For riders exploring summits, park lines, sidehits, and buffed-out groomers, we’ve loaded our 2024 collection with new models to meet their constantly evolving progression. As a design-centric company, this approach is simply fundamental to our DNA. With the Owen and the Revolt leading the charge, you’ll find new shapes, new technologies, and new features throughout the line.

UNMATCHED PERIPHERAL VISION

A wide field of view matters. Whether it’s Jerry coming in hot on the right or an untracked shoulder of powder on the left, expansive peripheral vision lets you dodge hazards and maximize good times.

In our testing and analysis, the Giro product design team found that the two biggest drivers of wide peripheral vision are lens shape and frame shape—not goggle size.

So to create EXV+ (and EXV), we created two features to deliver the widest field of view on the mountain:

1) Proprietary, semi-spherical lens with the precise curvature to optimize field of view.

2) Low-profile frame that keeps the sides of the lens close to your face.

Featured on our Revolt, Contour, and Contour RS models, our EXV+ technology unifies these features to let you see more of the mountain than ever before.

VIVID lets you ride with the feeling of a bluebird day, even when the skies turn milky. An age-old problem for skiers and snowboarders is flat light—when clouds or haze compromise your ability to see terrain with the naked eye. Then your confidence diminishes. Our goal in creating VIVID was to kill flat light and give you high-contrast vision so you can read terrain clearly and ride more freely, more powerfully, and more decisively.

THE SCIENCE OF VIVID

In partnership with ZEISS®, we created our patented VIVID technology to optimize vision in all snowaffected light environments. VIVID technology does this by blocking out the spectrum of light that creates flat light conditions. More importantly, VIVID allows in the spectrum of light that improves contrast in snow conditions—the blue light part of the spectrum. This is the VIVID difference. The result is maximum contrast to see the details of your terrain, while also providing full UV protection.

THE SOUND OF MOUNTAINS

We had so much fun doing the collab with Fender ® last year that we came back for a second set in 2024. For decades, the mountains have been alive with the sound of music. From movies, to headphones to reels, the connection between music, skiing and snowboarding runs deep. Tapping into inspiration from new musical genres, Fender materials and Fender aesthetics, our designers have crafted a new collection that plugs in and plays loud.

IN CELEBRATION OF SHRED

Founded by Pat Bridges, the most prominent snowboard editor-chronicler-journalist-storyteller in the history of snowboarding, Slush The Magazine is rooted neck-deep in a love of standing sideways on snow. While storied ski and snowboard media titles have sadly closed shop in the last few years, Pat and his crew have moved forcefully forward and thrived by continuing to tell the tales that need to be told and creating the experiences that need to be shared.

So in celebration of independent, insightful and incendiary snowboard media, we’ve teamed up with Pat and Slush to create a collab graphic in our new Revolt goggle. And true to the DIY ethics of snowboarding and a start-up media house, this model comes with removable strap patches to let riders add a little customization. Keep reading between the lines. But ride outside of them.

GIRO X SAVE A BRAIN

WE BELIEVE EVERYONE ON THE MOUNTAIN SHOULD WEAR A HELMET.

Sharp rocks, other hard objects and fast-moving people are everywhere on the mountain; unfortunately routine falls can end much more tragically for those who don’t wear helmets. At the same time, we in the mountain culture need to become more aware and proactive towards the impact that concussions and head injuries have on the overall wellness of ourselves, our families and our friends.

When we learned about Save A Brain, a non-profit out of Salt Lake City founded by Kelsey Boyer, we knew we wanted to be involved and support their mission of helmet advocacy and the promotion of brain-positive wellness.

Since Kelsey is a survivor of a major TBI herself, and because she was already a big fan of the Ledge, it was a no-brainer to team up with them to create a Save A Brain collab on her favorite helmet, where a portion of all sales will go towards supporting Save A Brain.

HELMET TECH INDEX

SPHERICAL TECHNOLOGY™

Spherical Technology, powered by Mips®, is a refinement and evolution of the Multi-Directional Impact Protection System (Mips). With this sophisticated design, two layers of foam fit together like a ball-and-socket. This system helps protect the brain from rotational energy by allowing up to 10- to 15-millimeters of relative motion between the helmet and head during the first milliseconds of an impact.

MIPS EQUIPPED

Mips® can provide more protection in certain impacts. The main components of a Mips-equipped helmet are the interior foam liner, the low friction liner, and an elastomeric attachment system. In an angled impact, the elastomeric attachment system stretches to allow the foam liner to rotate independently around your head.

CONFORM FIT TECHNOLOGY

The fully integrated Conform Fit System utilizes a two-piece shell that literally forms to the rider’s head shape by expanding and contracting with the turn of a dial. A truly adaptive design, it features a durable yet semi-flexible EPP construction that provides the lowest-profile fit we’ve ever created and unsurpassed custom comfort.

HYBRID CONSTRUCTION

Hybrid Construction merges a durable ventilated Hard Shell upper with an In-Mold construction lower shell plus sidewalls for added protection and style. With Hybrid Construction the helmet is beefed up for added durability while remaining lightweight. Hybrid Construction also features an impact absorbing and lightweight EPS foam liner.

D2 CONSTRUCTION

D2 Construction pairs two densities of Expanded Polypropylene (EPP) foam to manage both highand low-energy impacts. Additionally, EPP offers impressive resilience—this crushable foam regains its shape and retains some of its protective qualities after multiple impacts.

