As President and Founder of financial consulting company New Perspectives, Inc., Nancy Anderson wants her financial advice to be based on her clients’ best interests. The only woman in Mississippi holding both a Chartered Financial Analyst designation and a Ph.D in Business Administration, Anderson also is a noted columnist and author. Her book “Tough Talk for Tough Times” focuses on Anderson’s common sense approach to financial matters. Additionally, she appears weekly on Mississippi Public Broadcasting’s Money Talks program and has written a weekly column for the Mississippi Business Journal. In 2012, Anderson was selected as one of eight finalists for the My Money App Up Challenge sponsored by the U.S. Department of Treasury D2D Fund. In 1990, Samuel Britton launched his accounting career by starting his own CPA firm with virtually no client base. Eventually, the firm grew to 10 employees and still operates today. Currently, the Waynesboro native serves as leader of the Energy Group at Laurel investment firm The McLean Group. Britton advises clients on mergers and acquisitions, transactions, and is responsible for managing the entire transaction process from initial contact to closing. A graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi in 1984, Britton is secretary/treasurer on the Jones County Junior College Foundation Board and the Mississippi Society of CPAs Board of Governors. Additionally, he is President of both the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce and the Rotary Club of Waynesboro. One of his most satisfying personal accomplishments was participating in a jail house ministry at the local county jail. In his spare time, Britton enjoys running.

He has advised three U.S. presidents on community development and small business matters, including serving for 10 years as Chairman of the Treasury Department’s Community Development Advisory Board. In 2012, Bynum was named Vice Chairman of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s inaugural Consumer Advisory Board. A Henry Crown Fellow of the Aspen Institute and Salzburg Seminar Fellow, Bynum also is a past recipient of the University of North Carolina Distinguished Alumni Award. CHUCK CALDWELL Silas Simmons

As a child, Chuck Caldwell often awoke in the predawn hours to the clanking of his dad’s hand-cranked Burroughs adding machine in the basement of their home. His father Wesley was one of the original partners at Natchez accounting firm Silas Simmons. Today, Chuck Caldwell is the firm’s senior managing partner after joining Silas Simmons upon graduation from the University of Mississippi in 1976. His practice areas include tax planning and compliance, estates and trusts, as well as financial consulting. Caldwell, a past president of the Mississippi Society of CPAs, also has served as a member of the Council of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. In the community, Caldwell is an active member of Jefferson Street United Methodist Church. Additionally, he has served as chairman of the Natchez-Adams County Chamber of Commerce and as president of both the Rotary Club and Historic Natchez Foundation.

Farmer’s hard work quickly paid off, as today she serves as a Relationship Banker with the Madison branch of Citizens National Bank. A 1998 Cum Laude graduate of Belhaven College, Farmer later graduated from the Paul W. Barret School of Banking in Memphis. In 2008, the Mississippi Business Journal named her one of the 50 Leading Businesswomen and finished as a Top Ten finalist for the newspaper’s 2009 Woman of the Year award. Active in the community, Farmer currently serves as Vice President of the Mississippi Children’s Home Services Board of Directors and as Forum Chair for the Mississippi Council on Economic Education. Greg Garraway strongly concurs with the belief that being a good leader requires personal sacrifice and to be available and visible, particularly in tough times. Leadership is important to Garraway, who serves as South Mississippi Area President for Regions Financial Corporation. A native of Hattiesburg, Garraway has enjoyed a long and successful career in banking and has been with Regions and its predecessors for 30 years. An active leader in his community, he’s served on the board and as former Chairman of the Area Development Foundation, the Board of the Hattiesburg Rotary Club, the Boy Scouts of Southeast Mississippi, the United Way, and former member of the USM Foundation Board. Garraway is also a member of Main Street United Methodist Church where he serves as Chair of the Finance Committee. He is married to the former Amy Lehmann of Natchez and has a daughter, Greer Garraway of Hattiesburg.

Helping people think early and think ahead when it comes to preparing for retirement is one of Jaye Germany’s main goals. An Associate with Thrivent Financial in Brandon, Germany qualified to attend the Peak Performer conference and has grown his customer base by over 12 percent since joining the firm. In addition to his employment with Thrivent, Germany has been a member of the Mississippi National Guard for over 16 years, serving as a Flight Operations Officer. Prior to joining Thrivent, he was commander of a Guard unit in Kandahar, Afghanistan, where he was responsible for 180 soldiers and 16 Chinook helicopters. While in Afghanistan, Germany earned the Bronze Star Medal for his distinguished service in combat. A member of the Galloway Memorial United Methodist Church, he also is active with Habitat for Humanity and local disaster relief efforts for Mississippi tornado victims.

