WHAT THESE FIGURES SHOW

• Competition at auctions remained strong throughout the quarter with an average of 2.52 bidders at each auction.

• Clearance rates remained strong and consistent through the quarter and 2023 more generally with 56% of properties selling at auction day. Cumulative post auction sales then saw the success rate climb to 91% post auction.

• Sellers are discounting only minimally (0.46%) where as buyers at auction are paying more +3.38% (lift rate) on auction day to secure the property.

Local buyers are seemingly doing the majority of the buying (70%) we have noticed a rise of interstate investors bidding on local investment properties.

While the interstate buyers are still being outbid by the local buyer market, this group remains active.
