OCTOBER 19 - 21, 2017 | 1
YOU BELIEVE.. AND WE DO TOO! This year as we enter our 16th year of Celebration Village, one thing is apparent. YOU believe! You have supported a ministry that has care for almost 5000 patients and families during some of the most crucial days of their lives. Some have given time, many have given financial resources and other means, but an entire community has given heart. YOU are why the Sanctuary Hospice House is here! Each year, a theme is chosen to help decorate and direct the annual Celebration Village event. This year’s theme was chosen to be “Christmas through the eyes of a child”. What a fitting concept to a ministry that was birthed through the eyes of dreamers who founded a ministry in a way that only a true “believer” can. On behalf of the Board, Staff and Auxiliaries of Sanctuary Hospice, we want to say THANK YOU. Thank you for believing and supporting a ministry that cares not only for the dying but also those they love. Thank you for your steadfast encouragement of a nonprofit with the vision to actively be the hands and feet of Jesus daily to all who are served. YOU have witnessed, YOU have supported, YOU have believed! Your support of Celebration Village helps provide funding needed to continue the dream. There are several special events planned this year we hope inspire you as you enter the holiday season! Please come help us celebrate, beginning Wednesday, October 18th with the annual preview gala. Doors will open at 5:30 pm and a delicious dinner by Romie’s will be served starting at 6:30. General shopping will begin on Thursday and Friday from 9am to 9pm and Saturday from 8am to 5pm. Also, Friday evening, the Sanctuary Hospice Junior Auxiliary will host the third annual Girl’s Night Out with pamper stations, heavy hor d’oeuvres, fabulous door prizes and of course shopping! Saturday morning will continue with a Breakfast with Santa for the kids. For more details on all events, please call 662-610-5482 or visit the pages of this insert. As co-chairs of Celebration Village, we wish to thank all the many volunteers who make this event possible. Countless hours are given to ensure event success. For all your hard work, we are deeply grateful. Thank you to each sponsor, vendor and shopper of Celebration Village. Because of you, the dream continues! We look forward to seeing you at the Tupelo Furniture Market, Building V for the 16th annual Celebration Village. Please make plans to join us and again, thank you for YOUR love, YOUR support and YOUR BELIEF!

2017 Celebration Village Mayor & First Lady
Mr. & Mrs. Keylon Gholston The Gholston name is one we have all come to love at Sanctuary Hospice. Not only does our first Executive Director bare the name but also a few of her “kin” who have come to rally, support and without fail be constant advocates and supporters of our ministry. The love and devotion we receive from the beautiful spirits of Keylon and Teresa Gholston have been an indescribable blessing to our mission. It has been said that volunteers do not necessarily have the time but they always have the heart. The hearts and time given of Keylon and Teresa encourage and inspire us all to do more for a cause that has cared for thousands. Teresa was born and raised in Mathiston, MS. She grew up raising and showing horses and competing in rodeo events. This path led her to attend Wood Junior College and participate in the Equestrian program. She later graduated from Mississippi State University with a degree in Animal Science. She also attended Blue Mountain College. After graduating, she went to work for Farmers Home Administration and later worked for the Family Resource Center in Tupelo. She has assisted many 4-H groups over the years and worked within the Baldwyn Booster club. She serves as an active member of the Sanctuary Hospice Auxiliary serving as chair of Celebration Village in 2016. Keylon was born and raised in Pratts, MS. He attended Northeast MS Junior College and later graduated from Mississippi State University receiving a degree in Animal Science. It was here that he met his future bride, Teresa. Keylon began his professional career at the Monroe County Co-Op in Aberdeen, MS in 1978. He later worked for Northrup King Seed Company, holding many different positions. In the mid 90’s, he became part of a small group that started Paymaster Cottonseed Company. For the past 20 years, he has worked for Delta & Pine Land Company/ Monsanto, where he holds the role of Cotton Product Manager. He has held numerous offices, including President of the Mississippi Agricultural Industry Council; President of the MS Seedsman Association and President of the Baldwyn Booster Club. Together, they own and manage Gholston Farms and Gholston Cattle Company in Pratts, MS. Keylon and Teresa are active members of Friendship Baptist Church in Guntown. They have 4 children: Brent, Cole, Lakin and Clay as well as 8 grandchildren. It is with honor that we announce Keylon & Teresa Gholston as the Mayor & First Lady of Celebration Village 2017!

keeper, Rhodes set up business selling to furniture and bedding manufacturers. Through these early years Rhodes investigated the possibilities of urethane foam. He soon recognized the potential of the new urethane foams and in 1956 as one of the first urethane foam manufacturers in the United States, launched production of foam for furniture and bedding applications. The company has grown to become one of the largest urethane foam producers in the world. Rhode’s belief in old fashion self sufficiency and independence led to his policy of eliminating as much dependence on outside suppliers as possible, acquiring ownership in oil fields and chemical facilities to control the quality of the raw materials critical to the production of polyurethane foams. The E. Rhodes Carpenter Foundation, founded in 1975, was renamed The E. Rhodes and Leona B. Foundation upon Leona’s death in 1982. The Foundation operates independently of and has no connection to Carpenter Co. The Foundation provides for grants to institutions which had close ties with Mr. and Mrs. Carpenter during their lifetimes and to organizations in communities where Mr. Carpenter established his early manufacturing facilities.

In 1948 E.R. Carpenter Co. was founded as a latex foam rubber distributor for the Goodyear Co. Most of the inventions and great ideas that are born in people’s minds and hearts never work. The Sanctuary Hospice House was a test project that had to have total community support. It’s a place to go and spend one’s last days on this earth. Can you imagine how hard and complicated and expensive this process is to care for your mother, father, son, daughter or yourself in the last days of life? We call the Sanctuary Hospice House “God’s Waiting Room For Heaven”. What a blessing it has been to our community. Linda Gholston and her staff have been the top ingredient to its success. They treat the patients and families with more love and attention than anyone could expect. The other ingredient is you, the Northeast Mississippi community. Sanctuary Hospice is funded by many people. Hard earned money and the Celebration Village is just one of the ways we all come together to share our charitable giving and every penny that it makes is deposited in Sanctuary Hospice. We salute your help in this venture that makes us all proud of Sanctuary Hospice.
