The South Pontotoc Archery team is still in a rebuilding phase for the 2022 season. With new young archers joining this year, there has been a lot of progress being achieved for the team in such a short season. Sophomore archer Evan Yielding is the male shooter to watch with scores in the high 270s and 280s with Junior Braxton Ratliff also shooting in the 270s. Newcomer Hayden Enis has proven himself by being in the top 12 shooters in every match this season. Female shooters outnumber the male shooters and have proven themselves to be an undeniable asset to this year’s team Ella Washington, Becky Milner, Madison and Abby Williams have really brought in the numbers for their team. Coach Christi Cowsert said “ This year’s team has come to win. They came in wanting to learn and get better. That is exactly what they have done and it has shown by improving every match. I ‘m excited for the rest of the season and seasons to come . Since our team is young and if they stick with it , we have potential for great things.”

North Half will be March 29-31 and State Championships will be April 4-9.
