Case Study, Cairo-Amman Bank-Jordan: Improving an Organization by the use of Smart Phones and IPads which are Considered the Basics of the Supply Chain Management (SCM) Yousef Ahmed Hussein AL Safadi (Business Management, / Girne American University, Turkish Republic of North Cyprus (TRNC))
Abstract : In this study, analysis and comparison between the most important enterprise systems Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Supply Chain Management (SCM), and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) are studied in accordance with the organization innovation performance as a special case Cairo Amman Bank in Jordan for process and as well the CRM while using smart phones and iPads as product innovations. Moreover, this study employed a database obtained from two computers aided, mobile surveys conducted since 2010 by the Cairo Amman Bank in Jordan. Both studies are focused along the dispersal and use of the information and communication technology (ICT) in Cairo Amman Bank and its ramifications. Each database contained information about 4000 customers with more than five employees, these databases representatively choose from the most important services in the bank. These databases are taken for the sample which is furnished from the credit rating employees or agents. This agency who provides the biggest database on organizations available in Jordan. Moreover, collects basic information about customers as addresses, sectors, organization’s sizes in the market, and sizes in all enterprises that applied to the bank for credits. These excerpts from the populations of Jordan organizations were stratified according to two size categories, as Jordan and Palestine (East/West) and to several branches in both states. As many organizations as needed have been asked until all classes were met. The interviewee was, in general, the principal executive officer of the organizations who could also resolve to legislate on queries to a corresponding employee like, e. g., The head of the ICT department. Besides detailed information on the use of several other ICT applications, the dataset provides the employment level of the three main enterprise software applications ERP, SCM and CRM. Additionally, to ICT application usage, size, industry branch and geographical region, the surveys also contain information about the organization’s workforce, like the share of highly skilled workers and other variables, e. g. Organizational practices. Using a two-part model, the results reveal that SCM systems foster the organization’s likelihood of turning a potential process innovator. In addition, ERP systems increase the number of process innovations a firm earns. These results do not only emerge for the short-run of two years or less, but remain also stable in the medium-run of two to four years. Concerning product innovation performance, only CRM systems increase the organization’s likelihood to acquire product innovations, despite the impact emerges for the short-run and vanishes if the medium-run perspective is taken into account. In this study, a case study on Cairo Amman Bank and its investments to increase the relationship between the bank and its customers by the usage of smart phones and iPads, as much as installing the needed software in these introductions. Moreover, increasing the enterprise systems and their innovations. Ultimately, keying out the purpose of the enterprise systems and their resources in order to amend the relationship management in the Bank. II.
