WHO'S WHO IN GALLIM
GEORGIA USBORNE (Rehearsal Director) (she/her) is a performer, choreographer, and teacher based in Brooklyn. Originally from the UK, she graduated from Central School of Ballet in 2010 and danced with Bern Ballet in Switzerland under the direction of Cathy Marston. In Bern, Georgia worked with choreographers including Alexander Ekman, Adonis Foniadakis, Johan Inger, Didy Veldman, and Noa Zuk, and completed her MA in Contemporary Dance. Georgia joined Andrea Miller’s GALLIM in 2014, creating, performing, and teaching internationally, and working as GALLIM’s Studio Programming Coordinator from 20182019. She continues to work with GALLIM as a Guest Artist, Teacher, and Rehearsal Director, as well as collaborating with other NY-based choreographers and dance companies. Georgia teaches Improvisation to all ages and levels and choreographs for film, video, and live performance. Her dance films have received awards at International Film Festivals. Georgia is the Founding Director of CreateART, interdisciplinary performance and residency platform for emerging art, and has worked as Community Organizer for Arts On Site. She is currently performing as a cast member of Punch Drunk’s Sleep No More
CHLOE CRENSHAW (Dancer) (she/her) is from Los Angeles, CA. She danced with Ballet BC as an Emerging Artist under the direction of Medhi Walerski for the 2021/22 season. She holds her BFA in Dance from the California Institute of the Arts (’21) and is a graduate of The HARID Conservatory (’18). Performance credits include work by Danielle Agami, Trisha Brown, Peter Chu, Crystal Pite, David Raymond and Tiffany Tregarthen, Spenser Theberge, and Medhi Walerski, among others. Additional training programs include Springboard Danse Montreal, GagaLab, BODYTRAFFIC, Boston Ballet, and the School of American Ballet.
SYDNEY CHOW (Dancer) (she/her) was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. She attended the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts, where she was named a YoungArts winner in Modern/Contemporary Dance. She then received her BFA in dance and minor in computer programming from NYU Tisch School of the Arts. Since graduating, she has performed works by Gabrielle Lamb, Rohan Bhargava, and most recently Crystal Pite and Chuck Wilt at Springboard Danse Montreal. She joined GALLIM for its Fall 2022 season and is very grateful to continue with the company.
DONTERREO CULP (Dancer) (he/him) is an NYC-based freelance dancer and choreographer with a BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography from East Carolina University and a minor in Business Administration. In 2018, he received the Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity Award, which allowed him to create an evening length work and hone in on his choreographic processes. Donterreo's passion for dance has led him to perform with renowned choreographers such as Kyle Abraham, Alanna Morris, Richard Smith, Jennifer Archibald, and many more. Donterreo has worked with Nimbus Dance, performing works by Sofia Nappi, Kristen Klein, Dawn Marie Bazemore, and Samuel Pott.

MARC ANTHONY GUTIERREZ (Dancer) (he/him) is originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, where he began his dance training with DACPAC under the direction of Cheryl Copeland and Dominique Lomuljo. He received his BFA from SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Dance as a scholarship recipient in 2022. Over the years, he has had the privilege of performing works by Sidra Bell, Andrea Miller, Kyle Abraham, Doug Varone, and Cindy Salgado. During his senior year of college he began working for GALLIM and is grateful to be joining them on another project.
ELLEXIS HATCH (Dancer) (she/her), born and raised in Orlando, FL, fell in love with dance at Movement Arts Studio. She received her BFA from The Juilliard School in 2022 and supplemental training from LINES Ballet, Arts Umbrella, and GagaLabs. During her time at school, she performed works by artists such as Aszure Barton, Trisha Brown, Ohad Naharin, Justin Peck, Jamar Roberts, and Bobbi Jene Smith. Ellexis feels honored to have been a selected choreographer for Lincoln Center Restart Stages, National Sawdust Festival, and Senior Production 2022 at The Juilliard School.
INDIA HOBBS (Dancer) (she/her) is a professional dancer based in Brooklyn, NY. Hobbs trained at The Chicago Multi-Cultural Dance Center and continued her training at The Chicago Academy for the Arts ‘17. She performed in works created by Brian Brooks, Jonathan E. Alsberry, Stephanie Martinez, and Preston Miller. Hobbs attended The Boston Conservatory ’21, where she worked with Catherine Coury, Loni Landon, Mark Morris, Martha Nichols, and Avery Gerhardt. India attended workshops held by, A.I.M by Kyle Abraham (2019), LINES Ballet (2015), and Dance Theatre of Harlem (2015). Hobbs has collaborated with Haus of PVMNT, as well as choreographer Olga Rabetskaya.
