First, let’s be really clear: This is for you and only for you.

No one will be grading these tests and no one but you needs to see your answers, so be as honest as you possibly can. Otherwise, it won’t serve the purpose. And that purpose is selfevaluation. 3. DO YOU HAVE A WEBSITE OR BLOG? No, not yet. I'm not sure how to get started. Don't panic. You don't really have to have a site to make sales, but it's usually easier if you do. Making a sale or two is not just about making money. Too many people are desperate to make money online because of their current situations. Listen, building a business online is not a quick cure for your financial issues in most cases. You are building a business and that takes time. Building a house is a great metaphor for building a business. I built my house. It took me a year to do it with a lot of help and instruction. I wasn't an expert log home builder, so I got the advice of someone who was. I still did the work, but I did it under his guidance. Nearly a year passed before we could move into the house. It was a slow process for me because it was my first house. And I made a lot of mistakes. In fact, I had to build one wall three times. But when it was done, it was done right. My parents live in a retirement community that has grown from hundreds of acres of orange orchards to more than 70,000 homes in 15 years. That community closes nearly 600 home sales per month. Yes, but it's not optimized to sell products. I can't remember where I heard it first, but there's a business axiom that 80 percent of success is marketing. Coca Cola is a marketing company first, a sugar water vendor second. Microsoft had the ability to push software before it was ready for prime time. They keep loyal customers because they are a great marketing company. A high quality product is important; marketing is key. Yes, I have several sites that are converting well. In a terrific book titled Made to Stick, I first heard of a concept called "The Curse of Knowledge." I think I'd always understood it at a core level, but no one had ever put such great examples of it in front of me. Basically, the curse is that when you know a topic or technique inside out, you have a terrible time - almost an impossible time - trying to explain or demonstrate it to people who are not familiar with it. Yes, some, but I need more. Buy. Borrow. Steal. Those seem to be the three proven ways of getting consistent traffic to your site. At the NAMS workshop, you'll learn about all three. Buy traffic? That's simple. Using pay-per-action advertising is available to anyone with a credit card, but it's a very tricky proposition. The NAMS instructors will steer you away from this unless you know your conversion numbers and have the ability to monitor the streams consistently. Search Engine Optimization can be a long process, but the results are usually long-term, too.