IN-MOLD CONSTRUCTION

In-Mold Construction fuses a tough polycarbonate outer shell with the helmet’s impact-absorbing foam liner. The fusion process allows for better ventilation systems, making In-Mold helmets lighter and cooler than traditional helmets.

HARD SHELL CONSTRUCTION

Hard Shell Construction produces great helmets at a great value. A rugged outer shell is molded and then attached to the EPS foam liner.

IN FORM 2 FIT SYSTEM

The In Form 2 System is lighter and lower profile than the original, making it even easier to dial in a custom fit in seconds—even with gloves on. The updated On-The-Fly Vertical Tuning feature accommodates different goggles and head shapes for a custom fit free of gaper gap.

PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE VENTING SYSTEM

The discrete exterior vent design and interior channeling (including the liner and padding) combine to create optimal airflow and temperature regulation. This auto-venting technology manages airflow and temperature-motion riding, hiking, or standing static.

THERMOSTAT CONTROL™

Thermostat Control Adjustable Venting control allows you to custom tune airflow instantly with a simple, low profile control button on the outside of the helmet. No other system is faster or easier to adjust, and nothing is more effective at keeping you comfortable.

STACK VENT

Our Stack Vent was developed based on research showing the majority of the warm air that can cause fogging exhausts from the center top vent of the goggle. Aligning the Stack Vent in the helmet with the vent of your goggles helps to keep them clear and fog free.

FIDLOCK® MAGNETIC BUCKLE CLOSURE

The pinch-free, one-handed Fidlock® Magnetic Snap helmet buckle combines the advantages of two fastening concepts in a completely new way. Strong magnets make it easy to open and close, while a secure snap functionality ensures a continuous locking force.

If you are equally comfortable dropping into big mountain lines, tight tree shots, and big features in the park; we’ve designed and shaped the Owen for you. Minimalist styling with nods to our Ledge helmet is married to premium innovations like our Spherical Technology (powered by Mips®) to create a helmet that is equally comfortable dropping into a big mountain lines or running trees-to-groomers-to-park laps with friends. With our riders looking for clean styling, we’ve developed our new Thermostat Stealth adjustable venting system that still lets you control air flow, but puts the control inside to keep the aesthetics intact. Armed with our In Form 2 Fit System, the Owen lets riders quickly adjust the sizing of the helmet, while also fine-tuning the vertical fit of the helmet. Details like a Fidlock® magnetic buckle and breathable Ionic+® Fleece finish off the Owen for a full day of comfort rolling through the mountains. VIVID is a patented lens technology—developed by Giro in partnership with ZEISS® Optics—that improves the visual experience on snow by enhancing contrast and definition. VIVID reduces eyestrain, improves reaction time, boosts confidence, and delivers precise vision without color over saturation.

VIVID Lens Technology effectively manipulates blue light by letting in contrast enhancing blue light, while blocking harmful UV light. VIVID essentially filters out the haze and frees your eyes to spot your line and focus on enjoying your riding experience.

TORIC VIVID LENSES WITH OPTICS BY ZEISS®

Toric in shape, this injection-molded lens mimics the form of the human eye to provide superior optics while creating increased air volume inside the goggle to help prevent fogging. Manufacturing, testing, and quality control of all Giro toric lenses is performed by ZEISS® Optics and are held to the highest standard.

CYLINDRICAL VIVID LENSES WITH OPTICS BY ZEISS®

Manufacturing, testing and quality control of all premium injection-molded cylindrical lenses performed by ZEISS® Optics, ensure optics of the highest standard. Additionally, these lenses are injection-molded, further refining optics and minimizing distortion that can occur in thermoformed cylindrical lenses. Our full range of performance-engineered lens tints and mirror coatings help to enhance vision and every lens is protected by a durable, scratch-resistant coating.

Giro set the standard when we introduced the first EXV (Expanded View) goggle. Now we’re excited to introduce the next breakthrough with EXV+, which features a proprietary, semi-spherical lens curvature that allows a wider field of view than ever before.

EXPANSION VIEW TECHNOLOGY

Developed and perfected at the DOME, our R&D center in Santa Cruz, California, Giro’s groundbreaking Expansion View Technology (EXV) is a new frame design that creates an unparalleled field of view. We started with a helmet-compatible goggle design and then eliminated and tapered material from the frame and engineered frameless zones to optimize a massive spherical lens and yield maximum peripheral vision in our goggles.

SNAPSHOT - MAGNETIC INTERCHANGE LENS SYSTEM

Our Snapshot Lens Interchange System utilizes self-locating rare earth magnets and a secure locking mechanism for fast, on-the-fly (or on the chairlift) virtually effortless lens interchange. Upon contact with the frame, the lens simply snaps into place and then locks down securely. When the clouds roll in simply depress the shutter button, release the lens and insert the lens of your choice.

QUICK CHANGE LENS SYSTEM

This elegant lens interchange system uses self-locating magnets to assist in lightning-fast lens replacement and keep the lens securely locked in place.

SLASH SEAL

The Slash Seal lens interchange system is an easy and intuitive interface for swapping out lenses on-the-go. Simply align the lens carrier, new lens, and press the frame and lens together along the perimeter seam to seal the deal.

EVAK VENT TECHNOLOGY

Found exclusively on all premium Giro goggles, EVAK Vent Technology uses a foam made from an ultra-durable, non-absorbent material. EVAK vents minimize the chance of fogging by releasing moisture while simultaneously creating a barrier from the elements.
