Julianne Bailey

Mississippi Department of Human Services

J

ulianne Bailey is senior attorney at Mississippi Department of Human Services. She graduated from the University of Mississippi in 2007 with degrees in German and International Studies. In college, she was active in, and graduated from, the Sally McDonnel-Barksdale Honors College and the Croft Institute for International Studies. She graduated from the University Of Mississippi School Of Law in 2010 with her law degree. After law school, she clerked at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in the Rocket Launch Services Division. I then briefly practiced appellate law, before moving back to Mississippi and beginning employment at the Mississippi Department of Human Services’ Child Support Division. Bailey does policy work and helps ensure that MDHS’ Child Support Division is compliant with all applicable state and federal laws and regulations. In auditing the vendor, she strives to ensure that our clients’ needs are being met and that taxpayer resources are being safeguarded. She lives in Cleveland with my husband, Chris, and children, Faulkner, 7, and Beau, 4 and they are active members of St. Luke United Methodist Church.

Tenesha Danielle Batiste Tenesha & Company

T

enesha Batiste is a proud graduate of historic Tougaloo College. Batiste own Tenesha & Company, a full service event planning and consulting firm. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English/Journalism with an emphasis in Public Relations, a Masters of Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resources Management. She is also a doctoral candidate at the University of Southern Mississippi. She is a graduate of Leadership Jackson County and the Mississippi Community College Leadership Academy. She was recently selected to serve as a Scott Hawkins Institute Leadership Fellow, which is an in depth, highly competitive, two year leadership fellowship for women under the age of 45. Having led Human Resources & People Development at the City of Moss Point, Singing River Health System, Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and Moss Point School District, she is an experienced and passionate Human Resources Professional, known for being an employee advocate and people developer. Batiste is an active member of Hope Community Church where she serves as Sunday School Superintendent. Batiste resided in Moss Point, Ms with her husband Pastor Tony R. Batiste.

Bridgett Bell

University of Mississippi Medical Center

B

ridgett Bell is an Associate Human Resources Business Partner for the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where she partners with management to align and drive key human resource strategies, iniativies and programs. She also serves as the Public Relations Chair for the Junior Auxiliary of Rankin County, a nonprofit organization which renders services to the general public, with a particular emphasis on children. In her role as the Public Relations Chair, she tells the JA story and seeks out relationships with media and community leaders to create visibility and build trust in the chapter. As a member of the JA of Rankin County she serves on multiple projects, volunteering at organizations such as the Mississippi State Hospital Oak Circle Center and the Mustard Seed. A native of Jackson, she graduated Cum Laude from Belhaven with a bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, later becoming a Society of Human Resources Management Certified Professional. Participating in programs such as Leadership Rankin, Bell has a passion for her community and promoting businesses within it. In her leisure time, she enjoys leading preschool Lifegroups at Crossgates Baptist Church, and traveling with her husband and three children.

Terrance Bonner The Glam Station Spa

T

errance Bonner is the Owner and Operator of The Glam Station Spa, located in Columbus, Mississippi. He has a dual license in Massage Therapy and Aesthetics and his passion is to provide the highest quality in Aesthetics and Massage Therapy. Bonner has won multiple awards in his field including The Best Aesthetician in 2015, 2016, 2018, and; The Best Spa of Mississippi in 2019, allowing him to be featured on NBC, ABC, FOX, and CBS. Bonner continues to achieve tremendous attributes in the wellness industry as well as make strides in the business coaching arena with the opening of The Bonner Institute. He plans to help individuals who dream of entrepreneurship to open their businesses and he is teaching it step by step to new wellness entrepreneurs through his debut workbook, “Detemination+Core Values=Success.” He is confident that sharing his struggles, failures, and advice will help the next generation of business owners reach past their insecurities and build thriving businesses that sustain past this pandemic and continue to grow for years to come.

Chris Boothe

Boston Scientific Neuromodulation

C

hris Boothe is a Clinical Specialist at Boston Scientific Neuromodulation. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Southern Mississippi. Since graduation, Chris has worked in Emergency Medicine, Interventional Pain Management, Surgical Robotics, and served as the Chief Nursing Administrator of a psychiatric care facility. As a national clinical nurse educator, Chris has observed cases and presented education in more than 100 operating rooms across the United States. Prior to becoming a registered nurse, Chris served his community as a Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician with the Madison Volunteer Fire Department and local ambulance service. As a Clinical Specialist with Boston Scientific Neuromodulation, he provides direct patient care and education while working alongside physicians during the trial and implantation of spinal cord stimulators. Chris lives in Madison, MS with his wife, 2 children, and 4lb dog. He enjoys football, working out, genealogy, and spending time with his family and friends.

