GALLIM ARTISTS

JASMINE ALISCA (she/her) is a dancer from Las Vegas, Nevada who started her dance training at a young age in ballet, jazz, tap, and contemporary. She then graduated from Las Vegas Academy of the Arts and carried on to SUNY Purchase College where she just finished her third year as a dance major with a concentration in composition. At SUNY Purchase College, she has been able to train in many forms of modern dance techniques such as Graham, Cunningham, Limon, DOVA, and Horton. Jasmine has also been able to perform works by Jie-hung Connie Shiau, Loni Landon, Andrea Miller, and Jenn Freeman. She is expected to graduate in the Spring of 2025.

BILLY BARRY (he/him) was born in New York in 1989. He trained at The Ailey School from 2003 - 2007 and performed with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre in 2006. Billy continued training and graduated from The Juilliard School in 2011. During his time at Juilliard, he performed with GALLIM Dance and Keigwin + Co. He was part of the original cast of GALLIM’s WONDERLAND. He joined the Batsheva Ensemble in 2011 and Batsheva Dance Company in 2012. In 2022, he was appointed Assistant Rehearsal Director of Batsheva Dance Company. As a choreographer, Billy has created several short works, both contemporary and commercial. In 2022, Billy and Gianni Notarnicola began creating together, developing a movement language and style of their own. The two have since premiered two duets (B.O.A.T.S and G.O.A.T.S) that have performed in Varda Hall, Suzanne Dellal Hall, Tmuna Theatre, Habait Theatre, Tanzfaktur Koln and Rotterdam. In 2023, Billy choreographed solo works on himself and others that have performed at the CCA Tel Aviv-Yafo, Inbal Theatre and The Juilliard School. He was also the recipient of the Yair Shapira Award for dance excellence in 2019.

DONTERREO CULP (he/him) is a New York City-based freelance dancer and choreographer with a BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography from East Carolina University and a minor in Business Administration. In 2018, he received the Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity Award, which allowed him to create an evening’s length work and really hone in on his choreographic processes. Donterreo's passion for dance has led him to perform with renowned choreographers such as Kyle Abraham, Alanna Morris, Richard Smith, Jennifer Archibald and many more. He has attended prestigious programs such as Springboard Danse Montreal and the Trinity Laban London Conservatoire of Music and Dance. Donterreo has worked with Nimbus Dance, performing works by Sofia Nappi, Kristen Klein, Dawn Marie Bazemore, and Samuel Pott. He is currently a company member with GALLIM Dance under the direction of Andrea Miller. Donterreo is always seeking opportunities to collaborate with artists who are pushing the boundaries of what is possible in dance and strives to create works that are true and authentic.

BRIANA DEL MUNDO (she/her) is of Filipino descent and a native of Calgary, Canada. She obtained her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance at the Juilliard School and soon after joined Ballet BC as an Emerging Artist under the direction of Medhi Walerski for their 2023/24 season. During her collegiate years, she performed works by Ohad Naharin, Jawole Willa Jo Zollar, and Jermaine Spivey and Spenser Theberge. Beyond school, her tenure with Ballet BC brought her to explore and perform works by Johan Inger, William Forsythe, Imre & Marne van Opstal, Shahar Binyamini, Crystal Pite, and David Raymond and Tiffany Tregarthen of Out Innerspace. Briana also developed an interest in fashion during her time at Juilliard, where she worked as a

co-stylist and collaborated through movement direction with Brooklyn-based fashion designer, Delfina Balda. Now based in New York, Briana is eager to immerse herself in its vibrant cultural landscape and is delighted to join GALLIM for her inaugural season.

VICTORIA CHASSÉ DOMINGUEZ (she/her) grew up in Orlando, Florida where she started her dance training. She graduated from the Conservatory of Dance at SUNY Purchase College earning her BFA in dance performance in 2024. At Purchase, she received the Bert Terbough award. She has performed in works by Andrea Miller, Martha Graham, Doug Varone, Ehizoje Azeke and Bill T. Jones. Victoria has recently begun dancing with GALLIM marking a new chapter in her journey.

