With this ID, the climate neutrality of the printed product from the point of ordering to the offset with CO2 can be traced.

The global centre of competence plus cutting and sewing expertise is located there, including some of the most efficient production partners. This means some of our factories are far away from us, making it harder for us to monitor each step of the process. Achieving fair working conditions in these factories means we have to pick the best partners and work with them to help them reach our high standards for working conditions. All our suppliers have to sign and commit to our

We have been working with Fair Wear Foundation since 2013 to ensure the well-being of workers involved in the manufacturing of our textile products. FWF helps us monitor working conditions and audit our factories, it supports us in our relations with our suppliers, and it

PROUD TO BE A bluesign® PARTNER We also work with expert partners and third-party certifications, such as bluesign®. We have been bluesign® system partners since 2011 and today a large portion of the fabrics used in our products are certified. bluesign® seeks to eliminate hazardous substances starting at the first stage of the manufacturing process and guarantees a safe and clean supply chain for the environment and for everyone involved at every step. Additionally, we work with an external and independent chemical laboratory to conduct tests on our products every season to ensure they are meeting our strict internal standards.

For our most technical products to be used in extreme weather conditions, it is necessary to apply C6 DWR treatment to ensure full weather protection and warmth. We are continuously investing to further reduce the use of C6-chemicals in our fabrics and significantly increase the number of PFC-free products without compromising on user-safety performance. Please note that contamination from PFCs cannot be excluded.

Perfluorocarbons (PFCs) are a type of chemical used to make products resistant to water, grease and stains. PFCs guarantee best-in-class performance for our technical apparel that needs to be both water-repellent and still allow humidity to exit. The problem with PFCs is that they are linked to negative health effects in humans, animals and nature. Both during the production and use phases, PFCs are released into the environment and are persistent. This means they degrade very slowly in nature and can also travel easily though water and wind. They then end up in our food chain. For this reason, since 2014 we have completely eliminated long-chain PFCs (C8) from all our products. All our water-repellent (DWR) products now either contain shorter-chain PFCs (C6) or are 100% PFC-free. We’re continuously working to increase the number of PFC-free DWR treatments in our products.

100 % of the down used for our products is certified based on the Responsible Down Standard (RDS). RDS is currently the most comprehensive independent certification standard for animal welfare and traceability for down globally. It guarantees that ducks and geese are treated well for their lifetimes. The certification standard examines and scrutinizes every step of the supply chain all the way down to animal farms.

By using post-consumer recycled plastic to create our recycled fibers, we are also diverting plastic from ending up in landfills. Studies show that the production of recycled polyester saves more than 50% of CO2 emissions and energy compred to virgin polyester, reducing the overall environmental impact of the product. Most of the shirts made of polyester are also recyclable, meaning their fabric can be fed back into the production cycle.

The styles marked with “made with recycled content” contain at least 50% recycled content in their main fabrics. The recycled polyester used in our collection is mostly made from post-consumer PET bottles. Existing plastic is melted down and spun into new polyester fiber, also known as rPET. This means we reduce our dependence on petroleum and we use “waste” as the raw material.

Since 1999, DYNAFIT has maintained a partnership with Caritas. Caritas, a nonprofit organization, gives persons with disabilities the chance to find a place in the working world. It does this by creating an environment that is friendly for those with disabilities and thus is ideally suited to the needs of every single person. Caritas thus offers persons with disabilities the opportunity to experience independence, recognition and inclusion, all of which DYNAFIT would like to make possible for them.

INTERNATIONAL SNOW LEOPARD DAY

Unfortunately, the snow leopard is now in danger of extinction. Thus, DYNAFIT has set the goal of helping the snow leopard. In order for this to occur professionally and sustainability, we support the non-profit organization, Snow Leopard Trust, founded in 1981. Our most successful project in this regard is most certainly the “International Snow Leopard Day.”

The International Snow Leopard Day has turned into a fixed date on the calendar of the ski touring community in recent years. Together, participants accumulate vertical meters for protection of the snow leopard. Each vertical meter achieved and tallied is transformed by DYNAFIT into one cent donated. In Winter 2021, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the International Snow Leopard Day was not able to take place in usual format. Instead, more than 45 DYNAFIT athletes from 10 different countries headed out on a ski tour on March 16 in the name of the snow leopard to work hard collecting vertical meters. The result was more than 113,415 meters of vert covered, which turned into a total of EUR 11,341 (10 Cent / vertical meter), all of which was donated to the Snow Leopard Trust.
