I’m a first home buyer – should I use a buyer’s agent?

The recently returned LNP Government has promised to help first home buyers get into the market, which is welcome news for those who have struggled to get a deposit together. In Queensland, first home buyers make up around 25 per cent of all owner occupiers, with about 22,000 first home buyers getting into the market every year. But until now, government help has been limited to those willing to buy off the plan or new. The new LNP measure will offer help to those who want to buy an established home. But if this is you, where do you turn for help? The advice of well-meaning relatives coupled with the barrage of information online can make the first home buying experience overwhelmingly daunting. Who’s voice can you trust when it comes to investing in your biggest financial asset? Using a buyer’s agent when trying to find your dream home can alleviate some of the confusion, time wasting and unexpected mishaps that can occur when purchasing a property. Here’s how:

Home to Corbould Park racecourse as well as more than 10,000 people, this suburb offers larger blocks where there is ample room for the kids to run, a caravan and maybe even a boat. Some vendors have held their property for many years, generations in some instances. Content with the current market, and surrounded with such buyer confidence, some are set to sell well.

Buyers on the other hand know that real estate on the Coast is a good investment. With so much infrastructure on the go, people consider real estate a safe investment for the future. Days on market varies from suburb to suburb and property to property. The current median house price shows a value of $550,000. Rentals are tight, and what is interesting is that investors are looking to Caloundra for all the right reasons. They see future growth and a secure investment for their money.
