East v WEst Starts Monday 20 April at 19:10 It’s East v West this April on Food Network as we showcase the best food on America’s East and West Coasts. Food(ography) stops off in New York for a bite to eat at the legendary Sardi’s restaurant on Broadway before heading to San Francisco on the opposite side of the country to chow down on Cherry Duck Fat ice cream from Lafitte. G Garvin tries New York’s home-grown gin from Breuelen Distillery as part of his Roadtrip, while in Southern California he’s put to work in the kitchen of The Serving Spoon, whipping up salmon croquettes. Andy Bates is on a quest for great-tasting American street food, catching up with the owner of The Cinnamon Snail Food Truck in NYC where he flips out over their vegan pancakes. On the West Coast, Andy meets up with Dave Dahni and Michelle Grant, founders of the Grilled Cheese Truck, who invent a grilled cheese sandwich in Andy’s honour called ‘The Queen’. And, as always, Guy Fieri is searching for the best local restaurants in Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.

Man FirE FOOD Premieres on Tuesday 7 April at 20:50 Americans love to cook with fire, from small campfires to custom-made grills and smokers. Man Fire Food host Roger Mooking follows the smoke signals across country as he visits the home cooks, pitmasters and chefs who are fascinated by food and fire. Roger heads to Charleston, SC, to visit the Big Red Rig, a bright red double-decker, 30-foot trailer which includes two huge smokers cooking traditional pulled pork, ribs and chicken for competitions across the country. Deep in the heart of Texas, Sandra Julian keeps the tradition of cowboy cuisine alive with her mobile kitchen serving up chicken fried steak over an open fire and peach cobbler baked in a cast iron Dutch oven. And if you like it really big, how about a former Cessna airplane that’s been turned into a smoker for pork butts and ribs with grilled chicken.
