part of the design development is undergarments. The initial design inspiration is from the all white outfits from A Clockwork Orange. Later, with the inspiration from childrenswear, I have integrated the idea with a comfortable and soft texture concept. In this case, I have given up making structured garments such as shirts and formal jackets. Instead, I started researching into t-shirts and sweatshirts, which has given me the perfect texture and silhouette I wanted to suit for my intepretation.

INITIAL DESIGN IDEAS
SS-01 A/W15 This stye is a transplant of a common childrenwear feature. The feature on the neck allows the person to easier wear the garment. It was originally a feature to protect the weak baby head and fine skin.
SS-05 A/W15 This style is a vest version of SS-01. There is a slight difference on the buttons on the neck feature. This style is designed to be worn under a wider neck sweatshirt so that the neck feature can be shown.
SS-02 A/W15 This stye has used the standard sweatshirt block from this collection. This sweatshirt has used the wrong side of the fabric so that the softer and more comfortable side contacts to the body.
SS-06 A/W15 This style has a shorter body with reglan sleeves design. It is meant to be worn on top of SS-01 or SS-05 as it can show the underneath layer’s neck feature with its wider neckline.

This style is a mixture of right side and wrong side of fabric. This panelling design is also seen in other styles.
This style is a simplified version of SS-03 panelled sweatshirt. This style has also got a wider neckline so that underneath layer’s neck feature can be shown.
SS-04 A/W15 This style is a full transplant from a children’s garment. The piece covering shoulder can be taken off all the way down to the cuffs. Furthermore, there is a pair of gloves with strings attached can go through this sweatshirt.

The fifth part of the design development is shorts and trousers. Similiar to the undergarments, the designs mainly take inspiration from childrenswear. Additionally, one of the shorts take inspiration from baby’s diapers in order to fit into the theme and to add variety to the line-up.
Diaper design: Needs to fit body well and wear comfortably. Bottoned or use elastic. During design development, also considered diaper integrated with long trousers or other exaggerated silhouette forms.
DP-01 A/W15 This diaper is designed as a styling piece to be worn under exaggerated garments. Elastic is applied on waist and thigh to fit well to the body.

CS-01A A/W15 These shorts are made smaller and shorter, in order to create a children impression. There are pockets in the front and fake pockets at the back since the fit is too tight to have a functional pocket.
CS-01B A/W15 It has the same fit and style as CS-01. This style has used a more colourful fabric.
CS-01C A/W15 These shorts are made with two different fabrics, toweling and neoprene in the front and back respectively.
