Dear Parent of __________________________________ of Class________________ The purpose of a Daily Report is to further improve your child’s academic, social and behavior wellbeing in school. The Daily Report is a useful tool that is used to help parents understand what occurs in the school and in the class. This provides you with a communication tool. A child’s progress depends on communication between the home and school, and PS 16 is committed to ensuring that our school is a place where students learn and staff teaches without disruption. In order to achieve this goal, students must be taught to assume responsibility for their behavior. When parents and teacher are strongly supportive of each other, research indicates that children greatly improve in all areas of school. When reviewing a Daily Report with your child, please try to remember that the teacher is reporting useful information for you to be aware of, and to discuss with the child on a level appropriate. The teacher is an important person in the life of a child. Please feel free to contact me regarding the Daily Report.
