Suzanne Stevenson Procedure: A “Code Blue” alert indicates that a person/child is in need of emergency medical help immediately. Step 1--- The “identifier” calls both administration and the school secretaries with the location. Use any means available. Step 2--- School Secretaries/Office Personnel will notify both buildings by phone and radio to signal the activation of a “Code Blue” alert with the location, and will notify 911. Step 3--- School Secretaries/Administrators will place an “All out call” over the Public Address System and Administrative Radios for AED trained “Responders” to report to the location. This procedure should take place in both buildings simultaneously to insure a prompt arrival of certified personnel to the scene. Step 4---All trained AED/CPR Responders report to the location specified.
