Inspirational work space in Manchester As individual as your business.
Make your mark The work space you choose says a lot about your business. It reflects on you, your values, your vision and your brand.
We all know that branding goes beyond your logo, your business cards and your website. It is your business’ DNA and it should also reflect in the place your business calls home. When it comes to your work space, first impressions count and this doesn’t just apply to the creative sector or companies with clients who pay a visit from time to time. You can have the best marketing strategy ever devised, backed up by the most innovative of websites, but all that effort could be in vain, if the perception people have of your brand is shattered the moment they step inside your door.
But it’s not all about image. How your staff feel about their work space is also crucial. Your staff are your brand ambassadors and a bright, vibrant and creative environment can also help inspire and boost productivity. The office is also a place for you to showcase your corporate culture and live out your brand – a concept that is all too often overlooked. So let’s face it. The economy is changing. Business is changing. We have to adapt, and so it follows that our definition of what an ‘office’ can mean, has to change. It’s time to evolve.

2114 TOTAL NUMBER OF CUSTOMERS
To help you make the space distinctively your own, we openly encourage a collaborative approach to the design of your office. We want you to view the work space not as something to be taken ‘off-the-shelf’ but more as a ‘blank canvas’ for you to turn your ideas of the perfect office into a reality.
Manchester International Festival, Blackfriars House
‘Blank canvas’ work space We have a range of inspirational spaces available across Manchester city centre and we can help at every step of the way with design consultancy, space planning, fit-out and relocation.
The idea is to create a space that reflects you and your brand whilst challenging your perception of what an ‘office’ looks like. Maybe you do your best work in the kitchen and want to make that the hub of your meeting space? How about a pool table in your boardroom or rowing machines to replace fax machines? A putting green perhaps or hot-desking at breakfast bars with Sky News on tap? A gym, somewhere to practice yoga or an office fitted out like a library… the possibilities are endless.
St James’
“ Bruntwood listened
and worked with us to identify a space with potential and then to fit it out in a way that suited MIF perfectly. It feels like our home and reflects something of the spirit of the Festival – original and creative.” Christine Cort Managing Director at Manchester International Festival Customer at Blackfriars House

Social networking Let’s face it, the way we work has changed. People need all sorts of spaces to come together to work and ‘no man is an island’ as they say.
Shared spaces and informal working opportunities are all aspects of modern business to encourage creative thinking, collaboration and communication.
If your work ethos is about collaboration, team work and flexibility, then perhaps open-plan designs work best for you with WiFienabled informal meeting spaces.
Steve Jobs, co-founder of Apple was once quoted as saying “Ideas don’t happen in the boardroom, they happen in corridors”. To us, this was a reflection on how the practice of modern business and ‘work’ is no longer a concept that is confined to your desk. We have adapted to work in all kinds of new ways so our work spaces need to mirror this.
Where teams work in more of a project-led environment and privacy is key, then maybe more of a cellular design would suit you. The key is to find a space that reflects you, your brand and your working culture.
Connectivity is key Since the ‘digital revolution’ our working practices have dramatically changed and having access to super-fast broadband, WiFi and cloud technology has redefined how we ‘work’. Bruntwood is working closely with Metronet (UK), a pioneering Northwest Internet Service Provider to deliver ‘super-connected’ office space. Metronet (UK) is a business-only service provider currently supplying more than 25% of Manchester’s largest 500 businesses. The partnership will see all of Bruntwood’s 110 buildings in Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds and Birmingham
connected to the Metronet (UK) high speed Internet network and will create one of the most advanced metropolitan area networks in the UK. This means our customers can expect connection speeds of 1Mb per second to 1Gb per second as standard and even up to 10Gb per second in some instances, with easy set-up, instant scalability and a 99.95% Service Level Agreement (SLA) for network uptime.
Locations Creative ‘blank canvas’ work space is available across all these Bruntwood locations in Manchester city centre. 08