WAVERLY FREDERICKS (he/him) originally from Washington Heights, New York, received his BFA in Dance from The Juilliard School under the direction of Alicia Graf Mack and Mario Alberto Zambrano. Waverly began his training at Dance Theatre of Harlem then later attended Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School, the Ailey School, and MOVE|NYC|. Waverly has appeared as a top eight finalist on Season 17 of So You Think You Can Dance. His summers have taken him to Alonzo King LINES Ballet and Jacob’s Pillow. Waverly has also performed the works of Medhi Walerski, Ohad Naharin, Spenser Theberge and Jermaine Spivey, Sidra Bell, Jawole Willa Jo Zollar, Sonya Tayeh, and Norbert De La Cruz III, among others. As a choreographer, Waverly’s choreographic works have appeared in Choreographers and Composers 2021 and Choreographic Honors 2022 and 2023. MOVE|NYC|’s Young Professionals Program as well as MOVE|NYC|’s SWEAT Lab Residency 2024. He feels an extensive amount of gratitude for the journey he has been on and can’t wait to see what else is in store.

MARC ANTHONY GUTIERREZ (he/him) is from the Bay Area, where he began his dance training with DACPAC under the direction of Cheryl Copeland and Dominique Lomuljo. He received his BFA from SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Dance (2022) as a scholarship recipient. During his senior year he began working with GALLIM and assisted Miller on a new commission for A.I.M (2023). Now, he is currently dancing for GALLIM under Andrea Miller and Doug Varone and Dancers. He’s attended intensives at San Francisco Conservatory of Dance, Alonzo King Lines, and Springboard Danse Montreal. Over the years, he has had the privilege of performing works by Sidra Bell, Doug Varone, Andrea Miller, and Kyle Abraham.

INDIA HOBBS (she/her) began training at The Chicago Multi-Cultural Dance Center. In 2013, Hobbs joined The Chicago Academy for the Arts class ’17. During India’s time at The Academy, she performed works set by Brian Brooks, Jonathan Alsberry, and Stephanie Martinez. Following her completion at CAA, Hobbs continued her training at The Boston Conservatory. While at The Conservatory, India performed choreography by Loni Landon, Catherine Coury, Martha Nichols, and Mark Morris. In 2021, Hobbs received her BFA in Contemporary dance. While living in NYC, India has had the fortune to perform in the 2021 Open Call Exhibition at The Shed, work with art collective Haus of PVMNT, led by Christopher Kinsey and Maggy Costales, as well as, KnoName Artist, directed by Roderick George. In 2022, Hobbs joined GALLIM, where she continues to perform a variety of Andrea Miller’s repertoire and teaches GALLIM Methods in classes & workshops throughout the city. Hobbs is honored to have performed in theaters like, Chelsea Factory, The Joyce Theatre, amongst many others throughout the East coast.

THOMAS HOGAN (he/him) was born and raised in New York City. He is an alumni of LaGuardia Arts High School and was a 2019 National YoungArts Winner in Choreography. He recently graduated from SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Dance as a Composition Concentration. Thomas has performed works by Jie-Hung Connie Shiau, Micaela Taylor, Jonathan Fredrickson, Bob Fosse, and Trisha Brown. Most recently, he assisted Annie Rigney in her creation for the Martha Graham Dance Company and performed in her evening length work …she was becoming untethered at the 92nd St Y. Thomas is thrilled to be joining GALLIM for their fall season.

NOUHOUM KOITA (he/him) is a Japanese and Malian dance artist from Brooklyn, NY. He started his training at the National Dance Institute. Koita then went on to train at LaGuardia Arts High School and the Juilliard School. He is also an alumni of MOVE|NYC|‘s Young Professionals Program under the direction of Nigel Campbell and Chanel DaSilva. In 2020, Koita was named a National YoungArts Finalist at the Gold Award level, and a U.S. Presidential Scholar in the Arts. He has performed with Aszure Barton and Artists, kNoName Artist, TRI314 Multidisciplinary Visual Performances, and GALLIM. Koita has performed works by Trisha Brown, Roderick George, Ohad Naharin, Shamel Pitts, Aszure Barton and Andrea Miller.

