For the love of Lawn Bowls, make the Sunshine Coast your holiday destination in 2023.

It is my pleasure to welcome bowlers and visitors from near and far to this exciting destination. We are back with a new format of games and a broader spread of prize money; every game you win you win a prize.

The guru of carnival organisers, Barry Sullivan, is back as the Event Manager and is keen to provide a carnival and a holiday that everybody can enjoy.

As I write this, the Sunshine Coast Ladies and Men’s Associations are preparing to amalgamate. On behalf of both associations and our member clubs I encourage you to look closely at the new program of events spread over 15 days at various locations across the Coast.

I want to acknowledge and thank our sponsors including the Sunshine Coast Council, Maroochy RSL, McKenzie Aged Care and Taylor

Bowls for their support. I would also like to acknowledge the Clubs and their sponsors who are hosting associated events before and after the primary carnival games.

During the carnival there are two rest days to provide you with the opportunity to visit the many tourist attractions on the Coast and in the coastal hinterlands nearby.

We are already experiencing significant interest for the 2023 carnival so don’t miss out, register now.

Pull on some stretchy pants, grab a picnic basket and head to Kenilworth Dairies. Taste a cheesy melt or avo and halloumi on sourdough at Poppa’s Cafe and get some cheesy goodies t o go from the Cellar Door. Within a scenic 45 minute drive through the hinterland you’ll 300 local and international cheeses plus gelato and baked goods.

There’s no better way to warm up in winter than with a cuddle… from a koala - it’s just how we do things on the Sunshine Coast. Head to Australia Zoo and snuggle with a cute Koala, get a pic or two and learn about these adorable creatures from their knowledgeable keepers. Want more animal encounters?
