SENECA CULTURAL PARK | Alicante University Work | 2012
This project entails creating a large scale park in the centre, of Alicante as an answer for a need of open space in an area which is almost collapsed. The proposal creates a modular space surrounded by nature, which contains a vertical platform system with a wide cultural programme, developed depending on the activities performed by the users and their necessities, creating a set of interconnected spaces in an intermediate state between public and private, giving a social, cultural, economical and environmental answer to an urbanistic problem.

https://vimeo.com/98636136 The Course W.A.T.C.H. 2 emerges in order to produce projects which help in solving problems in the city of Alicante. In our case, we worked on waste management and the city council asked us to make a proposal for collecting the rubbish generated on Saturday mornings in the square next to the central market. Our proposal consists in generating recycled and recyclable temporary furniture, which could accumulate the waste as well as serving as infrastructure for the desired activity, generating an attractive image in the square related to the local culture and with a low cost construction. The course also proposed the development of marketing campaigns related to our projects in order to learn about the importance of communicating with the public, regarding architecture.

MEMORIAS PRODUCTIVAS | Canfranc (SPAIN) Final Degree Project (9/10) | 2016
Canfranc is a small town in the Spanish Pyrenees. In 1928, the second biggest train station in Europe was opened to create a new connection between Spain and France, but after an accident in 1970, the line was closed and the town lost its main source of income, causing people to migrate to other places. This proposal is not just an architectural res¬ponse, but also establish a new social model that could offer the locals a guarantee for the future. The project is inserted in a natural frame in which leisure and work are connected in a way that sets the basis of this new development. The recuperation of the railway infrastructure allows the conservation of the local historical memory, and generates a very special urban development connecting tourism with the new forest industry which was proposed.

SPATIAL CONTENTION WALLS | Granada (SPAIN) Collaboration in Final Degree of Rosa Fuentes | 2013
For the final Master’s degree project of Rosa Fuentes, I created some external and internal images showing not just the building proposed, but the space created between the ancient Hospital Real building and the new one, and how vegetation generates a comfortable space. For these images, I made a volumetric 3d model used to make and texturise simple renders while adding all the context, vegetation and people in Photoshop.

LIVING IN A VINEYARD
(1st PRIZE)
| Alicante
University Work & International Competition | 2010
The Healthy Housing Award is a competition held among different European universities looking to investigate new ways of sustainability in architectural housing design. The project which won the 6th edition was related conceptually and materially with the local culture. A vineyard is set there, in which the house is inserted and uses passive systems for thermal conditioning, which look to reduce costs by taking advantage of the environment surrounding it.

EL BOSC D'elCasc (1st Prize) | Villena (Alicante) Workshop UA + elfabricantedeespheras | 2013
“A meeting point, a reunion place, a landmark, an information point, but also a leisure space, for fun, a place where to find yourself and relate with others. A set of spaces forming a space of its own, a place where to get lost and found again while crossing toward the next group of trees.” For the first edition of the workshop, we proposed creating a forest made with reused cardboard cones in connection with the local culture (they used to be reels of thread) which fit in perfectly with the temporary nature of the intervention.

TWO WORLDS | Lisbon Workshop Brito.Rodriguez | 2014
In the Summer of 2014, I went to Lisbon to take part in the Art-architecture workshop in the Brito.Rodriguez studio. I wanted to get to know the city and this was the perfect opportunity. Regarding the work we did at the workshop, we were asked to formulate a proposal for a meditation space, designed in the surroundings of Lisbon, in the time span of a week. I took the architecture of RCR and Richard Serra’s work as references in order to generate an underground space serving as a path between two worlds: the real and the imaginary one, the physical one and its subconscious counterpart.

F.A.L.A. | Alicante Personal Order | 2015
Because of the work “The Trash Flowers” it appears an order to design a cardboard furniture for the Artist Books Fair in Alicante. We were asked for design a temporary use furniture that give support to the event. We propose a set of modular piling elements that generate a paper landscape that promote the relations between the artists and the visitors. The disposition of the modules created an itinerary through the exhibition that join meeting points in which develop the events that includes the fair.

HASHIM VILLA (ROSE DESERT)| Dubai (UAE) Office work (RCR) | 2014-2015
My main assignment in RCR was the Hashim’s Villa. It was the second house in Dubai that the studio had to design, both houses were related because the clients were brothers and the hou-ses were also located in the same neighbourhood. We tried mixing the Arab world with the Catalonian architecture of Gaudí and his catenaries. I participated in all the design phases of the project, from its conception to its construction details, but I spent the majority of my time on defining the house in 3d, since we had to control all the intersections which this complex shape implied. The project was important for the studio, and it was showcased in the exhibition of its 25th anniversary.

IBRAHIM VILLA (DUNE HOUSE) | Dubai (UAE) Office work (RCR) | 2015
Ibrahim Villa is a private, single house which arrived at the RCR studio as a personal order to develop a single family home in Dubai. It was decided to create a new way of living, connected with the local conditions, integrating the house in a dune topography which could contain different habitable units in the future. In this project, I was asked to develop two conceptual external images to explain the volume and the landscape integration to the client; as well as two internal images which could transmit the atmosphere we were creating, the materiality and how the light would enter and define the space.

OLYMPICOPOLIS | London (UK) Office work (RCR) / Competition | 2015
During my second period in RCR, the studio was invited to participate in a competition to design a new cultural district in London’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, in a team along with Rick Mather Architects, Ishigami, SO-IL, Ramboll, among others. It was a big competition which contained around 160.000 m2 of cultural and residential buildings that will be a new landmark in the city. My tasks in this project were to develop our conceptual idea and general shape, as well as making some renders and physical models. In the second designing phase, we had to define the V&A Museum proposal, and I was in charge of the main expositive space, the 3d model we used for the architectural drawings, and the graphic definition of a plan and elevation which served as a means to define our team’s graphic style.

MAISON SOULAGES | Rodez (France) Office work (RCR) | 2015
In 2015, to reactivate the project, coinciding with the AV Monographies publication that gather the last studio projects realized out of Spain I have been asked for the realization of the image corresponding to the underground space. For the image the space was modelled and the benches also (design of RCR), and the textures and lights were developed in Photoshop, trying to generate the feeling of a cosy space that we were looking for, generating a contrast between light and shadow as in the painter work.
