Freelance Design at Oxfam Australia, Refugee Realities 7 month Creative Intern/ Co-ordinator Set design and constructions, exhibition design. Website construction in flash and animations. Producing graphics and illustrations, delegating responsibilities to graphic artists and animating illustrations. Creation of a full scale refugee camp simulation within the city of Melbourne.
Curriculum Vitae Finalist in the Marimekko, ‘Why not Together’ Competition, Product Design Category. Presented at the Design 4 Heath Conference, at Sheffield Hallam University, UK. Received the Best Paper Award for ‘Designing Heath: Incorporating Social and Mental Health into contemporary medical practice.’

Knowledge of material selection and production processes, and an interest in emerging and sustainable materials and technologies. Ability to communicate concepts by sketch work and CAD thought-out the various stages of design, inclusive of theme boards, finished renderings, orthogonal drawings, videos and animations. Knowledge in branding and logo design and creation of various types of promotional material. Ability to animate in 2D and 3D, and produce and edit videos. Proficient hands-on knowledge of model making and construction, ability to produce various types of products and furniture in a range of methods. Practical knowledge of finishes, painting techniques and styling. This includes processes such and SLS prototyping, Lasercutting, and injection molding. Able to create molds and cast metal, ceramic, rubbers or plastic. Eight years of woodworking knowledge, as well as various knowledge of textiles, upholstery techniques, dyeing, embroidering and silk screen printing. Designing Health Thesis Focusing on the role of Social and Mental Health in the contemorary medical system and subjective recovery process. Participated in a Sleep themed workshop facilitated by Shin Azumi ( UK/Japan) Involved in a co creation workshop involving Impegno, Muzus and homeless men living in the Hague, Netherlands

Collaborated and co designed health products with a group of young Rhematoid Arthritis sufferers in Amsterdam Undertook a 3 month Refugee awareness project with the assistance of Amnesty International Netherlands, VluchtelingenWerk NL, United Against Racism, Australian Refugee Council, Oxfam and Vluchtelingen in de Knel Eindhoven. Participated in a 3 month project in partnership with the Solid House Foundation and the Design Academy Eindhoven, creating training kits and tools to use in southern Sudan. Attended SIDeR 2010 conference for Interaction Design, in Umeä Institue of Design, Sweden. Explored the Milan Fair ( despite the volcano), Venice Architecture Biennale, Utrecht Biennale for Social Design, INDEX Awards Exhibitions, Design 4 Health Show and Dutch Design Week.

Visited the RCA in London, Helen Hamlyn Centre, the Wellcome Trust Museum and Library. Attended a range of lectures and workshops including ones presented at the Design Academy. John Thackara, OMA, Marcus Fairs, Linda Hansen and Joanna Berzowska. Given a day tours of Theo Jansen’s and Achille Castiglioni’s worshops, OMA Headquarters in Rotterdam and Muzus in the Hague. Travelled and couchsurfed, the Netherlands, Italy, France, Sweden, Australia and the UK. Continues work on VeggiePatch including collaboration with UNICEF Supply Division Victorian Liaison for O2 Australia
