So this past month President Eric Einspahr and I attended the Officer bonding. I personally thought it was a great opportunity to meet other people in our division who had the same position as I. The DLT’s had many fun and interactive activities planned for us. Some of those were an escape room which was loads of fun, and my personal favorite activity the love notes. Now I know what you are thinking, but it was actually an opportunity for officers to thank and give praises to other officers who have helped them through this crazy year.

Happy Holidays everyone! I hope this last month has been great and has kept you plenty busy! This month and really this time of year is the time of giving and the time of togetherness. We have a great holiday service project for you, but to read more about that go to our Club Updates page.
In other news, this month has been quite busy for me. During quarantine I have traveled which was pretty scary to be honest but all is well and I am back home. Thanksgiving was great and I am beyond excited for Christmas although it will be fairly different, it will be great to spend that time with my family. This month I decided to create an image that went well with our Winter wonderland theme.
I chose these characters for my drawing because it really brought me back to my childhood. I love Lilo and Stitch, when I was growing up, I had a bookshelf full of toys from the Disney stores and one shelf was lined with stuffed animals and dolls that were Lilo and Stitch. I watched the movies constantly and even one time tried to feed my toys popcorn. Drawing this really brought me back to “simpler times”when life was easy and I didn’t have to have a care in the world. I really need that whimsical feel during this time, so I hope you enjoy my image as much as I do.Happy Holiday to all and to all a safe night!

Unfortunately we still have no official day for the first meeting, but we do have some good news: This past week club President Eric Einspahr filled out our school club application form so that going forward we can be recognized as a club at Amplus! I am beyond excited to announce that this year we are having the first annual WINTER WEEK OF SERVICE! This time of year doing a little extra service could serve us all well (Especially with the big guy if you know what I mean: SANTA). More than that though we are putting our needs aside for the needs of others and trust me this holiday season there are plenty of people out there who need a little bit of happiness and joy. For many families this will be the roughest holiday season yet so with this project we hope to add a little joy to someone's day and holidays.
The Service week will start on Friday December 18, 2020. SO that means THIS FRIDAY and will end on Thursday December 24, 2020. Most activities would go friday to friday or thursday to thursday but since Friday the 25 is a holiday we want to give that day to you and your families. These are super fun and exciting projects. Keep in mind, these are not just so you can get your spot on the nice list, this is so you can make someone's holiday season a little bit brighter and a lot more special. .
12/18/2020 - Day 1: Make holiday cards to send to troops overseas.
12/21/2020 - Day 2: Make holiday cards for neighbors (wish them a happy holidays and thank them)
12/20/2020 - Day 3: Record a video for front line responders (wishing them a happy holiday and thanking them for their work). One big video will be created and sent to departments in the Las Vegas valley.
12/21/2020 - Day 4: Write holiday cards to the teachers. Make sure to sign up and when you do you will write a letter or letters to the teacher you are assigned.
12/22/2020 - Day 5: Donate at least one bag (grocery bag to trash bag) of clothing to a non-profit organization
12/23/2020 - Day 6: Serve your family, write cards and make them a warm drink.
12/24/2020 - Day 7: Serve yourself, relax with friends and hang out for a movie night