Chris Brantley Trustmark National Bank

C

hris Brantley is an Assistant Vice President and Relationship Manager in Trustmark National Bank’s Private Banking Division and serves the Jackson Metro area. Brantley joined Trustmark in September of 2018 as a Trust Officer in Trustmark’s Private Wealth Division and was promoted to Assistant Vice President and Relationship Manager in Private Banking in 2020. He has more than 9 years’ experience in financial services roles. Brantley is a 2012 graduate of The University of Mississippi with Bachelors of Business Administration. Brantley is a member and Past President of the Estate Planning Council of Mississippi and the Rotary Club of North Jackson. When ask who is his role model, Chris says its his father. His father’s drive, work ethic, and integrity is what inspires him daily. Brantley and his wife, Reynolds, reside in Jackson and have two children.

alph Brown is the Vice President, Regional Director of Commercial Lending for the State of Mississippi at Liberty Bank & Trust Co. in Jackson, Mississippi. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Banking and Finance from Mississippi State University and a Masters of Business Administration from Belhaven University. In 2012, he became Co-Founder & Co-Pastor of Towdah Praise Worship Center. With over 18 years of experience in the financial services industry, Brown has gained a vast array of knowledge & experience that has helped to shape and propel his career as a Commercial Banking Professional. Further capitalizing on his educational & professional journey, he has also embraced his entrepreneurial talents and recently launched his own professional/business development and resume writing company, Rightway Resumes. In 2022, Brown became a member of the National Resume Writers Association, nonprofit association. representing 500+ professional resume writers across the U.S. and Canada. A native of Flora Mississippi, Ralph currently lives in Madison, Mississippi with his wife Keesha and two sons, Jaderius & Ralph III (RJ).

agen Bynum is the Founder and President of Magnolia Soap and Bath Company. Magen is continually expanding the company’s footprints of stores, wholesale accounts, and product lines. She oversees a budget of more than $5 million, its 25 company and franchise stores, 600 wholesale accounts and more than 50 employees Magen is a licensed Cosmetologist and has been awarded Main Street Association Entrepreneur of the Year and New Albany Mains Street Presidents Award. She is an active participant with New Albany Main Street Association, a sponsor and supporter for the Miss New Albany Scholarship organization, and supporter of more than a dozen charitable organizations each year. Magen is married with two beautiful, intelligent girls. She enjoys family time at their family house at Pickwick Lake where she can relax and recharge. She also enjoys playing sports and tending to her yard and garden.

Justin Chancellor RJ Young

J

ustin Chancellor is the Regional Vice President for RJ Young in the west region. Justin is responsible for all operational and financial operations of a twostate territory of Mississippi and Louisiana, as well as managing five branches and eight managers. While at RJ Young, Justin has received the Presidents’ Club award, Million Dollar Sales Club, Branch of the Year for both Hattiesburg and Jackson. Justin received his Bachelors of Arts in Biochemistry from the University of Mississippi. He is a member of Ranking Chamber of Commerce, Madison County Business League and Foundation and Hattiesburg Area Development Partnership. Justin and his wife is proud parents of two. Because of their struggle with major fertility issues, they started an organization through their church in Jackson called Hannah’s Hope which helps couples in the community with their infertility journey.

eShawn Davis is the definition of entrepreneurship. Davis attended University of Southern Mississippi to study finance. He is currently enrolled in University of Southern Mississippi School of business to complete his finance degree and obtain his Masters. Davis is an entrepreneur and enjoys writing business plans and advising small business owners on marketing and operations. In 2016, he founded The Davis Premier Group LLC, Residential and Commercial, REALTORS, where he and a small handpicked team advise Residential, Commercial, and Real Estate Investment, clients. Davis is very active in REALTOR Associations. He is currently serving on the Board of Directors for the Hattiesburg Area Association of REALTORS as Immediate Past President. As a member of the 2022 Leadership Team of the MS REALTORS, he is Southern Vice President. He is also Chair of the Communication and Technology Committee and the REALTOR Editorial Review Board, Real Estate LEADER. Deshawn and his wife Victoria have four children Jadyn, Brylee, Bailee, and Deshawn Jr.