NOUHOUM KOITA (Dancer) (he/him) is a Japanese and Malian dance artist from Brooklyn, NY. He started his training at the National Dance Institute. Koita then went on to train at LaGuardia Arts High School and The Juilliard School. He is also an alumni of MOVE|NYC|‘s Young Professionals Program under the direction of Nigel Campbell and Chanel DaSilva. In 2020, Koita was named a National YoungArts Finalist at the Gold Award level, and a U.S. Presidential Scholar in the Arts. Koita has performed works by Trisha Brown, Roderick George, Ohad Naharin, Shamel Pitts, and Andrea Miller.
VIVIAN PAKKANEN (Dancer) (she/her) is a Finnish dance artist performing internationally with her home base currently in Oslo, Norway where she studied at the Oslo National Academy of The Arts. She completed her Master’s degree with the Rambert school for Ballet and Contemporary dance, while dancing with Rambert Dance in their 2019/2020 cohort of Rambert2. She has performed in works by Ohad Naharin, Jermaine Spivey, Benoit Swan Pouffer, Sharon Eyal, Fabrice Mazlliah, and Daniel Proietto. She is also working with Andrea Miller for a commission with the English National Ballet as an R&D artist.

GARY REAGAN (Dancer) (he/him) is originally from Pennsylvania and has trained in dance since a young age. He graduated from The University of the Arts with a BFA in Dance in 2015. During college, he received additional international dance training from renowned schools in France, Belgium, and Israel and performed in works by Sidra Bell, Netta Yerushalmy, Ohad Naharin, and Sharon Eyal. He has worked with Ate9 Dance Company, GALLIM, and appeared in various commercials, dance films, and music videos. He currently lives in New Jersey with his spouse and is excited to be back with GALLIM.
BRYAN TESTA (Dancer) (he/him) is an NYC-based dancer from Rochester, NY. There, he trained at Dance Dimensions by Susan and the Timothy M. Draper Center for Dance Education. He attended Marymount Manhattan College, graduating in 2022 with his BFA in Dance with a concentration in Modern. In the Fall of 2022, Bryan joined the inaugural cohort of GibneyPRO, where he continued his training under the leadership of Alexandra Wells, Gilbert T. Small II, and Bret Yamanaka. Bryan has performed works by Hofesh Shechter, Andrea Miller, Yin Yue, Rena Butler, Maleek Washington, Laja Feild, and Jenn Freeman.
EMMA THESING (Dancer) (she/her) is from Chicago, IL, where she danced with the pre-professional performing company at Visceral Dance Chicago under the mentorship of artistic director, Nick Pupillo. Emma then went on to graduate Summa Cum Laude with a B.F.A in dance from the Conservatory of Dance at Purchase College, SUNY. While at Purchase she worked with choreographers such as Ana Maria Lucaciu, Joseph Hernandez, Peter Chu, Annie Rigney, Andrea Miller, and Hannah Garner/2nd Best Dance. Since graduating Emma has danced in GALLIM’s 15th Anniversary Gala/Performances and had opportunities to teach GALLIM methods and repertoire.
RYAN VYSKOCIL (Dancer) (he/him) is an artist prioritizing versatility and authentic meaning within movement, unraveling the body’s capability when expressing experience, history, and emotionality in different spaces. He began training tap and jazz at Dawn Crafton Dance Connection, he continued to ballet at Akhmedova Ballet Academy, as well as training in modern, hip-hop, and contemporary. Ryan attended the USC Kaufman School, and worked to define new movement through multi-disciplinary study, composition and performance. Learning works by innovators; William Forsythe, Jiří Kylián, Ohad Naharin, Merce Cunningham, and Tessandra Chavez.
