It’s December - is it too late to list? As the Christmas holidays come roaring towards us, some are wondering if they’ve left it too late to list their home. There is a perception that when we knock off work for the year, the entire property industry shuts down. Nothing could be further from the truth and there is no real estate shut-down in sight.

Somewhat counterintuitively, the reverse is true for a section of the property buying public. It’s at this time of year, when some of us finally have a little spare time on our hands, and, as we are preparing to spend Christmas in a home we’ve been thinking of upgrading or downsizing for a little while, the issue forces itself front and centre in our minds. The idea of moving house has possibly been tickling the back of our minds for a few months, maybe a year or so. We’ve been flicking through the listings on realestate.com.au and seeing what is out there at the moment that’s in our budget. We wonder how much easier Christmas would be in that home with the bigger living room, or maybe that one with the bigger kitchen and smaller yard? Sure, it’s probably too late for this Christmas, but what about next Christmas, we think to ourselves.