Erin Fults Acorn Studio

E

rin Fults is a strategist, coach, and implementer. She coaches businesses on how to create a clear brand message and implement practical, business frameworks that organize them for growth. As a result, her clients increase revenue, have a clear marketing plan, and lead their team with confidence. Erin is the founder of Acorn Studio – a business coaching and marketing consultancy. She is a Storybrand Certified Guide. Her background includes more than a decade of experience growing a professional photography studio. She also organized and co-hosted an annual conference that attracted small business owners from around the world. When she isn’t obsessing over her clients’ success, Erin and her husband, Jon, along with their three children, love hosting friends and family at their home in Mississippi. Most days you’ll find as many as 12 neighbor kids playing in her yard after school. When she can catch a moment to herself, Erin enjoys cycling and reading. The verdict is still out on whether or not consuming stacks of marketing and business strategy books actually counts as a hobby.

ye C. Handy is a 2012 graduate of Tougaloo College, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in English. She then went on to graduate from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 2015. Handy is an associate at Balch & Bingham, LLP Handy has devoted her time to the programs of The Mississippi Bar. She has served on the High School Mock Trial Competition Committee for six years and currently serves as the committee’s Co-Chair, having navigated the pandemic to deliver a successful virtual competition. She currently serves as the Diversity Committee Chair for the Jackson Young Lawyers and is a founding member of the University of Mississippi School of Law’s Diversity Council of which she is now the Chair. She has been selected as a 2019, 2020 Super Lawyers Mid-South Rising Stars and 2021, 2022 Best Lawyers Ones to Watch. Handy received the 2021 Law Related Education Award from the Mississippi Bar Foundation and received the 2021 Outstanding Young Lawyer Award from the Young Lawyers Division of the Mississippi Bar.

Kimberly Harrell Belhaven University

K

imberly Harrell is the Head Women’s Soccer Coach/Special Events Coordinator and Graduate Professor at Belhaven University. She received her Bachelor’s in Education, Masters Degree in Higher Education from Mississippi College. She also received her Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership from Belhaven University. Kimberly has taken the women’s soccer team to the ASC Quarterfinals three years in a row. Prior to her time at Belhaven University, she was employed by the Rankin County School District where she was a teacher at Richland High School and the Head Girls Soccer Coach winning several District and North State championships. She was also Assistant Athletic Director, assisted with Boys Soccer and Slow Pitch Softball and received the Metro Jackson Teacher of the Year Award. Kimberly is involved in many ministries such as We Will Go, Athletes in Action, K-Love, and Compassion International. She also serves as a volunteer and board member for the Richland Futbol Club, serves on different committees at First Baptist Church of Richland, as well as teaches 1st-6th grade GAs (Girls in Action). Kimberly resides in Florence with her husband, Matt, and her daughter Addison.

D

aniel Hass is Director of Marketing at Mossy Oak where he works with teams within the organization to execute ad support for partners and retailers, build core brand messages for national campaigns across traditional and digital platforms. Daniel received his Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from Mississippi State University. He’s been awarded Golden Triangle Leadership, and the legacy award from Legends of Outdoors Hall of Fame. While at Mossy Oak he has helped to institute the Mossy Oak Wild Turkey stamp to raise money for wild turkeys. He has helped meld the new with the old establishing “modern nostalgia” with products that harken back to Mossy Oak’s history. Lastly he has help establish Sticks & Strings concert series to showcase musicians who were sidelined from Covid restrictions and suspended tours. Daniel considers his grandfather his role model, and values him being a man of his word and both professionally and personally. Daniel believes it is up to him and his team members to continue the Mossy Oak tradition for another 35 years.

Zachary Henry Duval Decker Architects

A

s an architectural associate at Duvall Decker Architects, Zachary R. Henry, Assoc. He was recently a lead designer on the extensive renovation of Operation Shoestring. Zachary currently serves as the Project Manager for a rehabilitation project in Downtown Greenville that, once complete, hopes to revitalize an urban fabric that has been absent for decades in one of Mississippi’s most important cities. Zachary has received multiple awards for design excellence and volunteer efforts, including the 2018 AIA Henry Adams Medal and the 2021 AIA Mississippi Emerging Professional Award. He was the recipient of the 2016 Jones Traveling Research Fellowship, which led him to live and study in New South Wales, Australia. He has presented, written about, and interviewed some of the world’s foremost experts on environmental and responsible design. His paper, Ecological Functionalism: In the Work of Glenn Murcutt, was awarded the 2017 Undergraduate Paper of the Year by the BTES and published in Poetics & Pragmatism Proceedings. Zachary currently serves as a 2022-2023 At-Large Director for the AIA National Associates Committee. Zachary is currently pursuing his architecture license and LEED accreditation.