CHANNCE WILLIAMS (Dancer) (he/him) trained at the Center of Creative Arts and Central Visual & Performing Arts High School in St. Louis. He attended Point Park University, receiving his BFA in Dance in 2020. He performed both new and restaged works by Kyle Abraham, Sidra Bell, Martha Nichols, Aszure Barton, and José Limón, among several others. He has performed professionally with The Pillow Project, GroundWorks DanceTheater, and Sidra Bell Dance New York. In 2021, his work was featured in the Screendance Miami Festival. He has attended training programs at Dance Theatre of Harlem, Nutmeg Conservatory, and Springboard Danse Montréal

CHALVAR MONTEIRO (Guest Artist - Dancer), from Montclair, NJ, began training at Sharron Miller’s Academy for the Performing Arts and went on to study at The Ailey School before receiving his BFA in Dance from SUNY Purchase. Chalvar has worked with Sidra Bell Dance New York, Elisa Monte Dance, Keigwin + Company, BODYTRAFFIC, and A.I.M by Kyle Abraham. He assisted Kyle Abraham in setting and creating work for Barnard College, Princeton University, Emory University, NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Wendy Whelan’s Restless Creature, and New York City Ballet. In 2019, he was selected to participate in Merce Cunningham Trust’s Night of 100 Solos: A Centennial Event. Monteiro’s choreography has been presented as part of Ailey’s 2021 Virtual Spirit Gala, Kyle Abraham’s Reunion at Lincoln Center, as well as at other festivals and institutions across the U.S. He was in Ailey II and joined the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in 2015.
ISSA PEREZ (Guest Artist - Dancer) (they/them/theirs) is a native of the Bronx, NY. They went to high school at North Carolina School of the Arts ‘09 and went on to receive a BFA in dance performance from SUNY Purchase ‘13. While at Purchase, Issa had the honor of performing works by Pam Tanowitz, Lar Lubovitch, Twyla Tharp, Nicolo Fonte, Kate Skarpetowska, and John Heginbotham. Once graduated, Issa was honored to create and perform with GALLIM (2013-2017), going on to work with choreographers including Loni Landon, Amy Gardner, Chuck Wilt, Kate Skatpetowska, and Damani Pompey, and was later featured in the cast of Punchdrunk’s Sleep No More. Perez has been featured as a model in campaigns by Adidas, Alexander Wang, and Daniel Vosovic’s, The Kit, and in international publications like Billboard, Elle, Vogue, and PAPER Magazine with The Dragon Sisters.
REGINALD “RIVKA” WILKINS (Composer) is a pianist, composer, and electronic music artist based in Pittsburgh, PA. After receiving his B.A. in Architecture from the University of Pittsburgh (2011), he decided to further explore his passion for form and space through sound. His work spans a full spectrum of genres through collaborations with various churches, productions, clubs, companies, and artists. His most notable project, RIVKA, plays with texture and atmosphere in an effort to create a nostalgic environment for reflection, healing, and relaxation. More info at soundcloud.com/babyt33th.

SHARONE HALEVY (Guest Artist - Painter), a New York City commissionbased abstract expressionist. Her paintings are influenced by her and her clients' stories, inspirations, and hopes. Sound is foundational to Sharone’s process, so when creating a commission, she collaborates with her clients to provide music which informs the paintings she creates. Sharone is now creating work for clients all over the world: from New York to LA, Israel, London, Canada, South Africa, and Australia. Her work has been created live for audiences during original performance piece
UNTITLED ’54 about the life of Helen Frankenthaler which was in residence at The New Ohio Theater as well live painting as various weddings and performances in which she captured the heart and energy of the day at venues such as Handsome Hollow and The Kester Homestead. Her paintings have also been exhibited in the New York Art Fair, Teal Canvas, and Gallery 104 in SoHo, as well as having created murals and collaborations for locations like Joe’s Coffee, Brooklyn Grange, The Ellington, Playwrights Horizons Downtown, Hosh Yoga, West Elm, and more. BURKE BROWN (Lighting Designer)'s recent designs include projects with the La Scala Ballet Theater, English National Ballet, and Hubbard Street Dance Chicago. His work has been presented at The Joyce Theater, Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center, New York City Center, Radio City Music Hall, and other theaters across North America, Europe, and Russia. Other dance projects include work with Bayerisches Staatsballett, Ballet West, Kansas City Ballet, Charlotte Ballet, TU Dance, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, Parsons Dance, Houston Ballet, and Aszure Barton & Artists. Brown has also designed Off-Broadway, in regional theater, and for music artists of all types. Originally from North Carolina, Brown now lives in New York City. He received his MFA from the Yale School of Drama and is a member of Wingspace Theatrical Design.
