A history of family values Our Story

In 1956 Ray White’s youngest son, Alan, took the helm. Under Alan’s leadership, the company flourished, establishing several suburban branches in the early 1960s.

The Ray White Real Estate Group was founded in 1902, when its namesake, Ray, established a stock station agency in Crows Nest in Queensland. After more than 20 successful years in business in Crows Nest, Ray moved his agency to Brisbane. Ray White Real Estate survived the Great Depression, several recessions and the economic pressures of World War II, becoming the first agency to provide a comprehensive service in all facets of real estate.

Brian White, the current chairman, became managing director in 1976. By 1982, the company had 60 branch offices throughout Queensland and Brian had decided to move into franchising. The first franchised office was established at Capalaba in Brisbane in 1982. Since then, Ray White had grown rapidly across all states and territories of Australia with

representation in all major metropolitan and regional centres. In 1993, Ray White crossed the Tasman and now has a widespread network of offices across the North and South Islands. Two years later, in 1995, Ray White commenced operations in Indonesian where we are now the leading real estate franchise.

In 2003 Carla decided on a career change after working as a Branch Manager in Retail Banking for Westpac Banking Corporation. She wanted an exciting industry that was still customer focused, but also personally fulfilling where she could apply her solid knowledge from corporate background, and depth of skills, on a day to day basis. Her choice was Real Estate. Carla initially worked in Property Management then joined a prominent office on the Redcliffe Peninsula, as personal assistant to the highly successful selling Principal. Carla enjoyed her role and soon completed her full Real Estate licence. Relocating to the Sunshine Coast, Carla purchased her home from Greg, and after experiencing the great customer service and systems provided by Greg Clarke and the Ray White Team first hand, joined as Sales Assistant to “Alan White Elite Performer” Greg Clarke. Carla coordinates the day to day

scheduling of Greg and assists both vendors and buyers with any needs as they arise to ensure a smooth experience for all. Carla is committed to providing outstanding assistance with all of your real estate needs. Holding an AAMC Diploma for Mortgage Consultants and a stint in Mortgage Brokering whilst a Personal Assistant in a local Financial Planning Business, Carla has gained an understanding in these areas and importance of the right advice. Carla is all about the beautiful Sunshine Coast and the lifestyle it has to offer, although, she also loves the country life, so if she isn’t walking the coast or spending time on a beach, you might find her at a rodeo or maybe even camping somewhere!


Kaylee Clarke Kaylee joined The Greg Clarke Team in May 2016 after relocating from Brisbane to the Sunshine Coast. Upon returning from England in 2006 Kaylee accepted a position with the AP Eagers Group as a customer service representative dealing with a variety of clients.

During the past 7 years Kaylee has purchased and sold a number of properties which has provided Kaylee with personal experience, knowledge and understanding of how it feels to be in the seat of a buyer and a seller. Kaylee took a short break from work after the birth of her beautiful daughter in 2015 and is now part of the support team to Greg and Carla. Marketing time The most important marketing time is in the first few weeks. Best not to waste them. Buyers seek out ‘fresh’ listings. New listings are always of interest to the existing buyer group.

In the digital age, buyers become aware of a new listing very quickly. Sometimes within hours of the listing. This means that the wave of all buyers that are ‘in-the-market’ will hit within the first one to two weeks.