Abby Jenkins

East Mississippi Community College

A

bby Jenkins is the Athletic Academic Advisor/Compliance Assistant and Director of Dual Enrollment at East Mississippi Community College. Under Jenkins’ watchful supervision, East Mississippi has totaled 121 NJCAA All-Academic Student-Athlete Awards during the past four academic years combined, including 30 or more academic recipients each of the last three years. EMCC also set an academic standard this past school year by featuring a school record of 15 student-athletes who registered perfect 4.00-grade point averages. Jenkins received her Bachelor’s of Science degree from Mississippi College and her Master’s in Education from the University of West Alabama. She is currently pursuing her Ed.D in Higher Education from the University of Southern Mississippi. In addition to being a member of the Mississippi Counseling Association, she has completed the Mississippi Alternate Path to Quality School Leadership Program. She has been specially trained through the National Institute for School Leadership for dropout prevention. Abby and her husband Ryan have two boys, Hayden and Henley and are active members of First Baptist Church of Philadelphia.

Keemonica Johnson Citizens National Bank

K

eemonica Johnson has 20 years of retail, management and banking experience, and serves as a Bank Manager for Citizens National Bank in Meridian. She currently serves on the Board of the Meridian Symphony Association and will soon serve the Mississippi Children’s Museum Partners as VP of Finance for Meridian. Keemonica is passionate about helping others to develop effective money management skills; therefore she is active in the community teaching financial literacy classes for children as well as adults. In 2010, she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Mississippi State University and also holds an Associate in Arts degree from Meridian Community College where she was a member of Phi Theta Kappa. Johnson and her husband Eric attend Haven Chapel United Methodist Church in Meridian and have two sons: Jordan is 17 years old, and Jace is five years old.

He obtained certification as a Scrum Master by Scrum Inc. and is working towards obtaining certification as an Agile Certified Practitioner by the Project Management Institute (PMI-ACP). Joyner earned his bachelor’s degree in Economics from Washington and Lee University and specialized in Poverty & Human Capability Studies. He serves on the steering committee for Canopy Children’s Solutions and a tax assistance intaker/greeter with Volunteer Income Tax Assistance. He is a panel member on Low Income Energy Issues Forum, a general member with the National Energy and Utilities Affordability Coalition, Asset Funders Network and EITC Funders Network. obbi Jo Knight is the Senior Director of Operations at Medical Management Services, where she oversees quality and patient experience initiatives across a network of primary care and specialty clinics and facilities. For over 16 years, Bobbi Jo has played multiple roles in the day-to-day operations of a network producing more than 75 million dollars of gross operating revenue annually. She is focused on improving operational excellence, quality performance, and health outcomes across Mississippi. Knight received her Bachelor’s of Science in Health Administration from Mississippi College. She is a certified professional coder (AAPC), certified professional medical auditor (NAMAS) and a certified professional ambulatory surgery center coder (AAPC). She is yellow b belt certified from Lean Six Sigma Institute. She considers her most significant personal accomplishment in being a great wife, mother, sister and aunt.

L

awren Long is Chief Financial Officer at For Brown Girls Inc. She is a two-time graduate of Jackson State University where she earned a Ph.D. in Public Policy and Administration. She currently serves as the National Policy Coordinator for ROC United, a national non-profit organization that works to improve the livelihood of restaurant workers. kwete Muhammad is responsible for outreach to the broader community, recruiting volunteers that support the mission of Pine Belt Habitat, assists in grant writing, serves as project manager for fundraising events, is responsible for press releases and maintaining a constant social media presence. She also assists Pine Belt Habitat in offering families, sustainable and affordable housing solutions throughout the Pine Belt Area. Prior to accepting her current position, Akwete was a FEMA Housing Inspector for 1 year and she also worked at the City of Hattiesburg in the Department of Urban Development, as the Code Enforcement Clerk. She also served as Assessment Collector for the City of Hattiesburg Water Billing Office. She served in these roles for 4 years, which helped to uniquely prepare her for her role in the Non-Profit arena. Akwete Muhammad is a proud graduate of Tupelo High School, Class of 2001, and she attended the University of Mississippi as a Bio-Chemistry Pre-Med Major.
