Joy Elaine Brown-Higgs

I'm 52 years old. I divorced my first husband of 20 years and remarried 12 years ago to a wonderful man, Norman. My ex and I are still friends, I think this is important for our daughters. It doesn't set a good example if we can't get along for them if nothing else. I love my family and I am the proud grandma of 13 grandkids. I'm bipolar and that often makes it difficult for me to keep close friends. I was born in Porterville. I have 3 daughters and 15 grandchildren, and 1 great grandson and one more great grandbaby on the way. I live with my husband, Norman and our dog, Jojo, a Miniature Schnauzer. My life has always been like a roller coaster ride, moving up and down -- that's normal for someone with Bipolar Disorder. I much preferred the label, Manic Depressant it better describes my feelings.