VIVIAN PAKKANEN (she/her) is a Finnish dance artist trained at the Oslo National Academy of The Arts in Norway (BA) and the Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance (MA). She was formerly an ensemble artist with Nagelhus Schia Productions in 2020/2021 and Rambert Dance's 2019/2020 cohort, Rambert2, where she participated in the creation of Andrea Millers SAMA. Vivian’s work extends to live concerts, television, and music videos, notably with recording artist AURORA. She has performed in the works of choreographers like Jermaine Spivey, Ohad Naharin, Sharon Eyal, Liv Lockwood, Tormod Midtbø, Ludvig Daae, Ingri Fiksdal, Kristin Helgebostad, Yaniv Cohen, Kyuja Bae, among others, showcasing her artistry at renowned venues such as Sadler’s Wells, The Norwegian Opera and Ballet and Dansens Hus Oslo. In addition to performing with GALLIM Vivian has contributed to Miller’s ’Les Noces’ for the English National Ballet as an R&D artist.

BRYAN TESTA (he/him) is a NYC based dancer from Rochester, New York. He received his BFA in 2022 from Marymount Manhattan College with a concentration in Modern and a minor in Business Management. Afterwards, Bryan joined the inaugural cohort of Gibney’s Professional Training Program, GibneyPRO, where he continued his training under the leadership of Alexandra Wells, Gilbert T. Small II, and Bret Yamanaka. Bryan has performed works by Hofesh Shechter, Yin Yue, Rena Butler, Laja Feild, Jenn Freeman, and more. He has also received tutelage through several workshops and intensives including Springboard Danse Montréal, GALLIM, and Johannes Wieland. Bryan joined Andrea Miller’s GALLIM in the fall of 2022. Since then he has performed in their GALLIM at 15 and 2023 Joyce seasons, staged Miller’s work at Marymount Manhattan College and SUNY Purchase, and had the opportunity to develop movement research/ rehearsal assist in her Les Noces creation on English National Ballet. Additionally, Bryan has danced for Roderick George, Belinda McGuire, Reworked Runway SS ’23 & ’24, as well as Rioult Dance NY in their recent tour through Paris.

GEORGIA USBORNE (she/her) is a performer, choreographer and teacher based in Brooklyn, NY. She was a company member of Bern Ballet, under the direction of Cathy Marston, from 2010-2013, working with choreographers including

Alexander Ekman, Adonis Foniadakis, Johan Inger, Didy Veldman and Noa Zuk. Georgia has been a member of Andrea Miller’s GALLIM since 2014, collaborating as a Dancer, Teacher and Rehearsal Director. Performance highlights include The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Joyce Theater, and Grand Theater de Luxembourg. Georgia was a resident cast member of Punch Drunk’s immersive production Sleep No More from 2023-2024, performing the role of Lady Macduff. Georgia teaches Dance to all ages and levels, and choreographs for film and live performance. Her Dance Films Villa Dei Misteri (2020), Magnolia Moon (2022) and The Lines In Between (2023) have received awards at International Film Festivals. Georgia is the Founding Director of CreateART, interdisciplinary performance and residency platform for emerging art, and has worked as Community Organizer for Arts On Site and Studio Programming Coordinator for GALLIM. She holds a BA Hons from Central School of Ballet and an MA from London School of Contemporary Dance.

ARIKA YAMADA (she/her) was born in Detroit, Michigan, USA in 1987 to her parents who moved to Detroit from Japan in the mid 80’s. She received her early training from The Joffrey Ballet School, Nutmeg Conservatory and EDGE Performing Arts. In 2009, Arika received her BFA from The Juilliard School under the directorship of Lawrence Rhodes. Upon graduation she joined GALLIM Dance in NY and originated roles in multiple works with Andrea Miller such as WONDERLAND which she has received recognition from The New York Times. As a member of GöteborgsOperan Danskompani between 2013-2024 Arika originated roles in works of choreographers such as Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui (NOETIC), Damien Jalet (SKID), Alan Lucien Oyen, Marina Mascarell, Marcos Morau, Michael Keegan Dolan, Wang/Ramirez, Alexander Ekman, Imre and Marne Van Opstal, Tom Weinberger, and Emma Porter. She has also reinterpreted repertoires of Ohad Naharin, Sharon Eyal, and Crystal Pite. Arika has performed over 100 shows of NOETIC by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui and SKID by Damien Jalet throughout prestigious theaters in Europe. In 2020 Arika founded The AHA Room, and works as an artistic advisor, mentor and performance coach to high performers, Artistic, and Creatives.