As a CPA with more than a decade of experience, Rhonda Hamilton has enjoyed a solid career progression. Currently, she serves as the Chief Financial Officer for Sta-Home Health & Hospice, where Hamilton prepares financial analyses of operation, including monthly and annual financial statements with supporting schedules for the guidance of management. Hamilton’s areas of expertise include audit management, staff supervision, income tax accruals and ACL extraction. With Hamilton’s help, Sta-Home made the transition from a family-owned company to a 100 percent employee owned company as of January 2014. Prior to joining Sta-Home, the University of Southern Mississippi graduate was audit supervisor with Ridgeland accounting firm Carr, Riggs & Ingram, and Manager of Financial Reporting at St. Dominic Hospital, where she supervised long-term budgetary planning. As President of Tupelo accounting firm Nail McKinney, David Miller is all about giving back to his community. Dedicated to making a difference in north Mississippi, Miller and his Nail McKinney team rolled up their sleeves in July for Eight Days of Hope, an effort to help devastated Tupelo neighborhoods rebuild after last spring’s tornado ripped through the area. In 1979, Miller joined Nail McKinney and worked his way to the presidency of the firm seven years ago. A native of Kossuth, he graduated from the University of Mississippi with an Accountancy degree. Miller’s areas of practice include Wholesale Distribution, Manufacturing, Management Consulting and Petroleum Distributors. Miller and his wife Ellen are the proud parents of two children, Blake and Grace, and are active members of First Baptist Church of Tupelo.

For Tammy Phillips, banking is a very personal experience. Now the Deputy President of Community Bank of Mississippi, Phillips takes great pride in the hiring of many of the 102 employees that she supervises. Before joining Community Bank in 1995, Phillips served as a Customer Service Representative for the Bank of Forest. Recently, the Bank of Yazoo and a Dallas, Texas, bank teamed to provide Yazoo City low-income housing unit Magnolia Crossing with a $460,000 grant to assist with renovation efforts. A Pontotoc native, Ray joined the Bank of Yazoo in 1984 after receiving his MBA from the University of Mississippi. He also graduated from the LSU Graduate School of Banking and Independent Community Bankers of America Investment School at Vanderbilt University. Ray is past president of the Yazoo City Rotary Club, Martha Coker Home and Vice President of Kings Daughters Hospital. He currently serves as a board member of United Methodist Senior Services, as well as the Carl and Virginal Day Trust. Ray and wife Amy are active members of First United Methodist Church.

At one time, Marcus Robinson had a dual career as a church pastor and vice president for commercial lending. Though he remains active in his church, Robinson now focuses his attention on his duties as the President and CEO of Magnolia State Bank. He began his banking career with Deposit Guaranty National Bank in 1984 as a credit analyst and later became a loan officer and senior leader in the Jackson, Hattiesburg and Meridian locations. Before joining Magnolia, Robinson served as an independent bank consultant, performing loan reviews and audits utilizing real estate and mortgage lending programs he developed. A Mississippi State University graduate, Robinson received his Master of Business Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi, taking night courses while working full-time at Deposit Guaranty. A Leaders for a New Century member, Robinson is also active as a volunteer with United Way and the March of Dimes.

William B. (Billy Buck) Staggers earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree at University of Mississippi in 1971. He joined Watkins, Ward and Stafford in 1973 and admitted to the partnership in 1984. Billy Buck is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants, MSCPA Taxation Committee, Mississippi Tax Institute and Mississippi Secretary of State Asset Protected Task Force Committee. With over 38 years experience, Staggers’ practice is concentrated in individual, corporate, fiduciary and estate tax, estate planning, executor and estate administration, trusts and management advisory services. He is treasurer of Costal Conservation Association and the C. P. Winters Foundation and a member of Rotary, Ducks Unlimited and Bancorpsouth Advisory Board. Staggers is an active member of First United Methodist Church where he has served as chairman of the Finance Council, and been a member of the Administrative Council and a CDC Board member. He is married to Judy Staggers, and they have two sons, Robert and John Murphy.

Harry Walker is president of the Central Mississippi region for Trustmark, and serves on the Board of Directors. He joined Trustmark in 1972, and has been Chief Lending Officer, Real Estate Department Manager and Head of Municipal Investments.
